Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

Whoops. Bad day of eating and no exercise today!
At work by 11:00 I had a terrible headache due to needing to eat. I don't know why I was so hungry but the headache was awful. Had my lunch and my head felt better. I stopped at the store and got chocolate for evening snacks and as I left work to go to ride I thought, I'll just have a couple m&m's since I was so hungry before I thought it would tie me over till j got home. But 2 turned to 3 turned to 4 turned to the entire bag! (And it was the 'bowl size' bag!). Like 900 cals!
I had out it away partway through but got it back out again!
Lunged my horse and he was quite good though he is currently missing a shoe! Bad pony.
Had to hook up the horse trailer and clean it out of shavings so my brother could use it to pick something up and do we could take it to the trailer repair place to have something's fixed on it.
On my way back home I had to stop and but my horse a rain sheet since he destroyed his last one I also ordered a similar bit to the one my trainer lent me.
Had to park on the road with the trailer so got in a short walk to and from the trailer but that was my max exercise for the day.
Had a usual supper though used my biggest thing of chicken and a huge potato.
But I also had more chocolate and popcorn.
Will do better tomorrow! I feel like today was just a one-off.

I think we all have those days sometimes Mystic & they can frighten you. They seem to come from no-where! I think you need to change the name of your diary sweetie though as the "I'm still fat" no longer applies! No way! Send me some of that house-cleaning energy please xo Cate

I got around to watching your video finally. Great job! Your horse is beautiful and you two obviously make a great team. I would think it's a bit scary.

Thanks guys.
153.4 this morning. Yikes, up nearly 4 pounds from my lowest official weigh in a couple weeks ago! Some of it's water weight, but by now a pound or 2 is actual fat gain!
Well, haven't had the greatest week eating wise, or working out wise. However I am back on track today. Ate well today, and did both weights and cardio!
65 pound squats
40 pound bench press and barbell row

On my run I forced myself to run the entire 5k with no walking, so I let myself run as slow as needed.
5km run (3.1 miles), 33:40 duration. Pace 6.41 min/km (10.32 mins/mile). 459 cals burn according to mapmyrun.
Then did a walk cool down. 1.47 km (0.91 miles).
I also did a 5 min warm up before weight training. 0.45 miles (0.72km)
Total distance 7.19 km (4.47miles)

Doing a lot of cleaning of my house. Lots of laundry. Went through all of my clothes to see what I wanted to keep, donate, or throw out. Lots of folding of clean laundry. Just have a small amount of laundry left, a little tidying in my bedroom, and putting some stuff away in my bathroom, then just my porch. Seems like I have done so much with so much still left to do!

Lunch: Lasagna
Supper: Chicken Wrap
Snack: Reece's pieces, popcorn
Total Cals: 1254

I have a wedding tomorrow. Ugh, not a big wedding person, plus it's hard when I just got on track with my eating, then have to go to a wedding and eat what they serve. Gonna watch what I eat the rest of the day and get a workout in in the morning.

The horse video is great and that stuff always impresses the crap out of me. Far more impressive then hitting jumpshots or calculating numbers in spreadsheets (which are pretty much my only two talents). Great job.

I will say though that the background scenery looks more like Canada than I had imagined Canada actually looked. :D

And good job continuing to fight back to get back on track. Letting the backsliding continue for weeks on end is really the only thing that stalls progress for very long, so overcoming the occasional slip up is pretty easy as long as you get right back on track.

Um, CONGRATS!! Who's the lucky guy? :reddevil:

Thanks, yes the background is fairly canadian with the mountains and greenery and farmer fields I suppose.
Very glad it's not me getting married! Yuck!
151.8 this morning. Glad to see it starting to drop back down. Want to get below 150 by the end of the month again.
I don't think I did too badly today with eating and I started the day out with a good long run to balance things out a bit.
Run stats were 65 mins (including 2 min warm up, 5 min cool down) I only took one 1 min walk break. Speed of 5.5 with 8.0 sprint at the end for 1 min. Distance 5.74 miles (9.24 km) and cal burn of 742 according to treadmill.

I didn't eat till we (me and my friend) were heading to the wedding at around 1:20. I would have preferred to eat something at my house but my friend was also hungry and I really didn't have anything in my house, so we stopped at tim hortons. The cals for my chicken burger were around 450.
After the wedding ceremony we went to a pub till the reception. Shared an order of potsticker appies with my friend. Don't know how many cals were in that. Had water to drink.
Then at the reception I had some chicken, a small amount of roast beef, a bun, a couple bites of caesar salad, 4 baby potatoes (as fries), 2 brownies, and half a small slice of cake. I also had 1 coke and a glass of sparkling juice.
I'm guessing cals were maybe around 2000. 2200 at the most. So pretty please with that for a wedding day.

I found out today that the horse dentist had found that my horse has a cracked tooth. Apparently it's a semi common issue and does not appear to be painful to my horse, but it is something I have to keep an eye on. He also had some sharp point on his teeth that were poking the inside of his cheek, with I kind of suspected due to how he was riding going to the right as compared to the left. Those got filed down so they won't bother him.

Only had time today to put some of my folded laundry away and to tidy my bathroom a bit (since my friend came over to get ready for the wedding together so I knew we would need the bathroom counter a lot). Still have one more load of laundry to fold, then just need to wash my bedding and that part is done (currently washing my second set of bedding)

Tomorrow I plan to exercise (weights then cardio), then ride, then continue working on cleaning to hopefully complete all the major stuff, then my mom will come over on monday or tuesday and we will do the deep cleaning to really make it look nice for putting it up for sale. On wednesday my carpet will be professionally shampoo'd (praying the pet stains will come out!) Then it will go up for sale Thursday. Trying by owner for a month and if it won't sell, then we will do realtor but hoping to be able to negotiate them down to a more reasonable %.

Exciting times all around I see! I´m thoroughly impressed by your get-up-and-go, good luck with the house!

Mystic we are pretty much the exact same weight right now!!! I would LOVE to be below 150 by Mon next week (1st of June!!!) BRING IT!!!!

Thanks guys. Crossing fingers for both of us fuzz!
151 today, but it was at 12 noon so a lot later than my normal weigh in
Slept in till 10:30, then stayed in bed till around 12! That's what I get for not going to bed till 1:30am last night.
Got up and went right to the gym. Did weights, then headed outside for a run.
Squats 70lbs
Overhead press 40 lbs
Deadlift 70 lbs
I initially planned to do a 5 k run, but changed my mind partway and went to 6k. I wanted to run the whole thing straight but took a 10 second walk break in the middle. I don't know why. You really can't catch your breath or rest in 10 seconds, I should just try to slow my run for a short bit. Oh well.
6 km (3.74 miles), time 38:36. Pace 6:24 mins/km (10 mins/mile or 6.0 treadmill speed). Cal burn of 544.
Total distance including warm up before weights and my walk cool down was 4.62 miles (7.44km). Total cal burn is about 641. Funny enough, my 3rd km of my run was the quickest pace.

Ate a peanut granola bar then headed to the barn. Only did a light ride as it was pretty warm and I was feeling tired.
Came back home, had a breakfast burrito, and relaxed for too long instead of cleaning. When it came to supper time I just did not have any desire to eat what I had in my house. So I actually got home, changed into shorts and tank top (so warm out today!) and went to the grocery store. Wanted to buy a bunch of this premade salad I like, but they only had one! Grr. It wasn't a big shopping trip (and I will need to go again in the next few days as I used a bunch of stuff up).
Came back home, had the salad plus some breadsticks I bought and turned on a movie. After the movie was done I finally got to work doing a little bit of cleaning. Mostly just folded laundry, and cleaned up my porch. I need to was my decorative vases that I have on my coffee table as my bird has made them gross. I have to put away my folded clothes yet today. I should have vacuumed and completely tidied my bedroom but hopefully it's enough for my mom to come over tomorrow and help me do some finishing touches.

Snack: Peanut Granola Bar
Lunch: Breakfast burrito
Supper: Salad, breadsticks
Snack: Bagel w/ PB, chocolate
Total Cals: 1697

Forgot to write some stuff, so even though it's after midnight I'm gonna add it.

Remembered that my sour cream was past its expiry date today. I had never used it so crosses fingers it was still good. It tasted ok so I got to work making not just enchiladas but also sour cream muffins to use up as much of the sour cream as possible. This is why I suddenly have to go grocery shopping soon again, cause I used up all my ingredients for stuff today. I did lick some batter off my spoon and such, but I decided that that just means the muffins will have a hair less dough in them so will be less cals than they are marked down as being so it will all even out in the end ;)
I am currently still up due to cleaning. I thought quickly putting away some folded clothes and stuff would take no time at all, but it took longer than I thought, then I still did more tidying afterwards!

And I forgot about the pics I took today.
First off, just so you stop bugging me, here's a smiling pic

And a gym pic

Wow, I saw your pics there and I'm all "You need to lose weight? Damn! What does that mean for meeeeeeee?" lol.

Your horse looks so cool, I haven't done horse riding since I was like 8. Horses are cool!

:D One great thing about living alone :D

Love the smily pic as well, you look like a whole different person!

Thanks guys. Trust me, the photo is flattering. If you look back to around the beginning of May I have some progress shots and it's much less flattering.
151.6 today. I keep praying to see a big drop, but I just have to accept that I did actually put on a couple pounds during my horse show and the week after. Darn. Just gotta work harder to get things moving.
Had a dog cancel today so got off work a little early. I went to Winners to try to find a cellphone holder for when I work out as putting it in my bra is a good way to ruin it with sweat especially as the weather gets warm. I found a nice phone holder/ water bottle holder. I initially was going to get a armband phone holder for gym workouts, but then realized that I needed to use my phone between each weight lifting set and it would be a pain to take it out of the armband every time. And when I do cardio in the gym I put my phone on the machine so don't need anything then and wouldn't be sweating on it. So decided that putting my phone in my bra for weights was the easiest/best solution for gym workouts.
I also went grocery shopping, both for me and my mom.
Went back to my house and my mom came over and we spent the evening cleaning my house to get it ready to put up for sale. My house looks great now, but my mom doesn't think the carpet cleaners are going to get all the pet stains out . She's going to try calling them tomorrow and trying to see what chance they think we might have. If the stains can't come out that means I need to get the carpets redone, which not only means money money, but also means the time it takes to arrange to have it done and figuring out how to move all my furniture somewhere so they can put it in. Can't just move it in my house as there is NO room!
I made my mom dinner. We had salsa chicken with salad. I also had breadsticks, but my mom tries not to eat too many carbs so she didn't have any. It was good.
No exercise as she didn't leave till around 8pm. But did more moving around than just sitting due to cleaning.

Lunch: 1/2 Enchilada
Supper: Salsa chicken, salad, breadstick
Snack: Chocolate, popcorn
Total Cals: 1503

You look great Mystic!!!! While the body pic is a flattering angle, the face shot is straight on and you can see how much finer your facial features are now because you have lost a significant amount. Don't play down your successes, you've come a long way in a short period of time!! :D

Thank you. I lose weight from the top down so my face, shoulders, boobs, and upper torso lose it first! Which are much less important than losing my gut and thighs! Grr, haha
150.4 this morning. Was happy to see a drop when I had resigned myself to not having one for a while.

Was pretty happy with myself today, except that I didn't ride. I felt really tired after work, however I think it was just laziness disguised as tiredness.
When I got home from work I still felt so tired, I really just wanted to sit down and relax for a while, but I knew if I did that I would NOT get up and I would NOT exercise. So I went to the bathroom and sat there for a while on my phone haha. It's the only place I can sit that I know I won't be comfortable enough to stay for the evening. My poor legs weren't too please ;)
Since I was feeling so tired, I told myself to go and only walk for my 5 mins warm up, then do my weights and be done.
I got on the treadmill and started to walk, then convinced myself at the 2 min mark to start running. I finished off the rest of my warmup at a run.
I then did my weights.
75 lbs squats (getting hard to get this up and over my head so I can do my squats)
45 lbs bench press
45 lbs barbell row
The gym was the busiest I've almost ever seen it, with a few cute guys, and I of course was in my least flattering workout outfit. Grr haha
I then managed to get myself back onto the treadmill and did 35 more mins on there (5 of those walk cool down)
5.6-5.9 speed, 1 min walk break in the middle. Total distance of both the warm up and after the weight cardio was 3.68 miles (5.92km) and total cals burned was 464 according to treadmill.
I was really quite happy that not only did I get myself to the gym, but got the energy to do as much as I should have done.

Lunch: 1/2 enchilada
Supper: Salsa Chicken, salad, breadsticks
Snack: Sour cream muffins, chocolate
Total Cals: 1496

BTW, I really want to get back to doing yoga once a week. I don't do near enough stretching in any of my other workouts and don't want to end up muscly but hardly able to bend at all!

149.8 this morning! So happy to be back in the 140's again. About 0.2 higher than my weight before the horse show, still crossing my fingers for a bit of a drop before weigh in on friday but I would still take this weigh in.
Got to sleep in a hair today as I only had to be at work half an hour later than usual. I only worked till 1:15 then came back to my house to meet the carpet cleaners. I put my bird in his cage in the bathtub with a blanket over him, the shower curtain closed, the door closed, a towel under the door and opened all the windows and hoped that was enough to make sure he didn't get sick from the smell of the cleaners. He seems to not have had any negative reaction, though I was surprised at how unknowledgeable the carpet cleaner was about birds. He's been cleaning carpets for 10+ years so I can't imagine I'm the first bird owner he's had to deal with yet he didn't know that you couldn't use things like air fresheners and non stick pots and pans. He told me his products were safe for birds till I told him what could happen with even the simple use of hair spray. Anyways...
Amazingly, I think that they got all the pee stains out!! It's still wet so will get a better idea tomorrow but it looks pretty darn good! Which is amazing news because then I don't have to spend 2500+ dollars to install new carpets before I can list my place for sale!! SO relieved! My dog now comes with me into the bathroom when I have to go, and when I shower so he is never out of sight, and stays in the bathroom when I leave the house. Not having ANY more pee on the carpets! I think once I break the habit he will be ok again as he has never been a dog to pee in the house even when he was intact for 2 years, unless he simply could not hold it. Don't want pee in my new house either!
Not wanting to walk on the wet carpets as much as possible I went out and bought lights to replace the burnt out ones in my apartment so it's properly lit for potential buyers coming to see it. I forgot to check what wattage my chandelier lights have to be so will need to go out and buy one of those yet. Came back home and laid out my yoga mat on my tile floor so I could lay on it and browse the web on my phone to stay off the carpet.
I finally decided that today I would go back to yoga. Went to the 4:45 baptiste class. It was good, it reminded me what a good workout it is! I think I'm going to be more muscle sore tomorrow from yoga than I have been yet from weight lifting! I could tell I was stiffer to start but I think I stretched out a good bit. My balance in some poses wasn't as good as it used to be I think, though my tree pose was pretty still. This just confirms the idea I had yesterday about incorporating it in once a week.
Had 2 salads today! One for supper and one for snack in the evening!! But, now I am all out of salads :( I tried to look up salad recipes online but haven't found anything that seems appealing to me. Might have to stick with the prepackaged stuff for now.

Lunch: 1/2 Enchilada
Supper: Chicken with sweet and sour sauce, salad, breadsticks
Snacks: Salad, chocolate, reece's pieces
Total Cals: 1501

Mmm, my fav salad is:

Roast/pulled beef or minute steak (warm)
Haloumi (warm n crispy!)
Roasted capsicums
Lettuce/greens mix
Seeded mustard dressing

Yummmmmmmmm. Totally need to get around to making a salad again soon, it's getting cold here so I'm enjoying all the soups/stews/roasts :D

Yay for peefree carpets! I don´t know anything about birds except that I´m allergic so now I´m kind of curious to know what effect sprays and stuff have on them...
