& my head was spinning at the thought of the chemicals from the carpet cleaning. I am allergic to birds too (& cats & most chemical fragrances &...) All the best with putting your house on the market Mystic & good for you being back in the 140's xo Cate
 
Congrats on being back in the 140s! Also, kudos on going back to yoga. If only I could get myself back to zumba.
 
Thanks guys. The chemicals in non stick pans/air fresheners/hair spray/etc. cause the bird's lungs to fill with fluid and they will drown to death.

149.2 this morning. Happy to see another drop which puts me below the weight I was before the horse show. It could be just dehydration from hot yoga so crossing fingers for official weigh in day tomorrow.

I bought a coffee table and 2 side tables today! I haven't actually seen them in person yet as my sis in law picked them up as they were closer to her than me. I'm apparently making my whole living room grey! I'm hoping that if I make my TV cabinet creamish, and either my kitchen chairs or table cream that it will keep it from looking totally monotoned.
It's hard to tell if they are going to match yet due to the lighting differences between the 2 pics, but all 3 coffee tables were only 150 bucks so if they don't match I can refinish them in cream without worrying that I might ruin an expensive table. My sister in law is good at refinishing/distressing stuff and I'm sure she'd help.

No exercise today. No riding either as I got off work later than usual. After work I went and got the last light that I needed for my house, I also went a quick grocery shop to pick up more salads, haha. They only had 2 of the kind I know I like, but I did pick up some others to try. Came home and put all my furniture back now that most of my carpet is dry. It looks good I think, I don't think you can see any yellow. If I put my face right down to it it does smell, however I think that area is still a hair wet so that smell might dissipate once it's fully dry. I don't think you can smell it other than with your face right there anyways so hopefully it will be fine.
I just put my house up for sale on kijiji. Hoping I can sell it quick and for decent money!

Poor birdies, but now I´m going to use that as another reason why people should be careful what they do to the air. Have you been able to reintroduce your bird yet?

Greys tend to go well together and accessories will easily prevent monotony! I´m not much of a couch-person (never saw a couch I really liked, ever) but the tables are really nice.

My bird is good. Though he really wants to be out of his cage more, but I don't want him pooping on my clean carpets and such. Gonna have to work something out though cause I can't keep him caged up all the time.
I'm forcing my poor sister in law to go get another item of furniture for me tomorrow! All the good stuff is always in the north of the city (I'm in the deep south) or in a city just north of my city (where my brother's family lives). I feel really bad about it! Just so close together from the last time I made her pick up the coffee tables just a couple days ago! But I have been looking on kijiji for months now and never found anything I like, and all of a sudden there was something that suited my tastes really well for a semi decent price! Gonna have to make it up to her some how!

Work was really busy today. Didn't get to eat lunch till after 1:30. I brought one of the new kinds of packaged salads I bought and... ugh! What was the most frustrating part was that some bites were delicious! But there was some kind of lettuce/cabbage/something else in the salad that was just gross. Like, you wanted to just spit it out gross! So gross that it made you paranoid about taking another bite! I only ate maybe half of it then threw the rest out. Amazingly finished work on time. Came back home and sat on the toilet a while haha. Partially cause I still have my bird in there (the bathroom, not the toilet!) (I keep intending to have him out of the cage then to put the cage in my shower to clean it well so it looks nice for potential house buyers so that's why he's still in the bathroom) so I had him out in the bathroom and hung out with him a little.
I then headed to the gym. I only did my 5 min warm up and weights today.
Squats 80lbs
Overhead press 45 lbs
Deadlifts 80 lbs

I am pretty much maxed out on getting that bar over my head for the squats. In fact, one time trying to get it up almost turned into a fail. I don't think I would have injured myself, but may have broken the mirror I was in front of and wold have made a lot of noise as it fell. Instead I was able to bring it back down to my chest and relift it. What I have decided to do from here is to do one full set of squats at 80 pounds, then do another full set of squats in the smith rack so I can increase weight in the smith rack and feel like I'm getting somewhere yet still get my stabilizing muscles working a bit on the regular squats. I may be able to slowly raise my regular squat weight as my muscles strengthen and get used to lifting the weight up and over my head.
I should have done a bit of cardio after, but didn't have it in me today.
I feel absolutely terrible for only riding my horse 3 times since the show! I know it really doesn't bother my horse to sit in a field and eat, but I can't ask him to go to the horse show in 3-4 weeks and jump big fences for me if he is not fit! Tomorrow I WILL be riding!

Supper: Chicken with sweet and sour sauce, salad, breadsticks
Snacks: popcorn, chocolate

So much going on and still eating properly... great work! Glad your bird is doing well (pictures???), maybe he should wear a diaper until you move ;) Or fly above your head while you ride your horse, I´d like to see that :D

149 this morning (at 9:30)

Ok, so good parts and bad parts today.
First off the good part. Finally ran 10k today! My full run was 70 mins (which includes 2 min walk warmup and 5 min walk cooldown). I ran 63 mins straight at a speed of 6.0 for most of it and 6.2-6.3 for the last quarter of the run, plus a one min sprint at 8.0. Total distance was 6.78miles (which is actually NEARLY 11k as it came in at 10.91k. If I knew I was that close I would have kept going!). Total cal burn was 878 according to treadmill. I then had a bagel w/ PB around 1. I then went a bit of furniture shopping with my mom (for her furniture not mine) and I ended up not eating till 6:30 and with my 10k run this morning and only having a bagel I was just starved and we went some place really high cal. Ate every last scrap of my meal. After getting back to my mom's and starting to drive home I went and stopped at a frozen yogurt place for my evening snack. That's all I planned to have for the evening, but I ate about 2/3 of it and it was just really gross. I don't know why but ugh. Blech, waste of cals, and it left me unsatisfied as far as my evening snack goes cause I had wanted something tasty.
I came home and had 2 m&m's to try to satisfy it, but it didn't work. DOn't know if it's cause I had been so hungry/hadn't eaten enough all day or if it was just that I wanted something tasty, I almost held it at bay, but in the end gave in and had 4 servings of chocolate.
I now really only have 1311 cals left for tomorrow to stay under my weekly cals which is not likely as I'm going to a festival downtown tomorrow that will have a lot of food vendors and such, plus will be out all afternoon/early evening with my friend so supper will probably for sure be out, but I will get it my best shot to be as low cal as possible. I will also be doing a run tomorrow, though likely not as far (gotta let the chaffing heal from today's long run! Gonna need some of that antichaffing stuff for the long runs. Also have a lovely toe blister)

Lunch: Bagel w/ PB
Supper: Pulled pork sandwich, fries w/ dill dip, carrots w/ ranch dip
Snack: Frozen yogurt, LOTS of chocolate
Total Cals: 3089 :puke:
 
Great job on that run!! I've got quite the blister, too, after today's 10k. The chafing stayed away this time, thankfully. I slather Vaseline on myself and it helps with my issue (which is under the boobs).
 
Try "Body Glide". It comes either in a lotion or a stick like deodorant. It doesn't feel like much is there at first but when it gets wet it's slippery as heck. Prevents chaffing.


That's the smallest turkey I've ever seen. :D

Thanks guys. My mom has some of that body glide and likes it so I will probably try some of that.

149 this morning, again (at around 10am)

So first off, woke up and went for a run outside. And finally managed to do 5k in under 30 mins!! For some reason the first 2k were super easy and flew by. Km 3 and 4 were ok. At the end of the 4th km it said my time was 24:something. I was like, I gotta boogie this last km but I think I can make it. So I gave'r for the last km and came in underneath!!
The numbers are a little off because I can't separate out the last few seconds it takes me to get my phone out and turn off the app but the numbers it gives are
5.03km(3.13 miles), 29:56 time, 5:56 min/km (8.95 min/mile, between 6.5-7 treadmill speed), 448 cal burn.
The walk back was 1.15km (0.71miles) cal burn 69. 11:55 time.

I then showered and got ready to go with my friend to a festival downtown. Just vendors and food trucks and some live music. Quite a bit of walking as we took transit, then walked to where the festival was, then walked around the festival, then way up the street to a patio restaurant (the closer ones were all crammed full), then back down to the transit again. Probably a good 4-5kms at least.

We didn't spend much time at the festival because it was SO crammed with people. Half the time we were at a standstill and it was so frustrating getting stuck behind people going so slow and getting so in the way. Grr. At the restaurant they didn't have a ton of choices so I ended up with a burger and fries, I also was terrible and got a coke. Our waitress was horrible! We didn't even know who she was until the end of our meal because we had to keep bugging another waitress. The other waitress took our drink order, took out food order, brought us refills, etc. I wanted to tip the other waitress but of course my tip would go to 'our' waitress so I left only 5%.
My friend told me some terrible news. She just broke it off with her fiance 2 months ago, and is already in another BAD relationship!! This guys tried to start a relationship with her last time she was thinking of leaving her fiance, and the guy was in a relationship with his daughter's mother!! I imagine he only broke it off with his daughter's mother when my friend told him she was single! Grr!! I wanted to shake her so bad!! The only thing I could really say was to go super slow! She hasn't even told her parents yet. I hope they can talk some sense into her! Ahh! She's going to need a roommate to afford the townhouse she just bought and I'm willing to bet top dollar that in short order it's going to be this guy!!
Afterwards we went back and I got to see her new place (she actually doesn't close till tomorrow) It's nice. Definitely older but most of it's been redone.

Since I have been overeating this weekend when I got home I changed and hopped onto the treadmill for a slow easy run.
45 mins including 2 min walk warmup 5 min cooldown, ran the rest in one go. 3.81 miles (6.13km). Speed of 5.3 with 1 min sprint at 8.0. Cal burn of 491 according to treadmill.

Total distance ran today was 7.65miles (12.31km) and total cal burn of 1008.

Had a salad for supper. Was meh tasting. Nothing yet equals that other packaged salad I usually get. Trying super hard to not eat anything else today.

Snack: Peanut butter bar
Lunch: Burger, fries, coke
Supper: Salad
Total Cals: 2084

Over weekly cal goal by 772.
 
Your Tiny Turkey is sooo cute! And your running work for this weekend is impressive, especially considering the chafing/blister. Be sure to give your body rest when it needs it though! I´m sorry to hear about your friend, it is frustrating when someone you like loses their head like that. On the other hand: you can never predict what will work for people, so maybe it won´t be as bad as you now think.
 
Your running is incredibly inspiring. Go you! Great news on the weight loss too. You're doing so well.
I can't wait to weigh 149 some day.

149.4 this morning. I keep praying for a big random drop, but I'll have to keep hoping.

Not a crazy day at work today but I stayed around afterwards a bit working on a printed ad for my house and looking online at chandelier lights. After work I drove to Staples to pick up my flyers (my work printer only prints black and white and I wanted it in color) then drove to a few grocery stores to put them up. Unfortunately only one grocery chain has bulletin boards anymore which sucks a bit. I then went to the barn and rode my horse. First time in like a week and a bit I think! Took a different route back home so I could stop at some other grocery stores and put up the ad. I also picked up a few groceries. I really wanted those soft breadsticks I bought the last time but they did not have any. :(
Came home, was starving! Made supper.
Didn't do any exercise today. Felt I deserved the day off after 4 straight days last week and the two workouts yesterday.

148.6 this morning. Nice to see a little movement on the scales, though it's not much.

Had poo sprayed all up my arms today by a dog while I was blowdrying. Always fun. I ordered the new blowdryer I wanted after our good dryer broke a couple weeks ago, but it's not gonna ship till June 22! Arg, that's a long time to go without the good dryer! Had a guy come in for his large dog's appointment. Asked when the dog would be done and I told him the usual 3-4 hours (we don't do dogs straight through at my shop, especially big dogs as it helps prevent them from getting at all over heated as we can let them drip dry so we don't spend an extra half hour with the blowdryer on them plus it allows us more flexibility to get things done the best way possible). He was like, oh but I need to be at the airport at 1 so I need to pick up the dog by 12. That was about an hour and a half away! For a large dog in a difficult haircut while I had other dogs I needed to get done within that time! He was understanding that it oculdn't be done and rescheduled.
I felt quite tired after work despite the easier day. Felt tired all the way to the barn, at the barn, back home again.
After work I went to the barn and lunged my horse. I filled out the paperwork to have him put up for sale, still not 100% sure of that decision but I think it's a smart one.
Came back home. Still feeling really tired but pushed myself to the gym. Did 5 min warm up on the treadmill, then weights.
Squats 85lbs (definitely the max I can get up and onto my back, which means I will have to add in the smithrack to continue adding weight)
Bench Press 50lbs
Bentover bar bell 50lbs
Lots of cute boys at the gym today ;) That's why I want to get a membership to a co-ed gym, not spalady when I need to get a gym membership!
Back on the treadmill afterwards for 35mins .It felt really hard. Speed was 6.0, but did have to take a 1 min walk break in the middle. Did do my one min sprint mostly at 8.3. 5 min walk cool down.

Yay for cute guys at the gym! In mine most aren´t in my age bracket. Could be because the meatheads - who are usually youngish - come in every day and therefore seem more plentiful.
 
Alright, I have to ask, what is a pizza pretzel? Does it have pepperoni on it? Because if so, I want it.
 
Hi Mystic, Cute boys at the gym are definitely a good incentive. I say this in theory only, of course as a) I don't go to a gym (have only ever done so once) & b) if I did I would be way too embarrassed to exercise in front of any cute men (or women).
You seem to be going through a transitional time of your life & making big decisions. I'm so sick of the excessive use of the expression "moving forward", but in your case Mystic it is appropriate. You are making such positive changes to your life & I think it's great, xo Cate
 
Haha my gym is so dead I'm lucky to see ANYONE around while I'm there (unless I'm doing a class). In my PT session yesterday I actually commented on how the gym was the busiest I'd seen it... there was about 5 people in the whole gym. Don't have to fight people for weights/equipment though!!

Your bird is incredibly cute by the way!
