Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

I suppose it is, but it seems less of a loss when you know it will come back with rehydrating and eating.

Today at the show it was cooler thank goodness! Still warm, but cooler than yesterday. Again it was go go go all day, I virtually didn't even have time to eat! I had some watermelon and half of one of my containers of grapes during the day. I thought I would have more time between a couple things I had going on and could have actually felt like eating my sandwich, but I ended up not having any time.
My first class went better, my second class wasn't as good but better than yesterday. I get people to video my rounds so I can watch them and learn from them but I haven't had any time at all to look at them.
After I was done for the day I had to race off to close on the house I'm purchasing before they closed (eating the other half of my grape container as I drove. Next year around this time I should be moving into my new place.

So obviously again, I'm not trying to eat so little. I know it's not good, especially when I'm working so hard, but sometimes life happens. Keeping busy helps in not being tempted to go to the restaurant there and buy things, but it also sometimes prevents me from eating when I should. I am still happy with how I'm doing though because there have been a few easy access temptations (cupcakes, chips) that I have passed up. I might treat myself on sat or sun to a meal at the restaurant or something (if I have the time) but it would just be the one day.
Tomorrow is official weigh in day. I ate quite late this evening so not sure how the scale will be affected.

Great job on the dropped pounds. Obviously long term you'll have to eat more than that, but you know that and as long as it doesn't become a regular thing you should be fine.
 
Today was another bad day at the show. Eliminated from both my classes. Even though he's appeared 'sound' (not sore while moving) my trainer said she thought he must be sore as it isn't like him to stop 'dirty' (at the last minute with no warning) like that. Then later this evening we noticed that he had a 'fat' lower leg on the leg he got caught up in the fence before the show, so he may have injured it more than we thought and that's why he isn't wanting to jump. Will have the vet look at it tomorrow I think.
I wasn't quite as busy today with running back and forth but still got more steps than 'needed' to make my goal on fitbit. I had to stay and do 'night check' where you feed, water, check the horses before you leave for the night but had time in between to go grab some Edo Japan. I had had a sandwich along, which I ate half of at lunch, but the pita was really old already so wasn't too appetizing. Also on my way home from the show I picked up a smoothie from Tim Hortons. I still finished under my 1700 cal goal so I'm ok with that.
I left my cooler at the show though so I won't be able to fill and freeze my water bottles, or freeze my ice pack for keeping my food cold. there is a small fridge in one of the tack stalls that I may be able to fit a few things into, but I'll have to limit myself more than I would like as I don't think there is all that much space.

So we believe my horse has sore hocks (jumping horses often need a bit of help maintenance wise as they get older, so we'll have to do something to help him not be sore there) or possibly a high suspensory ligament injury (which would be devastating. can take a year to heal, may need surgery and is never as strong as it once was and is likely to reinjure and will really hurt his resale value. Hoping it's just sore hocks but thankful that I know why he was stopping and that it likely is not behavioural.

Today I apparently did a TON of walking, no riding since my horse is uncomfy.
I only was able to leave there at 8:00 and was really hungry so I decided today would be a cheat meal day. I went to Swiss Chalet and got the quarter chicken meal, and perogies. It definitely put me over my 1700 cals but I'm not too sorry, though I know the water weight will show on the scale tomorrow!

Finished off at the horse show and brought my horse home. Had a BBQ this evening at a friends. Tried to be a bit aware of calories but was still over by a bit. Though I have like 1200 cals under my cal goal for the week still so not too concerned.

Good news is, my computer cord is back up and running!
Bad news is, I had a bad eating, did nothing kind of day today.
I ate way too much, and did almost no steps compared to what I should have. It's not a big deal if it's just one day, especially since last week was so busy, but once I get 'off track' it's hard to get back on. Especially if I'm not riding for a while , since my horse is sore, it leaves more time to get bored and want to eat. I better make sure I'm at least getting my steps in.

Today was a much better day than yesterday.
I stayed nicely in my lower weekday calories, I got my steps, miles, and stairs in.
I had a new groomer start today. She said she could do 6 dogs but only finished 5 in 8 and a half hours (and 4 were SUPER easy, and the other was easy) so I'm not sure. Tomorrow she ended up with 5 again but like 3 big dogs, so I figure that it's gonna take a WHILE, and I have a vet appointment for my horse at 3:30 or 4 that I need to get to! I may have to pick up some slack on her dogs to make sure things get done. I still need to teach her a bit and check over her dogs otherwise I could just leave her there with my mom to run the front. Hoping it all works out.
Spent 55 mins on the treadmill (almost wrote dreadmill by accident, how fitting would THAT have been!). I walked for 7 mins, then ran 7 min run/1 min walk till 38 mins, then walked the rest as I knew I would make my step/mile goal. I then had to go up and down the stairs twice to make my stair count.
I bought some delicious popcorn, it's orville, but pre-popped and it's got chipolte and cheddar seasoning. It's quite yummy and only 260 cals for FOUR cups! It's a big bag but I'm virtually out and only bought it yesterday(part of the reason I went over cals, I had two quesidillas, at 620 cals each, and then 2 servings of popcorn). I think I'll buy some more.
I've also been loading up on watermelon. yum yum.

Ugh, another not great day. Stressed about work, had to race off to meet the vet for my horse (though thankfully it seems like good news on that front), and it's pouring rain.
All combined to make me feel really crappy and wanting to have some comfort food and relax. Didn't get my steps or anything either.
I think it didn't help that I just had a salad for lunch, I felt really quite hungry by the time I was done at the barn and heading home.

Yea Mystic, you're doing really well. Just keep trucking, you've had an amazing start and a few bad days along the way are going to happen. And hey, you had a drop so that's awesome!

Sorry you're stressed about work, that sucks. Hang in there!
 
Thanks guys. I don't know if you could call it a 'drop' but I'm back 'down' (lost the water weight) to my last official weigh in weight.

First off, I ate great despite going to my mom's house for supper! Though I had to guesstimate on the amounts and such I think I was fairly generous and accurate with them (once I saw my 'total' for the day I actually bumped the amounts up more than I thought I had had just to be safe). I was surprised but I wasn't hardly even hungry at supper. I had had some grapes after work, maybe that just squashed my appetite a bit. I did feel quite hungry a couple hours after supper, but then my brother decided to torture me and make me do this insane workout on the hill by my mom's house (my mom also did the workout).
We first walked to the hill to warm up, walked up the hill once to scout out what my brother wanted us to do, then back down and started our workout. We did 10 burpees, ran over to some big boulders and ran across a couple, then to the hill. Near the bottom of the hill he had one of those workout 'ladders' that we did single steps through, then continued all the way to the top of the hill, jump onto and off of a bench, did 10 pushups, jumped on and off the bench again then back down the hill to the start. We then did 8 burpees, then ran the same course up to the bench, did the 8 push ups, then the bench and back down. We repeated it with 6 burpees/push ups, then 4 then 2.
We then took a 5 min break and pretty much repeated the whole thing again, only this time we did 2, then 4, then 6, 8, 10. We also did a zigzag type pattern through each ladder 'rung'. THe last 2 times up the hill I'm fairly certain my heart exploded, like, both times.
I then still needed to get in 2500 steps to make 10,000 so we went on a bit of a walk through the community. My stair count is insane due to the hill!

I may weigh more at my official weigh in tomorrow due to water weight in the muscles but It wasn't a horrible week, just a couple days where I over ate above my calorie burn. Not a great week, but a decent one.
