Thanks guys. No he can't be ignored.
I love the heat, but I can certainly understand not wanting it everyday. It can be tough to exercise in for sure!

144.8 this morning (at 9:30)
No work today. Stayed in bed till around 10:45 (except to get up to pee/measure/weigh) then got up and headed out for a run.
Another 5k under 30 mins. 29:10 to be exact.
Distance 3.14 miles
Cal Burn: 447
Pace: 5:50 min/km
With 7 min cool down of 0.86km (0.54miles), 60 cal burn

Afterwards I had my soup for lunch then headed to the barn. Had a decent ride on my horse, my horse show is next week.
Came home, had a shower, had some yogurt and relaxed for a short bit before going to a Canada Day thing ith my mom, brother and his family. It was at the beach of me and my mom's new lake community. THey had free hot dogs but I really wanted to eat my own food at home, however it was awkwardly timed as it was from 5-7pm so right over supper time. I decided to eat afterwards. Went and hung out with the family and had an ok time, but didn't end up leaving till at least 7:20 and I was SO hungry! I almost stopped and picked something up, but convinced myself not to.
Got home and tried a new pork recipe. It turned out quite good.

SO I took measurements today. I took them last on June 15 (weight 147). I saw some losses however I always take these measurements with a grain of salt as having the measuring tape a cm high or low can drastically change what it says.

June 15 July 1 Loss
Arm 11" 10.5" -0.5"
Chest 35.5" 35" -0.5"
Waist 31" 31" -0-
Belly 34.5" 33" -1.5"
Hips 38.5" 37.75" -0.75"
Thigh 24" 24" -0-
Calf 14.75" 14.75" -0-

And took pics

Wow, the pictures tell the story pretty clear. You've made amazing progress!!! You should be very proud and feel good about being able to accomplish your goals. It's nothing short of a great success!!! You look great!!!

You are doing awesome! Have you tried high intensity interval training for the cardio portion of your workouts?

Thanks guys. I don't do a lot of HIIT stuff as I need more distance work due to training for the Tough Mudder in September.

A surprising 144 this morning. I thought yesterday's weigh in was low because it was a later weigh in than usual, but then to drop another 0.8 pounds this morning was a great thing to see.

Had a cancellation at work but still didn't get off till 4. I DID get my new running skirts! More on that later. Headed to the barn to ride then stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things.
I only got home at 6:30 and was just feeling like eating and relaxing. I tried on my running skirts however. The pink skirt was SUPER cute! Loved it!! The other skirt and matching bra were 'meh' so I think I'm going to exchange them for different ones.
I ate super, relaxed, had my snacks, but that cute running skirt was calling my name so at about 9:30 I got changed and headed out for a run. Just a nice, easy 5k run... which ended up as a hilly, rugged 8k run! Haha. I ran a route that ended up leading me to a provincial park, but if I was only gonna do 5k then I would pretty much had had to turn around right then as I was just hitting 3k (running 3k out and 2k back with 1k walk). So I decided I would do an 8k, 4k out and 4k back. I ran out of paved walkways a bit and ended up in some kind of rugged trail where I was batting branches out of my face, duck under and jumping over branches too. It didn't last too long but it was a bit tough. And the hill back up to the sidewalk/road was very steep!
My running skirt performed well. This was the one with briefs instead of shorts, so I did put bodyglide on. I think the skirt stayed in place well except for one part where it rode up a bit, but I think that's because I have a tendency to hike my clothes up too far to cover my gut. SO I have to remember to not yank them up so far. The whole way back they seemed to stay put. The pair I'm going to exchange for will be the shorts kind so I can see how that works out. I didn't walk on my run except to take 2 pics of the evening sky (sunset over river, big orange moon)
Time: 51:21
Distance: 8.02km (4.98miles)
Pace: 6:24 mins/km
Cal Burn: 724

Great skirt Mystic. Well done on the big run. You must feel very safe where you live- that's good! Cheers, Cate

Thanks guys.
Official weigh in day. Not a bad weigh in. And I just realized that I made my second mini goal on time! I'm gonna set a new mini goal for just before my Tough Mudder.

Starting weight: 183.5
Current Weight: 144 (-1.2)
First Mini Goal Weight: 160 by March 27 *Accomplished March 20th*
Second Mini Goal Weight: 144 by July 3 *Accomplished July 3rd*
Third Mini Goal Weight: 133 by September 4
Final Goal Weigh: 125

After work I went to the gym. 5 mins warm up before weights.
Squats 90 lbs
Overhead Press 50 lbs
Deadlift 100 lbs

I video'd myself doing the deadlifts then looked at youtube videos showing correct form and have some adjustments I can make I think.
I didn't feel like doing cardio, so instead I walked down to the vietnamese restaurant for supper with my dog. 2k there, 2k back. Cal burn around 313.

Lunch: Broccoli Soup
Supper: Vietnamese
Snack: Salad w/ breadstick, yogurt w/ raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1447

145 this morning.

Whoops! I did fine all day on my eating until 11pm! I then had a chocolate and peanut butter binge! Probably 500 cals worth.

Day started out with going to meet my friend at a big international horse show jumping competition to watch at 8:45am. I brought along a water bottle of water and a granola bar and planned to have the perogies we always have there.
Stayed till about 1 then went to the barn to ride. Had a bad ride, me and my horse almost slid and flipped when he stopped at a jump but had so much momentum and on the slippery grass his hind end kept going, his front end came up and he pretty much ended up sitting. I pretty much ended up yanking myself forward with the reins, then hugging his neck but he still couldn't right himself, so to save myself I leapt off and prayed I landed on my feet and didn't get trampled! All this happened in probably half a second! It was scary and totally hurt his (and my) confidence, I had to put the jumps way down to get him comfortable enough with them and could not raise them back up as high as they were which is really shitty considering my horse show starts next wednesday, so having damaged our confidence I don't have high hopes. :( Grr.

Snack: Peanut butter granola bar
Lunch: Cheese/potato perogies
Supper: Pizza pretzel, salad, breadsticks
Snack: Salad, yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Binge: Chocolate, peanut butter
Total Cals: 2511

I have about 1900 cals for tomorrow, but I'm going to the stampede so it will be tough to stay under cals. I am only going to have water, not pop, probably have a slice of pizza for food, maybe mini donuts, but that's all I plan to eat there. I will also bring 2 peanut granola bars. If I eat those things that's about 1500 cals so I would have 400 left. Hmm... maybe I will try to have 5 mini donuts instead of 10 which would make my total only 1234 which would mean I would have around 650. It may depend on what time I get home at. If It looks like I will be home at 6 I would try to leave myself with enough cals for a supper, but if I'm only getting home around 8 or 9 then maybe just a small snack. Will have to see how the day goes.
I plan to do weights and cardio in the morning which would be my 5th workout for the week. If I get home early I may try to do another bit of cardio. Would have been so much easier with more cals!

145.4 this morning.

Ugh. Bad eating day today. And I'm feeling awful cause of it.
Started out the day at the gym at 9am. Did weights then running.
Squats 100lbs
Bench Press 55lbs (been having some joint pain in my right elbow for some reason)
Barbell Row 55lbs

Running (5k in 30 mins, 5 min warmup before weights, and 5 min cooldown)
Total Distance: 3.87 miles (6.23km)
Cal Burn: 491

I started an Instagram fitness account for pics and videos from my workouts and progess and stuff. FitPris21 if you have instagram and want to follow haha.

Then showered and got ready for Stampede. Brought a couple granola bars with me. Had one on my way there, then had lunch right when we got there. Had a hot dog and pulled pork poutine, with a water. Walked around the park for a bit, flirted with the military guys that were there, then did a couple rides. Got a frozen lemonade, then had mini donuts (9). We went on another ride then had supper (big slice of pizza). Left for home after that. Got home and continued to eat poorly! Had a pizza pretzel, chocolate, salad and breadsticks, and lots more chocolate. I only stopped when I felt like I was going to vomit. Ugh. I then fell asleep on the floor for an hour and a half and feel totally groggy and awful and know that I probably will have a hard time sleeping.
It's not really a huge deal (other than how insanely crappy I feel). If I average out how much I ate this week I only ate 2000 cals a day which is still probably a bit of a deficit, but I know next week is going to be very tough to stay on track due to the horse show. I always have a hard time at shows. I plan to bring my foods with me, and also to bring my running clothes with me in case I have spare time at the show. I also plan to at least do either 3 days weight lifting or 2 days lifting and 1 day yoga. I don't think many of my trainer's other students will be showing so that will limit temptations. There likely won't be anyone bringing donuts or cookies or the like.

I already listed all my foods so I will just put the total cals: 3924

146.6 this morning.

Busy day today. Full day of work then headed to the barn to prepare for the show. Got to the barn and clipped my horse's legs, ears, bridle path. I then braided his mane over to 'train' it to stay on the right side of his neck so it will look pretty for the show. Tacked him up and rode him. Mostly flatwork today, not jumping, and he was pretty good. Cleaned all my tack and got most everything packed up for the show. The farrier came and did my horse's feet. By the time I left the barn it was after 8 and I hadn't eaten anything all day except my soup for lunch. I stopped at the frozen yogurt place and got one of those to tide me over till I got home. Only ate supper around 8:45 or so. Unfortunately since I got home so late, and ate so late I didn't get my exercise in which means I have to do it during most days of the show.
I should have grocery shopped too but I didn't.

Lunch: Broccoli Soup
Snack: Frozen Yogurt
Supper: Pizza pretzel, salad, breadsticks
Total Cals: 1351

I want to eat 1400 cals tomorrow, then eat 1700 most days of the show, then maybe on the weekend eat a little more, but still staying under my weekly cals.

Good luck at the show! I have no idea what that all entails or what you mean by "show"...I assume a horse show....but I've been wrong before lol! It sounds like your in for some fun (I hope).

Your horse must love all of the attention Mystic. When you move how far is it from where your horse is stabled now? Will you sell the horse beforehand? Your days are so busy! I can only imagine, but is your current place, your new place & your business and where your horse is stabled all fairly close together? I'm not sure why I am so curious about it now, but that's how my brain works sometimes! xo Cate

Thanks guys.
My current house is 6 mins from my work. My new house is about 15 mins (non rush hour traffic) to work (and my old house). My barn is 10 ish minutes from my new house and 20ish from my old house. It's all very close.

146 this morning.
Another busy day. Worked till 12:45 or so then went to the feed store to get shavings for in the stall at the horse show, and some feed.
Went to the barn and finished up packing for the show, then loaded my horse and stuff and traveled to the show.(only a 10 min drive) Got there and unpacked and unloaded my horse. Got stuff set up, went to the office (got the late fee taken off!), then tacked up my horse and gave him a ride, untacked him and gave him a bath so he's actually clean for the show.
Left there at 5:30 and went grocery shopping for stuff for the show. Got home and cut up the watermelon I got. I then debated back and forth on if I was going to be able to get myself to do a workout. But it was already 6:30 and I hadn't had supper and I had to go back to the show around 8-9 to do night check (give hay, fill waters, walk him) for my horse.
So I made supper and ate it while watching a TV show. It was an hour show so by the time I finished I decided I had had enough time to digest and I NEEDED to go exercise!
I BLEW my last 5km time out of the water!! My last fastest 5km was 29:10, today's 5km was 27:52!!
Every Km I ran, was faster than the previous one! I started out feeling like I was hardly moving, just plodding along! THen when my app told me I had run my first km in 6:02 I decided I would give it a good go!
Total Distance (including walk cooldown): 5.70km (3.54miles)
Total Cal Burn: 488
Running Pace: 5:34mins/km

Got home, showered, then headed to the barn to check on my pony.

Lunch: Broccoli Soup
Supper: Honey Pork, salad, breadsticks
Snacks: Yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1398

I have my cals worked out for tomorrow. Wow it's fast how quickly you can blast through 1700 cals. I'm bringing a bit more food with me to my show than I normally would have for lunch, and that just takes away all my evening cals! Will see how much I 'need' to eat during the day.

Congratulations on the new 5k-record! I hope you have some fun on the show and get loads of people interested in giving you money and your horse a wonderful new home.

Awesome run!!! It's amazing how some days you feel like you're trying so hard and not getting any speed going and other days you feel like you're just cruising and you're going really fast. I'll never understand the difference in those days, but I've noticed for me with biking it seems to revolve around how much sleep I got.

Thanks guys.
144.6 this morning.
Got to the show at 8am this morning to feed my horse. Had to quickly wash his face in the morning as he had used his poo as a pillow. I decided that I would NOT eat till after I was done showing (after 1), since otherwise I wouldn't be eating due to hunger (I rarely eat anything before lunch ever) it would just be something to do while I waited to go.
Unfortunately our showing didn't go well. Our crash from Saturday really shattered my horse's confidence and he just was not game to jump anything he was worried about. We ended up taking him to the smaller jumper ring and doing the itty bitty stuff to give him some confidence.
This means that tomorrow we will again be doing really small stuff instead of the big stuff I wanted to do. Sigh.
After my rounds I went to the pub at the horse show to have supper with my mom, but I brought my own food.
I cleaned my tack and put everything away, I didn't want to leave yet as I needed to wait so I could feed and water my horse a little later in the day. So I changed into my running clothes and went for a run! It was sweltering out, 30*C! I only went 4km but I was totally fine with that. A) because I nearly died in the heat especially the last km and B) exercising this week isn't so much about the distance or the difficulty, it's simply about DOING it.
Time was a little under 25:00, cal burn of 359, pace of 6:04min/km

I fed and watered my horse then headed home, and IMMEDIATELY went to the gym and did my weight training! Go me!
Squats 105lbs
Overhead press 55lbs (these are difficult!)
Deadlift 110lbs

I also stayed under my calories for the day(turned down chinese food!)! So really happy with myself! I have such a hard time staying on track at horse shows so I'm really happy.

Lunch: Sandwich, watermelon
Supper: Salad, pizza pretzel, bread with honey (forgot I ran out of breadsticks yesterday!)
Snacks: Yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1700
