Wow, it takes commitment to go for a run in that kind of weather. Sorry to hear your horse wasn´t feeling it :(

Thanks.
143.8 this morning.
Another not great day showing wise today. Got there at 7:30 this morning to feed him before tacking him up and having him at the ring at 8:20. The classes today were derby classes, which means that it's spookier than normal courses, and since my horse (who is generally not spooky) is scared out of his whits from our crash on Saturday so is being extra spooky I knew it had a possibility of not going well. What surprised me was some of his spooks being at jumps he would generally not have even thought to look at funny. We got over 11/19 jumps the first course, and only 5/19 jumps the second course. $300 down the drain for that!
We then went a did a little schooling stuff in the smaller ring just to try to give him confidence. Tomorrow I signed up for the itty bitty classes. Gonna have to work him back up slowly, but it will take a couple months I would guess, specially since he's a bit of a stopper as it is if I'm not perfect even when he is as confident as ever.

Didn't eat till after my classes. Was looking forward to my nice cold salad and watermelon... till I realized I had forgotten to put my icepack in the cooler! So I had lukewarm salad and watermelon. Much less satisfying in 30* weather than if it had been cold!
I couldnt run at the horse show, not in that heat, so I waited around as long as I could (I don't have anyone to really watch since none of my other 'barn mates' are there, plus it's too hot to be out in the sun!), filled up his water buckets, gave him lots of hay, and his grain then headed home.
Immediately changed and headed to the gym (oddly enough I haven't really felt tired this show like normal, maybe cause I'm forcing myself to have energy to exercise or something, maybe just cause I'm not staying around there for quite as long each day, dunno). Ran an easy 5k in about 35 mins.
Total Time (including warm up and cool down): 40 mins
Total Distace: 3.43miles (5.52km)
Cal Burn: 429

Went back in the evening to care for my horse again.

Lunch: Salad, Watermelon
Supper: Salad, Pizza pretzel, breadsticks
Snacks: Yogurt with raspberries, popcorn, chocolate
Total Cals: 1700

Tomorrow I don't show till the afternoon so I plan to get to the barn at 8am to feed and water him, then I'll either go for a run there, or depending on what my timing is look like I might head home and do weights and running at the gym before heading back to the show.

Thanks guys. It's rare a non-makeup photo of me looks good, but there was great lighting in the evening.

Decent day today. Went to the show and 8am to feed my horse. As soon as I fed him I went for what was initially gonna be a 5k run, though it turned into a 6k run just cause I could.

Cal Burn: 539
Average Pace: 6:09mins/km

Pic from my run, so many baby ducks and geese!

I did some more caring for my horse including bathing off his poo stains. I then headed home to do my weight training.
Squats 110lbs (back up to the weight I was at before I hurt myself)
Bench Press 60lbs
Barbell Row 60lbs

I got to hang out at my house for about an hour before heading back to the barn. Cared for my horse a bit then my mom came and we had lunch together (we both brought our own lunches instead of buying food).
Got my horse ready to show. We were only doing two 1.0m (3'3) height classes (we normally show around 1.15m (3'9) to 1.20m (4') so quite small for us), but we were working on building his confidence back up. Well when he felt good at the start of my course I decided to go for the win. We ended up placing 2nd in both classes (one class had 15 people, and the other had 20). Only made me 50 bucks total (which wouldn't even pay for the classes!). My horse felt good and it was lots of fun to be out there and going for the win!
Sprayed him off afterwards to cool him down, finished taking care of him then headed home again for a bit. Headed back out in the evening to care for him again.
Tomorrow he doesn't show as he's getting a day off to rest, then we will show again on sunday. I was hoping to go to the beach in between caring for my horse, but the weather is supposed to turn a bit and have thunderstorms tomorrow and sunday but I hope they hold off.

Lunch: Sandwich, watermelon
Snack: Nectarine
Supper: Salad, pizza pretzel, breadsticks
Snacks: Yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1697

wow you and your horse are busy. I am really enjoying these posts about this show. Hope the weather is great for you tomorrow and congrats on 40 lbs lost!! What a success!!

I'm not a big fan of makeup Mystic I must admit & I thought you looked lovely. Another gorgeous pic of the ducks on your run!

Thanks guys.

143 this morning.
Bad eating day today. Had a lot of spare time as I didn't horse show today. I did have to go to the show 4 times to feed/water/walk my horse. I also gave him a light ride in the morning. I did NOT feel like working out this morning, I then thought I would do it after I went to check on my horse around lunch, but then went to my mom's house instead. After my check on my horse at 2:30 I went back to my house and... just started eating. I started out re-working my cals so I could have a snack, but then I just had a 'screw it' and started eating and not caring about cals. I had probably a good 6 servings of chocolate, 2 pizza pretzels, popcorn, plus salad and breadsticks. I felt AWFUL.
I decided when I went to check on my horse at 8 I would wear my workout clothes and go for a run, unfortunately it was thundering and lightening, and at times pouring rain so I decided that probably wouldn't be a good idea so I determined I would go run on the treadmill at my condo as soon as I was done at the show.
I got home and went straight to run. I got off the elevator and there were 2 guys in the lobby of my building. We ended up walking almost side by side in the same direction. One of the guys went 'oh so this is where the gym is' (to his friend), then looked at me and was like 'oh, you're on the way to the gym, that's why you are dressed in workout clothes' I said 'yes, otherwise it would look pretty weird' he said 'guys don't mind, trust me'. It felt pretty good to be complimented considering I had no makeup on, my hair was a mess, and I wasn't even wearing my most attractive workout gear. :)
Anyways. I decided that I wanted to burn at least 500 cals. I started running, and didn't even take any walk breaks and felt good about it (except for the horrible side stitch). I even increased my pace at about the 20 min mark. (I watched Collateral as I ran)
Time: 45 mins (including walk warm up and cooldown)
Total Distance: 4.43 miles (7.13km)
Total Cal Burn: 563
Speed: 6.0 then 6.5. 1 min Sprint at 8.5-9.0
I feel half like puking, eating all that crap, then having it bounce around in my stomach while I run, plus getting warm while running.
Tomorrow I plan to do another workout to help make up for my over eating today. Weights and cardio, though I still am gonna try to keep under my weekly cals still.
I have a class at the show tomorrow. If I can place in it it will give me decent money, so crossing fingers.

Lunch: Sandwich, watermelon
Snacks: Chocolate, chocolate, more chocolate, popcorn
Supper: 2 pizza pretzels, salad, breadsticks
Total Cals: 2799

I really need to go to bed as it's almost midnight and I will have to be up at 7:30am tomorrow for the show, but I know if I lie down the 'desire' to vomit will increase. :( Trying to wait it out.

The feeling after one of those binges should be reason enough not to do it again. Should be! I don't know any perfect people Mystic. You might have a bit more incentive to work out if those 2 guys start working out too. Sweet on the compliment :) xoC

SO impressed you ran for 45 minutes with a crazy bouncy stomach! And feeling slightly guilty because I didn´t...

Thanks guys. It mostly passed around midnight so I was able to head to bed then.

144.4 this morning.

Last day of showing today. My horse was good and confident but unfortunately we knocked 2 rails down which meant we didn't place. Packed up and headed back to his home barn. I'm sure he was happy to be out to pasture again.
Got home around 1 and changed and headed to the gym (had some watermelon before going). Did 5 mins warm up on the treadmill then did weights.
Squats 115lbs
Overhead Press 60lbs (pretty much maxed out here. I don't really feel it in my muscles, they don't hurt or burn trying to get the weight up, I just simply don't have the strength to get it up)
Deadlift 120lbs

I then did a 40 min run. Phew.
Total Distance (including warm up before weights and cooldown): 4.44miles (7.15km)
Cal Burn: 565
Speed: 6.0-6.5 with 1 min sprint at 9.0

Had my broccoli soup for lunch.
I met my mom and her friend for supper at a restaurant. I passed on the bread, had tomato soup as my starter (it comes with soup or salad), I also put half my actual meal into a 'to go' container right away to make sure I only ate half of it.
Made jello as one of my snacks for today.
I really really wanted to stay under my weekly cals since I went over cals last week. So I was really careful today and managed to do it! Plus I got in that extra workout yesterday so I came out ahead!

Lunch: Watermelon, Broccoli Soup
Supper: Tomato soup, Spicy sausage penne
Snacks: Jello, yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1259

Great work Mystic! Getting right back in the race after falling down is the best thing anyone can do (and I find it very hard so I´m extra impressed).

Thank you :)

144.6 this morning. Was surprised to see it go up this morning after a low cal day and exercise yesterday, but it's prob left over from the day before and maybe some water weight from weight lifting.

Full day of work today.
Took the day off riding (to give my pony a break after the show), and exercising (since I did 6 days in a row). I did do a quick grocery shop. Got home and cut up the watermelon I bought. Not the best one but decent.
Just relaxed all evening. That's about the only thing I can say about today. Haha, pretty boring.

Lunch: Broccoli Soup
Supper: Other Half of my restaurant meal, salad, breadstick
Snack: Salad, yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1445

0.2lbs is such a small amount I wouldn´t even think about reasons if I weighed every day. Bodies do so many things without telling the brain! Good job taking a rest now and then, and relaxing even if you think it boring ;)

I know 0.2 pounds isn't really up, but that's up 1.6 pounds up from friday. I was expecting to see it starting to come down from the water weight gains of my bad eating day, not going up.

144.4 this morning. Phew that scale needs to drop before friday!

Full day of work today. Wasn't expecting it to take as long as it did.
After work I went right to the gym for a workout. Did 5 mins on treadmill to warm up before weights
Squats 120lbs
Bench Press 65lbs
Barbell Row 65lbs

Then did 35 mins on the treadmill (5 of that cooldown). Nice and easy pace with a 1 min walk break in the middle.
Total Distance (including warm up before weights): 3.65 miles (5.87km)
Cal Burn: 460
Speed: 5.8, 1 min at 7.5
I used the foam roller at my gym on my calves because they have been SO tight lately. I wasn't sure how long to do it for, it definitely hurt! I think they feel tighter after than they did before, but maybe they will feel better tomorrow.

I ended up signing up for a 5km mud obstacle course on Saturday this week! I thought it would be a good precursor to my half marathon length tough mudder in Sept. All by myself since my friends all suck. It will be interesting to see how my first organized 'run' goes.

Lunch: Spicy Chicken Soup
Supper: Pita Sandwich, Salad, breadstick
Snack: Salad, yogurt with raspberries, chocolate
Total Cals: 1446
