Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

Sounds like things haven't been too bad even if they haven't been great. Still well under 160 which is great.

I haven't been around much myself, so I'm gonna try and drop in more often.

And poutine? On a weight loss forum the mere mention of that stuff should send everyone scurrying for the hills. If I ever want to gain lots of weight in a hurry, I know exactly what to turn to. :)

Hope you're feeling much better soon Mystic. Well done on losing weight while you were away from home & excellent news for the plans being on the go! Cheers, Cate.

Ugh. I was doing so well all day, feeling very determined.
I went and got ingredients to make that Napa Cabbage Salad and when I got home I realized that instead of the whole salad being 2-3 servings, it was 6 servings, which meant my portion sizes were much smaller than I thought. For one portion it was over 600 cals, but it was a fairly small serving and it tasted so good I had another serving, then had more of the ramen noodles/almonds with the dressing. Then once I had gone so off track with that I gave in to a LOT of chocolate. Ferrero Rocher and kinder chocolate bars.
I just forced myself to enter the whole day into MFP even though I really didn't want to see how many cals I ate today. About 3081 cals for the day!
I went and lunged my horse after work, but didn't even go for a walk. Partially because I messed up my leg somehow today at the end of the work day. I suddenly I kept getting shooting pain, then dull aches in my lower leg depending on how I moved it. I think it's gone now (though I have mostly been lying around) but it lasted from probably 2:30 till at least 7:30.
My friend is spending the night at her brother's place as she has to work in a different part of the city tomorrow and her brother's house is closer. It will be lovely to sleep in my bed again, rather than on a couple stacked yoga mats on the floor. She's hoping to be staying at the house she shared with her ex-fiance till the end of may (as long as ex has found another place to live) starting tomorrow evening so hopefully that works out.

I'm feeling better, less sick though still tired, however my nose is still spewing grossness and I still don't have my voice back and this is a full week of my voice being messed (and close to 2 weeks of being sick).
I was 159.2 this morning, I assume due to all the sodium from yesterday's eating out twice. Will see what it is tomorrow as that is my official weigh in day for the week.
I ate all the chocolate in my house and I think I should be able to get on track tomorrow though it will certainly be hard to stay on track with the weekend coming up! I know my mom and I plan to go out to a restaurant that has bread and salad/soup to start and then your meal. I just looked up the nutrition and I'm definitely having the soup for 140 cals. The bread seems to be 300 cals per bread (not including margarine) so I could maybe have one slice with a bit of butter. Probably for 150 cals. Then if I could get the lunch sized Sausage and pepper penne for 540 cals it wouldn't be too bad.830 cals for it all I think it adds up to. And maybe I could not have the bread because one small slice is hardly worth it and will make me want more! I think since my weeks been so messed up that I will try for 1500 cals tomorrow, then allow 1700 cals on the weekend per day. Then back to my usual 1500 during the week, whatever I have left that fits into my weekly goals on the weekends.
This was my longest most detailed post since getting back which is a good sign that I'm giving this more attention and thought. Still don't have the drive to go visit other diaries yet (and I'm always on here late when I am tired, will need to get on early tomorrow.) I think once I get a good eating day or 2 under my belt I will have the desire to visit everyone's diaries again! It's 11:30pm and I'm totally spent so I'm off to bed.

Oh my gosh, I've been like addicted to this stupid Napa cabbage salad. Would be fine if it was like a Balsamic Vinegar Salad that was 100 cals for 4 cups worth. But instead it's over 600 cals for a couple cups worth. It's making me sick to the stomach a bit. Ugh.
Really gonna try to get back on track.
I was 157.4 this morning but it was a much later weigh in than usual. Weighed in around 10:30-11 or so.
Going out with my mom to look at show homes as she may finally be close to be able to purchase something (crossing fingers!!). We are either going out for supper today or tomorrow but I'm gonna watch the cals and eat what I posted in my last post.
I think I could start exercising tomorrow. Starting to feel better I think. Still a cough, nose yuckies, and voice isn't quite right, but I think a couple sleep ins and easy days this weekend should help.
I have logged onto MFP for 101 days today. Hoping it's motivating to get back on track.

Must be nice to have your place to yourself again! Friendship and helpfulness are wonderful things but having some peace and quiet is rather awesome too ;)

Thank you!

I'm feeling quite hopeful today that I am now starting to be able to get back on track. The morning was terrible with the Napa Cabbage Salad. I probably had a good 3 servings which equals to over 1800 cals!! Ouch!
But then we went out for that supper I talked about and I managed to resist the coke, and resist the bread (which is ever so yummy there!), had the 140 cal soup to start, then had a half serving of the pasta dish I get which was about 460 cals for a total of only 600 cals at the restaurant.
I went to my mom's house to watch a movie in the evening and had planned to have popcorn, but then she reminded me that she had easter bread for me. It's a once a year thing to have easter bread so I decided to have that. Had 2 pieces and it was SO not worth it. I felt a bit sick to my stomach (I think mostly due to eating so many sweets in the last few days) and it just was not worth the cals. I think with staying on track with the restaurant food, then having the easter bread not be worth it I think it's really gonna help get me back on track.
I have my meals roughly planned out for tomorrow to help me as well.
I also plan to do a light 20 min run to help get me back into exercising, or maybe a yoga class, or both.
Gotta get'er done!

I finally went through diaries today! It was a bit of a struggle as I was feeling really tired and slightly sick because I was forcing myself to stay awake when I was really tired. But it makes me feel I am even closer to being on track which I like!

Ok so I forgot to post this on the 10th so will post it now (using my weigh in from the 10th)

Starting weight: 183.5
Current Weight: 158.6 (+0.4)
First Mini Goal Weight: 160 by March 27 *Accomplished March 20th*
Second Mini Goal Weight: 144 by July 3
Final Goal Weigh: 125

i was 157 this morning, but that was at 10am not 7:30am.

Looking at my time line it looks like I have 12 weeks to lose 14.6 pounds to make my next mini goal. I do believe that is doable.
Feeling quite happy with myself today :)
When I got out of bed (which was around 11:15 or so) I changed and headed straight to the gym. I told myself to just do 20 mins of light running to get myself back into it. I started with my 2 mins of walking to warm up then started to run at a speed of 5.4. Slower than normal but easing my way back in. I definitely still had a cough and runny nose and such to deal with. The lady next to me gave me a few glances when I coughed as if she thought that I might infect her (despite coughing away from her and into my towel) haha. As I came up to 20 mins, I decided I felt well enough to push for 30 mins! Once I hit 29 mins I upped it to 7.0 speed for a final 'sprint' (slower than I have been sprinting before I left). At the 30 min mark I did my 5 min walk cool down. Was so happy I got myself out to the gym, and was happy I felt pretty good during the running for the time off I had.
When I got back up to my place my friend called me, which kept me from popping on the TV or going on the internet so much as you can't really talk while that distracted. So this meant that it 'forced' me to do some cleaning. I was on the phone with her for nearly 50 mins and cleaned the entire time. Things had started to pile up with the dishes needed to make that salad, and the front area was busy with all the stuff from the horse show. I got everything in my living area tidied. It still needs vacuuming and my bathroom isn't clean but it looks and feels so much better! It also was a bit more calorie burning than sitting around so that was good.
My friend came over around 3 as it's the first time she hasn't had people around this weekend as her parents had left town to go back to their homes. We made a quick drive out to the barn to switch out my horse's blanket for a heavier one as it's supposed to get down to -7 tonight.
We wanted to go for a walk, but it was so very windy outside it lost it's appeal. So we just stayed in and watched some netflix. I made her supper. Just salsa chicken and microwave baked potato that was very good.
She left around 7:30 and I've just been relaxing since then. I feel quite on track right now.

Will update or post again after I finish my snacks for the day.

Way to jump back in there!!! Nothing squashes the bad feeling of getting off track like a good solid session of getting back on. Just keep riding the momentum forward and don't look back.

Something I've had to learn to do is have a short memory when it comes to bad days/spells and having a good memory when it comes to thinking about all of the good days.

Thank you. Generally once I'm on track again I usually stay on track pretty well (at least eating wise) so I feel pretty positive right now.
To finish off my above entry here is my food for the day

Lunch: Chicken Wrap (forgot the salsa!)
Snack: 2 Red Velvet cookies
Supper: Salsa Chicken, and baked potatoes
Snack: Popcorn, 2 sour cream muffins
Total Cals: 1522 :)

I also forgot to post the details of my run. 2.97 miles, and treadmill said cal burn of 376

Sounds like a very good day. Great job with the treadmill work. I've kind of come to the conclusion that with all the various bells and whistles on these things now, that it's a pretty amazing piece of exercise equipment if you use it in a way that maximizes what you're trying to achieve. I can sort of do most of any sort of cardio plan I come up with on the thing, which is really convenient.

Thanks. Ya I like the treadmill, mostly to watch netflix.

156.4 this morning.
Today started in a panic. I had a meeting with a bank guy at 2pm today and I realized in the morning that I had not gotten my paperwork I needed for that. I don't give myself a lot of time in the mornings, so I quickly searched my 'office' and could not find it anywhere! I looked for as long as I possibly could while still making it to work on time but didn't find it.
Thankfully my day was not too hard (since I booked it around my appointment), and I was able to rush and get out of there early enough to get home again and look for my paperwork. I knew I only had one last place to look and otherwise I would have no idea where it was! Thankfully that one place was the right place.
After my meeting I drove out to the barn. I planned to lunge my horse then ride him. But his cold is still persisting and he was working so well on the lunge that I decided to just keep it to lunging today. We'll see how he feels tomorrow.
Came back home, changed and headed to the gym. Did a 50 min run (2 min walk warm up, 5 min walk cool down). Up to 15 min I ran a speed of 5.6, then the next 2 intervals I ran at 5.7. The first couple intervals were hard, the last interval was easier. I then did a 1 min sprint at 7.3. Distance was 4.45 miles (7.16kms), and treadmill said cal burn of 565

Lunch: 1/2 Enchilada
Supper: Leftovers from Saturday's Restaurant Meal
Snacks: Popcorn, 2 sour cream muffins, 3 cookies
Total cals: 1478

If we had a TV above the treadmill I'd be on the treadmill a lot more. Instead we have a white wall... no picture, no window... Just a wall. It's so boring. lol.

I hope your horse feels better! ...and now I'm off to Google what a lunging a horse is. haha. :)

Thanks guys. Sometimes watching netflix is the only way to make it through a 'long' (for me) run.

155 this morning. Nice to see a good drop.

I listen to my iPod while I bike. I have different playlists types of music. It makes the rides pass by fast.

Glad you are doing it!!! I am a physician assistant. The doc I work with, and I, run a surgical weight loss center. We see just about everything there is to see! I am devoted to promoting health and wellness globally. So....keep running!!

Congratulations on the drop! My fitness center has a row of televisions on the wall - and they all show the same lame video´s of people trying very hard to break their necks and (usually) failing.

It's definitely nice to be able to choose my own show, even if I watch it on my itty bitty phone screen!

Fairly good day today. Had to groom my first dog sitting on the ground because he was an old, FAT, one legged german shepard. He could hardly stand for even a minute or 2 so I groomed him while he lay on the floor. That was uncomfortable. The rest of the day was fine work wise. It looked like a busy day but I finished at around 3. I felt a bit hungry near the end of the day, I think maybe due to my run yesterday since I'm not too used to it.
Headed to the barn, decided to lunge Elis again to see how he was feeling after I thought he felt a little blah yesterday. He actually looked pretty good today. His nose is still running, but it seemed less thick and more clear so hopefully it's clearing out. Tomorrow I will ride him (possibly lunge first then ride)
Came back home and made myself supper quickly and ate it before heading to Hot Yoga. Had a good class, though the instructor seemed to get a bit short with me when it took me a while to 'get' a pose. I think he thought I was just trying to ignore what he was saying, or maybe I was reading too much into it haha. At the end we are supposed to get a cold towel to help us cool down and they totally missed me (or maybe it was the instructor sticking it to me haha) which sucked a bit. Such a first world problem.

Lunch: 1/2 Enchilada
Supper: Salsa Chicken, potatoes
Snack: popcorn, 2 sour cream muffins, 2 cookies
Total Cals: 1484

Still need more veggies haha
