Time to stick with it!!

Lisa, that wasn't that bad! You're whole day of eating sounds pretty good, and oh well, a few bites of Spaghetti slipped past you! No worries, you worked hard at the gym! :D!!

..Yesterday was the first day I saw Biggest Loser and I was SO INSPIRED!!!! :D!!! OMG..those people are AMAZING and the second they get there ther are doing such exercises I thought they would have died doing!!! I wanted to get off my ass and run to the gym after my workouts again, but I had a lot of goal planning to do so I couldn't...but man, I'm definitely putting that show on TEVO!!! & next time, I'm working out while I watch that show!

Lucky thing is that it did keep me from snacking. hahah!..Day by Day!

Actually I thought about it later and there were things I forgot to include like two glasses of milk, a fudsicle, etc. I just can tell if I've had a bad day by the way I feel going to bed and this night wasn't good in my books - not horrible like Christmas but not back on track.
BL usually keeps me from snacking and it was really inspiring watching the sweat poor off their faces but I went to food anyway - your right from what you wrote in your post that I was maybe just lonely? I don't know why I always go to food but it helps for the moment or seems too. I know I have issues with it and will eventually work my way through them.

Hey Lisa! Happy New Year!

Thank you for writing on my dairy, it was good to hear from you! I'm sorry that your scale wasn't so good to you, but I love your positive attitude, your going to take it off plus more in no time, I think we both know that, your such a stong and determined person! You looked beautiful in your dresses, your body is looking amazing! What a transformation! I am happy that we are both back to our diaries and back to eating well and working out, this year will definitly be our year of sucess and reaching our goals.

You are right about taking it off plus some - just a matter of time. Thanks for the comments about the photos! I'd say 2009 was your year! Look at all you accomplished! 2010 will be extra special for both of us finally reaching final goals!

It's going to take some time for all of us to get over the night snacking again... but remember, you're working out very hard and your body may be asking for more!! You may want to schedule in that early evening snack so that you have something healthy planned and don't have to feel the guilt.

You look so beautiful in your pics Lisa :D I love both dresses!!!
Marie

The problem is I schedule in a healthy snack but as soon as it's gone I go searching for more! My stomach has just expanded so much - it's going to take some time to get over the feeling of needing to fill it! I plan to really commit after my trip - i know excuses excuses!

You are doing great with your workouts. The snacking will go away eventually! Just gotta find your groove again! I think your weigh in will go good tomorrow - mine... well, I'd rather just skip it. Hmph......

I know my weigh in will not go good and I'm prepared for it. I don't expect to see the 140's until I really work for it when I return!

Ok so yesterday was about the same as the day before. Great work out - bad eating - lots of unnecessary snacking - and chocolate to boot!
I'm not even going to list what I had because it's not motivating for anyone or inspiring - but my work out on the other hand was really good!
I did 4.2 miles in 45 min (warm up 3 min and then ran at 5.8 mph for 40 minutes straight followed by 2 min cool down) then I went and did a 1 hr new body class using 3 lb hand weights for the whole hour - my shoulders are really sore today. Getting back on the treadmill felt great however for the first 5 min I was still getting the sore feeling from the jiggling bum and thighs but it went away and I was able to keep going and going. I changed t-shirts and bras before the new body class because it was so sweaty! Good thing I always pack an extra change of work out clothes! Oh and I logged 16140 steps yesterday so that was good too!
Tonight I am meeting my friend and we are going to 30 min spinning class followed by 1 hr yoga class - I'm a little nervous about the yoga because I have only done a small amount of moves on the Wii Fit but my friend tells me I should be able to do it no problem so I am trusting her.
My hunnie got a call to go out of town for the weekend for some work so it's great that he is working but it's going to be lonely without him - hopefully he gets back before Thursday when I go on my trip. My girlfriend is having a sliding party at her house Saturday so that will be fun - I haven't gone sliding in a very very long time - it should be a good workout climbing the hill all day.
I took some measurements last night and I'm up 3 inches around my belly button - I feel it in my clothes too and that alone should give me motivation to stop the night time snacking but nope. When the time comes it's like I just don't care.
Anyway I know I'll feel better after hitting the gym tonight - my moods have just been all over the place lately and everyone is noticing it - happy one minute, annoyed the next. I think I'm getting more and more ready for my trip next week - and I still plan to work out at least 3 times! I'm looking forward to waking up early one morning and running the beach - it looks so beautiful in the pics!
Have a good night everyone! :seeya:

Beach Runs are Fantastic!! I remember when I used to dedicate ONE day a week to do that for myself! It's harder, yet much more invigorating to run alongside the water. It looks like a million diamonds...soooo beautiful!! I can't wait for you to do that too!!

...The way we eat I've noticed has TONS to do with our mood swings...it really does,...and what I tell myself about food lately that helps me curb the snacking is that..."You will have to eat in 3 hours, there is no need to finish it all, nor snack unecessary because you can have it in 3 hours. "...When I say that to myself, somehow I realize...oh yea, the food isn't going to run out. I can have it. Then I don't seem to want it anymore. So far so good. :) haha!

:grouphug: It's always lonely without the hunnie around...I hear ya! I hope he gets back before your trip too for some much needed TLC! :)! Today is a new day!!! Start fresh everyday! :)

I did yoga on the beach every morning when we were there in March. It was incredible, and I got the most beautiful sunrise pics. I'm alittle bit excited for you, but A LOT jealous ;)

Awesome run Lisa!!!! Good for you!!!!!! :D 40 minutes straight running... that is wonderful! I'm glad you pushed through the initial pain.... but once you get through it sometimes it's just like you feel as if you can keep going and going and going!!! I wish I was working out as good as you are.... I haven't gone to the gym since Monday.. house work outs are so boring! I should try taking a class when I go back. I used to take a class called "butts n guts" last year at my other university. I loved it... especially with a big group! There's no way out then because you look like a loser if everyone else can keep up and you have to leave. Have a great workout tonight :)

Ok so 5 minutes before I was leaving work yesterday my hunnie called and said he found out he is going to be out of town for a week - which means I will be leaving on my trip before he gets back and won't see him now for two weeks :( So I decided to skip the gym and spend some quality time with him at home. We made pasta (because it's both our fav) and had a bottle of wine and watched a movie and cuddled in bed. It was really nice and I'm going to miss him so much. So all in all yesterday was not a good day eating and exercise wise but it was a good day overall.
So I have 6 days until I depart and I have decided this morning that I want to really push myself and maybe lose a pound or two before I go. No more night time snacking or efforts to find chocolate. I am going to mentally try very hard to resist all my temptations and shrink my belly back to it's desired size. I am not going to starve myself just allow myself 3 meals a day and two 100 cal snacks or in other words by allowed 19 WW points each day. I am also going to work my butt off at the gym since there is no one at home to rush home to. I want to feel great again when I leave for my trip and this week I know I could have done a lot better and just didn't put in the effort in my eating choices. I am also going to drink water and lots of it from here on out. I don't really have anything planned for the weekend besides sliding tomorrow afternoon and going to the gym so I hope to get to bed early to avoid the :reddevil: (night time snacking monster)! Wish me luck - I really need to prove to myself that if I set my mind to it I can do it.
Oh and I had my hunnie hide the PB and peanut butter cookie dough we have from a fundraiser just in case I cave. The house doesn't have anything bad in in except for some boxes of kraft dinner so there should be no excuses to not eat healthy.
Ok my glass of water is empty so I have to go fill it and get some work done today - have a great weekend everyone! :waving:
p.s. my weight was the same on the scale this morning which was pretty disappointing but totally expected.

...The way we eat I've noticed has TONS to do with our mood swings...it really does.
Today is a new day!!! Start fresh everyday! :)

Thanks Alta - I am going to increase my mood by giving up chocolate before I leave - it gives me a brief high followed by a very deep low and isn't worth it in the end.
Today is a new day and I am going to kick it's butt!

you motivated me to get back to running after your 7 miles! That was amazing! I wish I had a track or could try to do it outside - I am too afraid of falling more than the cold. I love the classes because it's like I have a personal trainer for an hour. Also the other people in the class are motivating because just like you said "if they can do it so can I"! Tonight we are doing a class callled Total Core and then 20-20-20. I love trying the new classes and getting over the initial scare.

I did a yoga class yearssss ago. And I hated it. Uggh. Maybe when I'm skinnier I'll be down for trying classes, but right now I just like to stick to what I know. Probably not the BEST attitude to have, lol.
Good for you for running! I have distant hopes of running one day, but my knees KILL me when I try.. aweful.
Have a great day tomorrow!

I'm the same, I find the classes are the best workout I can get... I refuse to stop even if I feel about to burst, because as you say if everybody else is still going so will I :D I work a lot harder and a lot longer than when I used to go to the gym by myself.

Anyway enjoy the new classes. x

2 more sleeps until my trip!! I'm so excited to go now compared to last week. I have been exercising lots but my eating is still the shits.
Friday - I did 3.3 miles in 35 min on the treadmill, 30 min core class and an hour 20-20-20 (step aerobics, strength, abs/stretch)! That was awesome and I felt great but ruined it with some mini tarts while watching a movie at home.
Saturday - went sliding and probably walked up the hill 20 times.
Sunday - 3 miles in 35 min (more intervals with incline than flat running), abs, side and back machines.
Monday - 20 min elyptical, 1 hr 20-20-20 class (however I skipped out 10 min early because my abs are still sore from Friday's core class).
Tonight I plan to do 30 min cycle class followed by 1 hr barbell class.
If only I could get my eating under control - I'm not tracking and therefore I am not on track. When I get back on Jan.25 it will be back to game time and serious tracking.
Ever since xmas I am totally addicted to chocolate and haven't gone a day without a mass amount of it. Even yesterday I found a xmas present in the trunk of my car that was from one of my hunnie's aunt's and it had a chocolate snowman in it and when I was talking to my hunnie I told him I would leave it for him to eat when he gets home and an hour later I ate it!! I don't even want to tell him because I'm so disappointed in myself for having no will power. I hope to get off my chocolate cravings during my trip - I find when it's hot I don't crave sweets as much, so we'll see.
I went shopping this weekend and found a bunch of really cheap clearance summer stuff - sun dresses, bathing suit wraps, t-shirts and other fun things to wear on my trip. I probably shouldn't have bought them but they were so cheap and I put it on the VISA! It got me really excited but I also wished I would have tried harder between Jan.2 and now because the stuff would have looked even better.
This week my boss is in town to cover for me when on holidays so I didn't get a chance to get on here yesterday. Today I am in a different building so I should get to visit everyone I haven't for a while. Hopefully find some motivation to say no to chocolate today. I probably won't get on here tomorrow so this is it until Jan.25th! I will miss you all - hope you all do really well while I am away! I will be thinking of you! Until then :waving:

Have a fabulous trip Lisa!!! Try and make healthy choices when you can, but don't let it rule your trip.

You will be missed and I'm already excited to hear all about it when you get back :D:D:D

Marie

ps: I can't stop craving apple strudel :p

Lisa... I think it is something in the air. You, myself, and other girls that I know that aren't even TRYING to lose weight have been addicted to chocolate just recently! Ever since like... Halloween time. Wonder what started that (trick-or-treat candy much? lol) But it's so weird!! Every time I go to my boyfriend's house I always have to grab some Hershey's kisses from their candy dish in the living room. I can't stay away from it!

Hopefully the snacking and all that gets under control soon. The good thing is you are still working out! Keep at it. Even if you aren't losing weight at least you can maintain it pretty good.

Have an AMAZING time on your trip.... I can't wait to hear all about it! I will miss hearing from you (I was even upset to find that you weren't on here yesterday!) but when you come back we will be here and ready to kick it into high gear with ya! Take lots of pictures!!!

Where are you off to? :)

LOL this getting him to hide the naughty foods sounds like something I would do... unfortunately my other half is one of those uber-annoying people who eats and eats and never puts on a lb... infact he is classed as underweight for his height and would like to put on weight, but no ammount of food and lazing seems to do that for him! So the the long and the short of it is, our house is usually filled to the brim with tempting foods and most nights I cook two meals - a healthy one for me, and a lovely looking/smelling one for him which I'm not allowed lol. (All the more will-power required!)

Good luck on losing those extra couple lbs before you leave for wherever you're going! x

We have these little chocolate truffles in the freezer coated in powder or something!!! :drool5:!! OMG...to die for!!!....On the back of the box, it says :

Calories: 1 peice (which looks like an oversize Hershey kiss)
220 calories !!!

....Woaaaa!!! I think it's wrong cause it says the whole box, has serving sizes 8 quantity, and there are way more than 8 in there!!...but still...I just NIBBLE GENTLY ON THE TOP, WRAP IT AND PUT IT BACK!!! hahaha!!! :D! (for tomorrow's nibble) ....like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!! GOTTA MAKE IT LAST!! haha! ;)!!! Chocolate addictions are going around definitely!! :D!
