hi checking in

Hello CB :waving:
Have a fun trip!
Also in response to :

"walked up the hill 20 times."

Awesome. Thats such good strength and toning for your legs. :D

Way to make the best of winter.

Guess what, girl? I went to...wait for it...the gym! Finally!

I felt good, I didnt do too much.

Actually, I decided just to use one machine and go home just to get myself to go, but when I got there, I did some reps on a leg machine, and decided I would try one more machine, and then I went and decided I could do 7 songs worth of bike riding on the lowest 4 levels, and then finally I did some slow stretching after a few light abs exercises to cool down.

I didnt feel too sore or much different after but I feel less scared to go now, the anticipation that builded up in me has calmed to a lower level.

Anyways, have a good one, we'll talk soon after your trip!
Ashley

This is a very dodgy diary to visit at the minute... I came in with only pure thoughts and left with chocolate on the brain!!

Shame on you ladies, putting these thoughts in my head!! ;) I hope next time I visit the only food I see mentioned is the low fat low sugar kind! :D

Oh, and have a great time away Lisa :) x

Hi Lisa!

I hope your having an amazing vaca! I miss hearing from you, but I hope your having a blast and enjoying your new body in your summer outfits. I'm looking forward to hearing how everything went.

Where do I begin!! I'm so happy to be home!! I can't wait to start fresh today and get these added pounds back off!!! My boyfriend surprised me when I got home with a new treadmill so that is going to really help kick start my exercising and eating healthy routine!!
My vacation was the worst! One thing after another and ok I understand shit happens but it was just never ending!
To start they didn't have our reservation booked until April so when we arrived at the airport they didn't have records of us taking the shuttle so we ended up fighting with them for an hour to let us on. We finally got to the resort and then learned they didn't have our name because they had us arriving in April so that was a mess to get that straigtened out. It rained for the first four days we were there and I was wearing jeans and a sweater because it was too cold for new summer dresses I packed. Our bed had bed bugs so I have a million bites! They didn't have hot water so our showers were awful - the food was awful - some of it wasn't bad but for the most part I ate off the kids buffet - fries & mashed potatoes because I'm pretty picky when it comes to mystery meat. We paid for an excursion and the bus broke down and I was scared to get off the bus because there were locals walking around with shot guns staring at us. When the sun finally came out I got a heat rash so I had to stay covered up. I got one run in and not on the beach because the beach was also infested with bugs - fire ants and I didn't want any more bites. I almost had to go to the Doctor because my feet were so swollen with bites but they wanted to give me a shot and I didn't get any shots before going so I was afraid of the needles - my feet are getting better now but they are still really itchy.
I was so happy to come home - I missed my hunnie too! I got along really well with my sisters but everyone was sick and pretty miserable it didn't stop raining for so long and things just didn't go as planned. I was so glad I didn't spend a lot of money to go because then I would have been really disappointed. But the past is the past and I have lots of flab to blast starting today!! I have my gym bag packed and have been trying to drink lots of water today to flush out my system. Because the weather was so bad and there wasn't much to do we drank every morning and every evening! My liver really needs a break! I went to Wendy's when I got home because I was craving the spicy chicken burger and it was soo good!
Oh and my chocolate craving is out of my system too!
So some goals for the week ahead:
- treadmill before work 3 times
- gym everyday after work
- drink more water
- no snacking after dinner!
I did get some good pictures but don't have time today to upload them - will try to get some done before the end of the week.
I have so many journals to catch up on and lots of work to catch up on too!!
I was 155 on my scale this morning:banghead: nothing to do now but kick some butt!!!!

It was really sweet of him but really he shouldn't have because we can't really afford it - I plan to use it almost everyday to make sure we get our money's worth! He says he will use it - we'll see!
Yes I need to add to my goals that I will run everyday! Even if it's just a mile!

Thanks for stopping by!
Exercise is so important for me - it keeps me motivated to eat well and makes me feel tighter and better about myself. I love a good sweat!

OMG!!! :smilielol5: That would make a great movie :smilielol5:

Don't think about money everytime you get on the new treadmill or you'll ruin it for yourself. Think of it more as an investment in your health and wellness :)

Did you get any reading done on your "fabulous" trip?!?!

AAAHHHHHHHH... So glad to have you back... missed you soooo much!!!!! :grouphug:

Sorry to hear your vacation pretty much sucked. :(

My best use for a treadmill has always been 25 to 35 mins of low to moderate intensity cardio maintaining a heart rate between 140 and 150. Great for an easy (and somewhat boring) cardio workout that will burn some fat and boost your metabolism for a while. :) So don't feel like you have to run on it all the time. But hey, if you can, more power to ya!

Welcome back! :)

Well funny story about the book actually! So I had it in my checked luggage and when I went to the airport my suitcase weighed over 50 pounds so I had to take something out and put it in my carry-on - so since the book weighs 5 pounds itself I took that out and a couple pairs of shoes so I didn't have to pay extra for overweight luggage. I ended up leaving my carry-on on the plane and no one seems to be able to locate it :( So I lost two fancy pairs of sandles, a change of clothes and my book. I was so mad because I had started reading it the night before and actually started to get interested in it. I ended up reading trashy gossip magazines my sisters brought with them. Looks like I have something to ask for for Valentine's Day!

Thanks Derrick. That's pretty much what I used to do on my parents but I think I am going to do more interval training with the one I have now. Or even just walk at a moderate pace while watching something on tv I would anyway.
