Hey njoyabl, what a fun weekend. Veronique is right, get plenty of water in the sytem, stay good with food for next four days, and go for weigh-in on friday. I had a naughty weekend too, but i have promised myself that I will work extra hard this week.

The more meals a day- I think it depends on whether or not it works for you. There are stickies in this forum about it- read Steve's stickies. They have a ton of info. I don't think I can eat 6 meals a day, but i have been managing 5 meals a day so far. When I travel, i definitely can't eat five meals. I have some friends who just can't do five meals because they say they eat a lot more when they eat like that. So it really depends on you. Your nutritionist is not entirely wrong in this regard, I think. But I would suggest you read the stickies.

Have a good week. Talk soon.

Yeah, I guess it like different strokes for different folks. I'm going to give the stickies a look over. It's like since having my second baby, I'm just a little lost when it comes to weight loss because those old tricks don't work for me anymore, and my tolerance level isn't the same. Thanks for staying on the is journey with me though. Trust, I'm not going to let it get the best of me.

Hi Njoyabl,

Don't worry about your weekend, you ate it, its gone and you realized you don't want that kind of food, even your body rejected it so you lived, you learned and your moving on to better things. Besides that your weekend sounded like a lot of fun and really eventful. And your outfit sounded hot!

I hope your back to your diet exersice and I hope your having a good week so far.

I didn't get to my workout yesterday because I had so much work to do. I thought I had an online meeting with my team for school and turns out we didn't so I waited around till 8 pm. I had missed the last meeting that we scheduled out of order and just came in on the scheduled meeting but it was cancelled. I changed up my dinner to making chicken and dumplings. Before dinner I had 700 calories so I had 500 - 850 to spare, and that is good because I mean chicken and dumplings you know. I was so tired that I came into work late today, I called in and said I would be late due to an appointment, and slept in. 4 hours. I'll make it up next week. Today I'm tired. Had an apple so far as I just got up a little over an hour ago. The baby slept up to like 3:00 am, and then wanted to get up and stay up. I don't know what that was about. He is also scratching his belly. I wonder if he is allergic to the Gerber food because of his milk allergy. I heard that Gerber products contained milk. Idk. I'm eating fish for lunch and a salad. Have oranges and apples for snacks. I'll update on my day later.

I had two cheeseburgers at McD's this weekend too - haven't heard of those triples. I like mine with extra onion and pickle - I'm a weird girl.
Oh well it's the work week and back to the grind! We can get those calories off - we just gotta put some effort it! It's always hard after a long weekend to get back in the game - just take it one day at a time!! Next week will be easier!

Thanks Janvier, I'm trying, seems I hit a need sleep stage this week, I'm super tired. I wonder if it has anything to do with all that crap I ate. Gonna pop my vitamins and hope that it picks up and I am able to slide out of it. Oh and yes the outfit was hot, I was proud of myself. Haven't worn a dress and felt comfortable in ages.

The triples were big and cheap! I still can't believe I ate them! I am taking it one day at a time. I had a dream last night that I stepped on the scale and had lost the 4 lbs I put back on, so I'm hoping with my fingers crossed that that is a good sign. I haven't weighed myself because I don't want to be too disapppointed, so I am going to wait until I've had one week of doing well to see the damage, and maybe a little maintenance.

You tiredness could be comming from all your fun this weekend, also I find the week before TOM I can barely get out of bed, no matter how much sleep or how well I eat! I have done the I am gonna be late due to an appointment a few times and then slept in but it ain't gonna work with the new boss.....If I am late due to an appointment I need a document from such appointment to prove it! What if my appointment is at the bank what type of document do I get there???? If you are that exausted mabe just focus on eating well and mabe an easy leasure walk with the kids just to help you relax!!!! Focus on feeling healthy the rest will fall into place!

I found that when I was 25 and pre kids the pounds fell of way faster so I am wondering if it's age or just that the pregnancies have changed my systeme? Hope those extra sleep hours helped you this am!

I think you might be right. I did do alot this weekend, and didn't sleep in as much as I usually do. I don't think I took a break. I really think that the last pregnancy really worked out a deal with my fat cells, cuz it is hard. I think what is harder is my activity level though. I always had jobs where I was on my feet alot, and moving around. Here, I am just sitting and have gained 30 pounds over the last 3 years. I would love to take a hot tub bath tonight, but that is really iffy with my schedule, but I will try to be very conscious of my eating, although I love chicken and dumplings!

The long weekend seems to have done you in. Drink lots of water, greens, fruits, plain yogurt and vitamins and sleep (!!!) usually works for me. And Veronique is right, focus on the food part this week and really get in the healthy eating and exercising over the weekend so that you can be really good all week next week. You can do it.

Hope your Wednesday is going well.

Do you ever get that feeling that you are being such a slacker? Well, it's been hitting home lately. I know that if I had been doing everything that I know how to do, that I would be much lighter by now. I haven't been and I've been giving in. Although, I have been walking alot, I can give myself some credit now, I haven't bee a total loss, and I am starting to lose weight again without exhausting effort. I have decided to put myself on a program. I do have Hip Hop Abs and Turbo Jam, but I don't follow them regularly, and I think that I need a set schedule. So, starting yesterday, i am going to follow Hip Hop Abs for now. I am going to continue walking, and Everyday of Hip Hop Abs. If I miss a day, I'll have to make up for it with 2 workouts. I've been lazy, and laziness causes cravings. I have been craving sweets every morning since I started this 6 - 2:30 schedule. When I came in at 8:30, I didn't crave sweets so much, so I don't know what's going on there. I'm usually pretty tired and think that may have something to do with it.

My mini goal for the week:

I am not going to worry about the scale, my goal this week is to keep the schedule of doing Hip Hop Abs consistently with the given schedule from the program through sunday of this week.

That is my exercise goal for the week.

Food goal for the week:

Healthy salad for lunch every weekday/ lean meat limited to turkey or fish for the week, soup is optional.

raw fruits and veggies for snacks.

Oh yeah, STAY AWAY FROM ICE CREAM! YOGURT IS MY FRIEND!

Train of thought:
I figure, if my workouts are planned and set, and I have at least one meal planned and set, and I know what I am going to have for snacks then, more than half of the work is already planned. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not a planner, but when I do plan, it works out for me, but I definitely need variety and choice in my life that is just what I feel, so, I leave breakfast and dinner to open options, which I am planning to be healthy choices (this is my week of grocery shopping). I have a pretty good idea for breakfast though, I usually like the same thing over and over, but dinner is definitely my time to be creative. I have non-fat yogurt by dannon if I get hungry late night.

Saturdays and Sundays are tough days for me, fridays too. My plan will definitely be to eat in moderation, to do an early morning workout in addition to Hip Hop Abs.

This is my attempt to regain consistancy in my life, my busy life rather, but controlling the fact that I have a great figure under this extra fluff, and she misses me as much as I miss her.

Great plan! I think it will really work for you if you stick to it! I need to plan too in order to stay on track so last night I made three salads for lunch this week and cut up a bunch of strawberries for my yogurt in the morning and washed some other veggies to have handy for snacks. I'm the same with my dinners and plan them as I go but always have some healthy meat - turkey, chicken, fish, etc. and more veggies! I know you can do it - it just takes some planning and some effort and staying consistent! Oh and keep up the water!! Good job so far and I know you will get there!

Hi Njoyabl,

Your plan sounds great. I think planning is key so you don't spend too much time searching in the fridge or cupboards while your hungry because thats when its easy to grab something unhealthy, its better to at least have an idea what kind of meals and snacks you want to make your healthy choices easier. I'm like Lisa where I prepare thing, like pre-wash my fruits and veggies or cut them all up and put them in little bags or containers to just make them easy to grab them and go or to just throw them in a pot when I get home for dinner. Your plan sounds like it will get you back on track and I know it will help you get to your goals if you stick to it, Hip Hop abs really really worked for me when I first started losing weight so I know it will work for you too! hang in there, this is just a rough spot and I know you will get through it and do great!

Hey I think your plan is great! I have Hip Hop Abs at home, I got it for Christmas and I loved it, I need to get a freaking DVD player I hve these great tools P90X and Hip Hop and I can't do them! I think you are doing great by planing most of your meals when they are pre plan you won't stand at the fridge looking for junk! I find that when I am tired I crave sweets it's like fake energy or something! You can do this!

Chubbygirl - I'm really having to make sure I stay on point with the water, expecially when you don't feel well it is easy to just forget to drink anything. If I don't plan and if I am not in a healthy mood then I can tend to just throw it out the window, so I am going to start being more responsible by preparing my food at night. I got my salad today.

Janvier - Rough spot is right! Regardless of the rough spot I have been staying consistent with my spot on this forum, because it helps you to realize that you are not alone and everyone has them. It is a great way to help get you back in gear, whereas before I would have just got even more depressed and ate everything I wanted without moderation all at one time. My friend is asking to use my hip hop abs, just when I decided that I was ready to get intimate with it. I do have turbo jam, but I am considering just copying it for her, if I can do that that is.

Verobc - You really need to get that dvd player! I need to hear more reports of that P90X! You know, I think you might be right about that fake energy and craving sweets thing. I am always so tired in the morning, and the first thing I think of is something sweet. Even at night when I know I should be in the bed then I start looking in the fridge for something sweet to snack on. Would love to figure out how to kill those cravings. It is that craving that hurts my eating most of the time.

Today is a weird day, yesterday was bad. The day before yesterday, my right eye was burning, and I went to sleep with some tylenol and a watery eye. I woke up yesterday morning barely being able to see, and eye sensitive to light. I took my baby to the doctor and the doctor makes a comment about my eye and takes a look, then gives me meds (that i didn't have to pay for) and says that I have an infection and start it right away. I had so much trouble driving there and back that I was afraid to drive period. I called out of work. Today, I'm wearing shades at work and everyone is looking at me like they are trying to figure out if I am a battered woman. I was late for work because I was trying to drive very careful. I didn't get alot of sleep because the eye gave me a massive headache, and eye ache that I had to take 2 percocets and lay down just to get it under control. Luckily, the kids' father didn't have to work and took care of them for me so I didn't have to deal with them. I was miserable.

Breakfast:
1 egg white, 1 whole egg, 2 slices of whole wheat bread with mixed berry jelly, coffee, 1 creamer

Lunch will be:
Salad, tomato, onion, cucumbers, light dressing, boiled egg whites (2)

Snack:
oatmeal, coffee

Dinner:
oven baked fish, vegetable stir fry

It was raining earlier, don't know what it'll do tonight, but I don't think I want to see the sun anyway. Tonight Hip Hop abs, and some wii sports with the son. I hope my eye feels better.

That eye infections sound really bad, i am glad your DR saw it and gave you a prescription right away!!! As for the surgar craving, vitamine b helps I used to take it and it really does help plus it boost your energy,,,,that is if you are not dead tired it's a vitamine not an upper lol! Rest up that eye! Somewhere in June I need pants a bra lol and a DVD player will find out how to squeeze into the budget, I can't find one under 39$ plus taxe that is kind of chunk out of our monthly entertainment/health budget!

Oh, yes the infection is bad, and I am terrible with things like this. I wanted to cry last night because my head hurt so bad and the baby was crying for me to rock him and I couldn't. I'm greatful that the Doctor, which is my children's pediatrician looked at it for me, and decided to give me something right there from the office. The prescription she said is the best and it would cost like 104 dollars if I had to buy it. So what a relief. At this moment it is feeling a little better and not as sensitive as earlier. It is still annoying though. As far as vitamine b, is there a certain one for that? I"ve been dreaming of ice cream all day. LOL! I wish I could give you a recommendation on where to buy a dvd player cheaper, but I know nothing about Canada. Speaking of, there are more people here that are from Canada than I have ever seen on any site! It's funny though, I told my bf (ex) about a year ago, and even recently that I should just move to Canada, and that I bet it was more peaceful there. We were planning to visit this year, and probably still will, but I have to find out more about it so we aren't just lost. My neighbor used to live there so she's been talking to me about it.

Will vitamin b12 work? I don't know much about the vitamin b's.

Today - Better than yesterday with my eye. Still red, and a little sensitive, but mostly my sinuses are a B****! My eyes want to water, and my throat is all scrubby, whatever you get the point. I am barely breathing. Took a Zyrtec like an hour ago, and nothing, zilch. The baby kept waking up, and so today I'm still tired, but not as tired. I would be better if I wasn't so stopped up, and irritated.

So, yesterday went well, my only slip up was a craving of cheetos in the afternoon. I ate one small bag worth 150 calories, but I drank water all day. I cooked the best talapia ever last night. I'm new to the fish thing so I am proud of myself. I seasoned it with zero calorie, zero trans fat butter spray, parsley, old bay, pepper, bit of season all, and onions, and covered it and popped in the over. I steamed some mixed veggies and cut some red potatoes and cooked them with a little water and veggie oil with onions. Steamed some dungess crab legs, and drank some orange tea. My son loved the fish! Bow, Bow, yes I did it, and it was good. I really meant to bring the fish and veggies to work with me today, but running late threw that out the window. I had a craving this morning, of course at 6 am. I ate one pop tart at 6:05 am, had a cup of coffee and was wired. At about 9 am, had one egg white, and one whole egg with half of a small baked potato. lunch will be a salad with tuna, tomato, cucumbers, onions, low fat ranch. bottle of water. I've also had an orange juice today (210). So far I've gotten in a few days of hip hop abs, not as much as I'd like but I have walked everyday after dinner.
Dinner:
Talapia and veggie leftovers
