Verobc -

Thanks, we can make it, I know that, and I'm just in a funk right now, but I am gradually kicking my butt about it. It is nice to know that I have place to rant and people don't mind and in fact encourage you to get it out, then turn around and encourage you to stay focused. Thanks alot.

Yeah, I thought that they would too, and I didn't get other to come and inspect, I just figured it would probably all be the same and I wanted the issue taken care of right away. It really is sad that they don't take having children in the home into consideration. The lady said that they have had several customers in the past that refuse to or have problems paying off their balance and this way it is a lot less hassle.

My work day is over in less than an hour. I want to get my nails done, don't know about that yet, and I want to get in a workout of hip hop abs while dinner is cooking. We'll see what ME and my BABY can squeeze in!

njoyabl- been following your journal. im sorry you are going through a tough phase. i hear you on the weight not moving. it is frustrating. im on the same boat as you. my weight can go up, bu it has decided not to come down. it is discouraging and i was depressed last week when i found out that my weight hadn't budged in more than two weeks. so i started concentrating on other things- positive things. now instead of thinking about my weight, i think about my long runs (i ran for 42 mins yesterday) and how i can better my speed etc. i am not sure if it helps you, but thinking about all the good things I have in my life always makes me feel better.

bedbugs are a pain. throw that couch out as soon as you can. from what i understand these little bugs have the ability to survive without eating for months at a time. is the 800 dollars thingy the only option you have?

and yes, you never have to apologize for ranting in your journal. it is yours. those who don't want to read will go somewhere else, so don't hold back when it comes to writing.

good luck with this week. i am keeping my fingers crossed for you for a drop in weight and things looking up.

Hey !

How are you doing today?? I am hoping you got a great workout in!!! These days I am relying only on eating healthy but starting next week I will have to restart my workouts cause I want reasults damn it! I am hoping you go better sleep and hopefully those damn bug get exterminated tommorow for the long run! My hubby keeps wanting to buy used couches but I refuse for that same exact reason, my dog had fleas 2 years ago and that was a pain!
Hope you are doing well talk to you later!

Aw sorry to hear you are going through a tough time - bed bugs are such a pain! The resort we stayed at in Dominican this year had them and they were going around fogging the rooms but I was so scared I would bring them home so I threw out my suitcase and made sure my clothes went straight in the wash when I got home. It was hard to sleep because I kept thinking about them biting me!
Make sure you get lots of water because that will help flush everything out and give you some energy. I hope to see the scales going down for you soon and I'm glad you made it through the day! Stay positive - things will look up. take care and keep it up!

Juni - Thank you so much. I think that focusing on the positive things would be a really good idea for me right now. I find that once I get home to my baby and my son comes home, I am a much happier person, and they make me laugh and forget about everything else. I would like to concentrate on my workouts more, but I'm not really getting them in, but I have been cleaning vigorously because I want the exterminator to get every bed bug out of my house! We are throwing away the couch, and I may be couchless for a while, but also bugless too!

Verobc - Yes! I am doing much better today, thank you! I got a (little) more rest as I decided to come into work a little later. The baby wanted to play at like 11:30! But he soon went back to sleeping and so did I. It seems as if I guess I am relying on eating these days also. Once again, I didn't get to workout, I just really am working on cleaning everything out and bagging all of our clothing, washing and everything because of the bedbugs. I also had company over there, not really feeling like it, but it was my children's grandmother and aunt who wanted to see the kids, so you know. I have definitely learned my lesson from buying used or rent a center. If they have one piece of furniture that has them, they can travel around the store I'm sure. Oh yeah, Orkin came by yesterday and they have a contract with my landlord and will do the extermination for almost half the price, which is 410 dollars! I guess the biggest difference is that they have a contract with them, so that is great! I'm still broke, but at least I don't have the 800 tag hanging over my head, that was killer, I thought I was going to have panic attack over that. See ya later Veronique!

Chubbygirl/ Lisa - Everyone calls you Lisa around here, which do you prefer? LOL! Pain isn't saying it lightly! I am supposed to stay in a hotel this weekend, while my sister and I take a girls trip to Kings Dominion! When I get home, I'm going to strip at the door and toss everything in the wash! Including the bag I'm carrying! I have been getting in about 2 bottles of 16.9 ounces of water a day. That is not enough and I really need to increase my intake, so I will work on that today. If I get in 3 that would be an improvement. The day started out well, so I am going to stay positive and look forward for tomorrow! Thanks!

Good Morning,

I have to tell you, last night, I did not get bit at all, as I slept on the floor with the kids, LOL! They are so weird, my eldest loves sleeping in the floor. He always starts in the bed, then wakes up in the floor. The baby even slept with me, as he fell asleep with me, and seemed amazingly comfortable. They are so much like their father, he could sleep in the floor and never hit a bed! Anyway, my extermination is going to cost me 410 and not 800. That is so much better. I am in a better mood today, although I'm not so sure about my meal option for far.

M- 1 cup coffe, 6 Keebler saltine crackers w/ apple jelly, three boiled eggs (1 yolk), 1% lowfat milk.

S- Huge navel orange

L- Small piece of leftover pork chop (baked), some mixed greens

S- Medium apple

I'm about to get another cup of coffee because I'm still a little tired and I have like a million files to put away, so I'll be on my feet moving around alot. I'm not sure what's for dinner yet, but I'll update later today or tomorrow on that.

That is for sure not enough water when trying to lose weight! I find water is probably one of the most important factors for me. I get at least 5 20 oz bottles a day and more if I'm exercising and then I usually have about 3 12 oz cups of mint green tea too. I think if you tried to have one before you get to work, one before lunch, one after lunch, one during dinner and one in the evening you would notice a huge difference in your weight loss. Just an idea. I put lemon in mine at home and it just adds a little something. Once you drink that amount for a week you'll be used to it and it won't seem like work. At first you will find it annoying to pee every hour but eventually your body gets used to it and you won't go as much.

Yes, I agree, I am actually going to write this down because I find myself saying throughout the day, I need to drink some water, but I never give myself time periods of when I should drink it in order to get the intake that I should be having. I find that when I am able to drink more water, I have less cravings for sweets, and I did see a big improvement when I drank more. So thanks for the suggestion, I'm definitely going to try it.

Hi Njoyabl,

I haven't checked up on you for a while, I'm sorry things have been so difficult for you lately, between the lack of sleep and bed bugs you must be drained. I think dispite all of the hardships and stress you are doing great! Your eating well, your trying to get some excersice in when you have the time and energy and all you can really do is try and your trying so be proud of yourself for that. I agree with Lisa that you need to try getting in more water, I always have a big glass before breakfast and i just bought a brita pitcher and a reuseable bottle and fill it up and keep it on my desk as a reminder to be drinking all day long. You and I both have been in a funk and its time for us to kick it to the curb and kick some butt again.

Heyyyy there WLF buddies! Time to talk about today, right? Well, got minimal sleep, so I don't know why I have this energy, but thumbs up anyway.

Oh wait, good news. I got a call from the property manager and they are going to cover the cost of extermination. I pay nothing and it doesn't affect my rental agreement at all, so yeaaaa! She is sending over a checklist of everything that needs to be done before the fumigation, and as a precaution, they are going to do my neighbors also. From what she said, it is actually an epidemic here now. When she first came here, they were unheard of, and pest control in my area doesn't have as much experience as the ones in D.C, so that is who is coming down here 2 and a half to three hours away to fix this pest problem. The guy actually said he had already inspected 6 other homes that day and they were all for bed bugs, ugghh!

Anyway, like I said, got no sleep, but I'm fueled. This morning, at like 6:15 am, I'm at work and I decide I want a tasty cake cheery pie out of the machine! It was 210 calories, but I only ate half! Bad! I know but it was so good, and at least it was early so I had plenty of time to burn it off!

8am - Banana
9:30 am - white rice with bbq sauce, once chicken breast (okay whatever)
12:00 pm - salad w tomatos, green pepper, onion, cheese, brocolli, and one large orange ( I forgot to get eggs from the odr)
I have a snack for maybe 2 or 2:30, but, it's 1:55 now and I'm not hungry at all, and I leave work at 2:30 so we'll see.

I have finished a little over 50 oz of water already. I need to bring more to work cause I did that like 30 mins ago and I'm feeling thirsty. Have to retire to the restroom now. TTYL.

Good Job on the water.....
It's great that you don't have to pay that 800$ for the bedbugs mabee that is why you are feeling so energised!!!! Stress gone or part of it! Good Job on the eating. I think i am getting used to not sleeping lol but when the tiredness hits again watch out I will be in a coma or something!

Aw, thanks for checking up on me. I'm feeling better today, I have a lot of things to do, but the running around should keep my metabolism buzzing I'm sure. Yes, it is time to get out of the funk, and kick some butt! I'm ready, hope you are, I'm watching you girl!

You just don't know, I am so relieved I don't have to foot that bill! They said that it is something that happens and it can't be helped so that is why they are doing it. Thank goodness. I also think that I'm pretty used to not sleeping. I've been getting to work on time without a problem and everything, shame. Every once in a while you might see me slip up though, (I think I'm dreaming with my eyes open)! Gotta watch that! I keep bottle water in my car, so I'm going to drink one on the ride home, and probably another later on for dinner or my mini workout between errands.

Told ya things have their way of working out eventually! This is fantastic news!!! And you are getting in more water, yay! I usually drink 1 liter as soon as I get up, another liter by noon, one more before I leave work and one more right before and after dinner. I try not to drink too much water after dinner coz I hate waking up in the middle of the night to go pee pee. I have one of the Nalgene bottles, which is great at keeping track of how much water you have drunk throughout the day. When Im in hurry in the morning, I pour my mint green tea with iced water and drink it at work (it is soooo good). Try it..see if it works for you.

Which reminds me, I need to drink some water before bed---i had waaay too much soft drinks today.

Yes you did, and I am so grateful! Huge weight off my shoulders! Today, while at work, I plan to drink one more bottle than yesterday, which would put me at 67.6 oz of water before I get off at 2:30. Leaving to go out of town with my sister today, so I will continue to drink water while driving up and back. I have never heard of a Nalgene bottle, I'll have to look that up. Is the Mint green tea like one of the powder drinks that yu pour in your water? Thanks again!

I have attached a pic of Nalgene bottle (below). They are just bottle that you see with college kids (usually) in the States, but now they are popular everywhere. They are very durable. I have mine from the first year of my college with my colleg's name written on it. I got it at the college bookstore, but I have seen them in EMS or Northface outlets or any sports outlets really. They will probably cost around $20 (or a little bit more) but it is worth every penny. I take mine EVERYWHERE. :)

I make it with normal teabag (instead of one, I put two bags) and then put it in the nalgene bottle, put some more cold water and some ice (if I want) and take it with me. I loove water, but I know some of my friends do not like it so they do it with lemon or mint green tea. Green tea is also good for your health, so double benefits.

Have an amazing day and great weekend. Talk to you on Monday!

Hey Congrats on getting that water in...once ou get used to it you will do it with out thinking!!!!! I am gonna try that mint green tea once in a while it would be nice!!!! Have great weekend!

Great work on the water! I knew you could do it! I think you will really notice a difference too! My green tea is a Tetley brand and you can pick that up at almost any grocery store. They have all kinds of flavours - I stick to mint but you could try any of them! Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the update on the reusable bottle! I have never tried the mint green tea, but it sounds like it may be better than regular. I'm going to try it over the weekend and let you know how I like it! Have a great weekend.
