This ongoing Rolloercoaster needs to stop!! No more free rides!!

Great work on the water! I knew you could do it! I think you will really notice a difference too! My green tea is a Tetley brand and you can pick that up at almost any grocery store. They have all kinds of flavours - I stick to mint but you could try any of them! Have a great weekend!

My mother drinks the Tetley brand of tea, well she has alot of brands in the cabinet that I don't think she really drinks. I'm going to try it, I feel that I could really use the benefits from it. I drank some regular green tea maybe a week or two ago, and I drank it, but it didn't taste good, but i curbed my appetite for a while. I wanted something sweet, but after drinking that I didn't, might of been because it was so disgusting. Thanks for the suggestion and TTYL!

Okay, I have to do this now, and right now!

M- Small Apple, Large Navel Orange, 1 cup coffee
S- slice of carrot cake (a co-worker brought it in, and I could not resist, that is why I just had to do this entry now!)

L- will be vegetable soup and salad w/ turkey breast, tomato, cucumber, green peppers, shredded cheese, light dressing.
S- Will be large apple (maybe a nature's valley granola)
D- Undetermined, will be traveling

Do you see why, I just needed to do this now? I don't really think that it is all that bad, but I'm not sure, I need to look up the calories on this. On the plus side, I will be going to the gym this weekend. My children will be with a relative so there is definitely no excuse. 9:46 in the am, working on my second bottle of water. I may skip the granola this afternoon based on what damage I did with the carrot cake. I know it is okay sometimes, but I've had too much of that lately and I really don't want to start gaining weight. When I am done with this entry, I will be doing tons of filing and moving about. So that helps.

I'm feeling well today, not well rested, but I am good and happy, not moody like alot of my other days this week. I am happy it is friday and I know that this weekend will be alot better than the last. I think that I may be getting over my emotional eating from the past two weeks, because I am making a much more conscious effort to make the right choices. Some things are hard, but it doesn't have to be hard on my body and my health, so I am rethinking my state of mind. I've been given a lot of great advice this week from so many people on this site, and (getting teary eyed) I cannot believe how having the balls to start a journal about my weightloss journey would attract such warm and caring people, and I want to thank you all for that. I talk about things here that I don't dare talk about to anyone else who knows me. People here understand and are very supportive, and to be able to offer support in the same manner is satisfying, even when we need to talk about other areas of our lives that stress you out. Thank you

Hey Njoyabl,

How did your weekend go? Did you get a good workout in as planned? I hope your having a great week so far!

Hey Janvier.

The weekend was great. I didn't get any working out on friday due to travel time out of town. I thought the hotel would have a gym, but I was sadly mistaken. On saturday though, I got 9 hours of straight walking! A few breaks here and there, there were alot of hills. I went to busch gardens with my sister and two friends for a girls weekend. My legs really got a workout. On sunday on the way back home, I contemplated how I was going to exercise when I had a paper due. Well, my paper is late but I did go walking after getting in my other assignments. I just couldn't concentrate on that paper. Totally uninterested, therefore it is a little hard to piece together something you only half way pay attention to.

Hello, Diary.

Yesterday started with a poptart, not the best choice, but everything else was good. I tallied up my calories for the day for what I'd had and what I planned to have and it came to 1393. My goal is to stay between 1200 and 1550 according to me tracking in sparkpeople. Well, I didn't have the snack, but I was invited to a BBQ and had 2 beers and a hamburger. I had a good time, and I doubt if I'm gaining anything from that. I think I have alot of water retention though from the sodium that I have been consuming, I feel so bloated. Oh, I forgot to mention though that I did go to the gym yesterday and had a decent workout. I was tired so I didn't do as much as I hoped, but I'm sore today, so I know I did something. I think I will just do some cardio tonigt, the weights would be a bit much right now since I did my arms yesterday, and I am so tired. I shouldn't have went to that get together but my friend begged me to go with her, and being such a good friend, even though I was ready to crash, I did.

Today, I forgot my water bottles, so I am dying to get out of here and get some water. Had two cups of coffee w/ splenda so far and a cup of ice for thirst. For breakfast I had whole grain toast with apple jelly and two hard boiled eggs. Snack I had whole wheat crackers with cheese by lance. The dining hall had chili that was prepared by inmates from central kitchen, and I never eat anything that comes from there because they aren't monitored closely, so I just got some broccoli, and a slice of mozerrella cheese to go over it to eat for lunch. Their apples had soft spots and I only like Navel oranges and grapefruit, and their oranges look like they been tossing them around the kitchen. I'm pretty tired today, and think that once I get home, I'll put the baby in the stroller and walk to the bus stop to pick up my son, then walk around the block a couple times and hope that the baby takes a nap so I can have one too. After an hour, I'll be good, then I'm planning for some Hip Hop Abs. I really want to try Insanity, but I really need to make sure I can be consistant before I go wasting my dollars away.

How did your legs not fall off of your body??? Thats amazing! Good job Njoyabl! You must of burned days worth of calories. Its so inspiring that dispite how tired you are you are determined to get a workout in, I hope the walk puts baby to sleep so you can get a nap too. Good work!

I agree with everyone on here 9hrs of walking how could you not be tired? That in itself is a great workout!!!!! Good Job sticking to you calories too you are doing great!

whoa! 9hrs, you're walk-a-thon ready, if not some other kind of marathon ready. I wish I had your stamina!!! I'm glad to see you're on track, makes me wanna keep myself on track too :)

Yea, I'm going to try it to, let me know how you like it! Have a great weekend and thanks!

Hey I wanted to let you know I tried it with regular green tea and added a bit of real lemon (I had no lemons in the house) and I loved it...kind of reminded me of the green ice tea you can buy but without surgar. I can't find mint green tea but I am sure it's good!

Thanks everybody! Interesting enough, once I was done with the 9 hours of walking, I didn't think about being tired, did want to get those shoes off though and of course I did, and hopped in the shower. My legs are pretty strong, but I did feel it starting the next afternoon.

Okay, so I didn't do the hip hop abs, I really needed to wash and straighten my hair. It was really curly and wavey from getting it wet over the weekend, and it was beginning to get unmanageable. So, here is my workout. I decided not to sit for any longer than 5 minutes on the job yesterday. That wasn't hard because there is lots of work to do that requires walking from here and there and all around the workplace. I got some serious squats in while filing away 87 basefiles. I really had to focus on doing them properly, I hate squats, seriously. I basically stayed on the move the whole 8 hours. When I got home, my sister watched the baby while I got my hair done, after that, i took the baby for a walk. It was getting dark by this time. I know I was supposed to take a nap but I found energy somewhere after deciding that I needed to move around alot more at work.

After the walk, I lifted a TV from my shed while the baby relaxed from having a bath. I carried it to my bedroom, only to find that it didn't work with my converter box. Then I took that down and went and got my son's tv from his room and hooked that up. The complex manager has not sent the exterminator yet, but oddly, there are no bed bugs in my room. But, like I said, I think it came from the furniture from rent a center, and how about they keep calling me with a 150 dollar credit to anything of my choice! I think not! I didn't have this problem before that sofa! Next time, I will just wait until I have the money for my furniture and go to Ashley's as normal. So i got some good walking, squating, and lifting in. The baby fell asleep earlier than expectant and that was great because I slept a little longer and then their father came after work to get that furniture out of my house. He was like, "Bugs give me the creeps, I'm gonna need your help, so I don't get them on me from carrying it", Wan, Wan, Wan! Lol! I helped him alright, watched him drag both pieces out the door, down the stairs and push to the dumpster! Seriously, I haven't even been home, and stayed in my bedroom, checking every inch, did he really think I was going to help him with that thing? Sorry, but no, it wasn't going to happen captain!

Today:
B - Western egg white w/ ham and light wheat from subway, small apple, 1 cup coffee, water (6:30 a.m)
S - chopped celery ( 1 cup) 4 slices of tomato, nonfat ranch
L - will be turkey club sandwich from subway, light mayo, veggies, water
S - Either large navel orange, small apple, or cucumber slices, maybe cucumber slices and one of the fruit
D - Undecided

Exercise plan for today:

Walking the city park with the kids, cleaning while playing music

You're doing AWESOME, dude. Seriously inspiring. 9 hours walking is insane! I'd be exhausted! Keep up the brilliant work. We're all here cheering you on! xx

wow njoyabl, nine hours of walking, you sure burned some serious calories
during that time

no doubt, walking is KING for fat loss, and the most underrated exercise
for creating "irreversible, long-term weight loss success"

AlexPlatus,

I totally think that you are right. I haven't really thought about it, but I remember a few years back I lost about 17 pounds, and all I did was walk the school track with my mother everyday after school to keep her company. I guess it is underrated because it seems effortless but you never realize how much walking can benefit you weightwise once you get settled into a lifestyle and work habits that restrict more. I have decided to dedicate myself to walking as much as possible, especially on those days that I cannot get to the gym. My children love being outside, so it is good for all of us, and putting my baby to sleep.

My daughter used to love going for walks but now she just wants to go to the park, I found a jungle gym workout but when I am alone with both kids I can't so it! Good job on all the workout you do...As an ABS workout I suck my stomach in when I go up and down the stairs!

LOL Njoyabl you are so funny!! I don't blame you at all!

You are doing so great this week, you are totally motivating me to get my act together and keep up with you. Your breakfast sounded so yummy this morning, I got an egg white breakfast sandwhich from them last week and ate it in my office- BIG mistake, it smelled like eggs in here for a week! Tasted good though lol. I'm glad baby feel asleep early last night to help you get a little extra rest, hopefully it turns into a routine. Your doing great, keep it up.

Juni - I had absolutely no weightloss plans for the weekend, and it was absolutely ridiculous.

Lisa - quote, unquote what I said to Juni, but hey, I did have fun being ridiculous!

Okay, so has anyone heard of the new triple cheese burger at McDonalds? Okay, yeah, after a friday night of drinking with the girls and just hanging out playing cards and chit chatting with daquiris, the next morning I gave my friend a ride, and she was getting one of these burgers, and they were 2 for $3, so I go one. I don't even like McDonalds, but for some reason I just needed to taste it. Disgusting, but it was good. After this, I had not ever realized that I had eaten nothing else all day, so when it was time to go out later that night, I didn't want to drink on an empty stomach and end up getting sick, so, as I was not driving, my girlfriends went to McDonalds. (What?, yes, that's what I said, don't judge me!)! I got a double. We went to a club that I'd been to in the past, and it was the worst, absolutely the worst. I was cute tho, had on a little black dress that flattered my body type. My confidence was so on the roof ladies. The atmosphere was aweful. I had a shot mixed with one of those monster energy drinks, and drank 1/4 th of a beer, probably not even that. We left early. They stopped to taco bell afterward. I only took a bite of a quisadilla. That's it, I swear!

On sunday, I got two messages on my cell phone from my son's friend Trinity whom I promised a play date with, so I peeled myself out of bed, and pick her up. I spent a whooping $33 dollars and some change just for us to watch a movie at the theater, Shrek 3D. That is so ridiculous the prices to go to the movies these days. I remember in high school that was a cheap enjoyable date, and now it is barely worth it. That's why I like the redbox. I bought them a drink, and some nachos, that I mainly wanted. Shared them with the kids. After this I took them to play in the play center, then I was called about a bbq I was supposed to bring drinks for. I took my lil cousin/ babysitter to pick up her friend, with no air in the car. Stopped by the bbq with the drinks. Took the kids, plus my niece, and my friends's 2 kids, and paid the sitter to my house, ordered them pizza, and went back to the bbq wear we ate fruit salad (adult) had martinis, which I only had one, cuz I wasn't in the mood to drink, just like saturday, but did enjoy, yummy greens, baked mac n cheese, baked beans w/ hamburger and sausage, and pork chop. There was much more but that is what I had. We played spades and Taboo.

On to Monday. Well, I ate a leftover plate that I shared with my kids. Had a soda that I shared with my son that doesn't really drink soda, and really stayed lazy with the baby in bed watching tv and sleeping. Later that day, their father needed a ride because of a flat tire and wanted 2 triples from McDonalds. I got my son a happy meal. (He only eats the fries and plays with the toy, but I had nothing home). I ordered nothing for myself. Later, I guess I just didn't have an appetite because I just never felt hungry. Later that night past 10, I wanted something to eat, and there was a triple left in the bag on the table. Why did I eat it? I don't know why. This is where I felt extremely bad about my weekend.

Tuesday update:
Waking up this morning, my face was greasy, and I had like 6 whiteheads that I assume came from that nasty ass greasy triple cheese burger I decided to eat late night. I scrubbed with exfoliate, and though red, got rid of those. I feel plump. I'll weigh myself tomorrow.

B - western egg white omelet on wheat from subway, orange juice
S - one hard boiled egg, apple (small)
L - Turkey club on wheat, light mayo, fuze drink (5 calories per serving (2 servings per bottle))
S - one hard boiled egg, apple (small)
D - 4 oz turkey breast, mixed veggies, brown rice

Honestly, I don't feel like eating at all, not sure what to do. We had a nutritionist at work on Administrative professionals day that actually said, if you are not hungry then don't eat. She said the multi meal thru the day thing was a myth. Really? I've researched the opposite. I asked her about that slowing down your metabolism, again she said myth. I don't know. I'm going walking today, and I hope to get to the gym to do the eliptical.

Okay, give it to me, and don't be easy....................
