maybe i might start some kind of thread about beginning weight routines, but i'm no expert. I know what seems to work for me. I tend to like free weights and compound lifts (as in lifts that work more than one muscle group at a time), and the routine i do is pretty simple really, although the form is important to get right. I used to use the machines, and they do good things too, but i tend to stay away from them now.
Speaking of which, i did a "b" workout today.
Seated leg press - 5x5x355 (+5lbs)
overhead press - 5x5x85
rack pulls - 2x5x315
lat pulldowns - 3xfx195 (+5lbs) 8/7/6
planks - 3x60 sec (+5sec) this is a new p/b
cardio - 25 minutes, hiit (including warmup and cooldown) peak h/r upper 158-160 each interval.
