So you don't think I'm dumb, you should know I'm always using an app on my phone to post, and the options are limited/different.... I just logged in through a regular browser and now I see the delete option clearly

Thank you guys for making me feel good about saving the world, one drunken hockey fan at a time! Everyone else thinks I was just risking my life, but I was within shouting distance of a heavily populated cab stand. And that means there were enough people around to justify a heavily populated cab stand.

It's funny you offered me a rake, LJ because I tend to enjoy getting outside and shoveling a bit after our snowstorms. Which seems odd to both my boyfriend and downstairs neighbors because our landlord pays people to shovel.

Shoveling/raking is something I enjoy too, probably because I don´t have to do it regularly... Good Samaritans are rare, so you be careful not to lose us another one!
Evenings out should be part of normal life (and this whole thing should be "normal", not a diet, right?), so I hope you enjoyed it ;)

Good for you helping a poor drunkard. I must admit, I'd probably have been too frightened to help. Binge drinkers are everywhere here! But still...you did the right thing :) And the calories won't do any major harm so long as you watch your intake and exercise.
Hope you manage to get a run in, shame about the cruddy weather :(

Not at all. Even on the regular site I don't think the delete feature is very intuitive.

Here I thought you were a good Samaritan and now I find out that you steal work from laborers.:biggrinjester:

In Texas if it snows enough that you need a shovel you stay home. Actually you don't need that much since we have no salt trucks or plows. It usually only lasts a couple days here if we get it at all.

As an Oklahoman I know what you mean, Q! Here you get three feet of snow and the next day everything is fine. Back home 10 inches closes roads for a week, if it isn't warm enough to melt. I do remember getting ice storms, though. Never had to shovel the driveway but I do recall hacking at the ice with a shovel.

My fruits are dehydrating! 3 bananas, 3 apples, 1 peach, and 1 tray of strawberry fruit leather. The raspberries grew mold in the fridge the day after I bought them. I'll have to attempt those another time.

I bet your kitchen smells yummy. I love my dehydrator. I need to break it out. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. I've not tried fruit leather, but I made some pretty decent tofu jerky and venison jerky. I probably do fruit tomorrow. Too bad the raspberries grew beards.

The fruit leather requires some practice..... Attempt #1 was too crispy, attempt #2 was too sticky. Maybe the third time will be the charm? In any case the house DID smell delicious, and I now have this beautiful mason jar full of deliciousness.

Q, I haven't tried to make jerky yet but I want to! LJ passed along some info for me and if the boyfriend hadn't just ordered pounds of it online I would be planning it soon!

Those raspberries are little divas, aren't they??? I read somewhere that storing them in glass jars keeps them from growing beards too soon, but I read that after their 5 o'clock shadows.

Well, it has now been a week since the last time I had a 'sneaky eating' episode. Which is pretty amazing for me. I'm not going to say the urge wasn't there. Once I spent a half hour under a blanket on the couch in my business casual wardrobe, refusing to change clothes because you have to pass the kitchen to go to the bedroom.

Thursday night was my night out. Friday night (Halloween) I had one drink with some apple pie schnapps. Yesterday I had one beer and a few glasses of wine. I've got a cold and haven't been snacking as much at night because I've just been going to bed earlier. Last night we went to bed at 10 and got up at 7:30. With daylight savings time that felt like 8:30. That's a LOT of sleep!

Omnomnom... Not sure about glass jars for raspberries, though, wouldn´t that make for even moister air/quicker growth? Your blanket fort against temptation might be the best idea ever :D

Just had a ridiculous craving for chocolate (which makes total sense, actually, because I'll be a girl doing what girls do any day now). I was contemplating slathering my homemade chocolate graham crackers in marshmallow fluff and chocolate chips, but there is an abundance of each of those ingredients in my house. Danger danger danger. My compromise was making one of those single serve microwave brownie recipes, which I was able to give away a few bites of. That definitely satisfied the craving, and leaves me with no leftovers to worry about. And chocolate makes me insanely thirsty, so I'll be hydrating the rest of the night.

Isn't chocolate supposed to make you want milk? I only want water when I eat sweets.

Exercise this weekend was nonexistent. Whoops :( The weather was gross, wet and cold and snowy. Not pretty fluffy snow, either, I'm holding out for the good stuff. A run outside wasn't happening, but I definitely could have gotten an indoor workout in.

Tomorrow morning, bright and early wakeup call. Mondays are typically not a gym day for me, but this week it will be! I'm going to be tired anyway, I might as well be tired and worked out.

I don't know what marshmellow fluff is, but it sounds delicious!
Well done on the microwave brownie - especially if there is no left overs to tempt you. Give yourself a high-five for making a better choice. :)

Your jar of deliciousness looks amazing!!

You may find the workout wakes you up? Let us know how you go with the workout :)

It´s a good thing I don´t have a microwave - I´d be eating cakes in mugs three times a day! But I won´t heat up the oven for one portion and I won´t make larger amounts (very much the same problem you´d have) so now there is no cake. If only I could say the same for chocolate...

I don't know what marshmellow fluff is, but it sounds delicious!

Fluff is spreadable sugar, basically.... It's light and airy and used here in some quick fudge recipes, and also eaten on sandwiches with peanut butter. Which is terribly unhealthy, but such a guilty pleasure!

LaMa, I've always wondered how easy it would be to go without a microwave. Did you ever have one? I don't feel like I use it for much, but then I probably just don't realize all the little times I do. This was one of those times I'm glad I could use it, though!

Awesome work fighting the temptation for a whole week! I think the term "blanket fort against temptation" might be my favorite phrase of the week - and it's only Monday!

A week is a huge milestone. Keep the blanket fort, but soon the new habit will be firmly set and you will be free to slide around on the kitchen floor in your socks with no fear. Nicely done!

I hope the gym went well. The run for me this morning has me feeling great. I'm sleepy, but I feel really good. Normal Mondays are just the sleepy with little of the good.

Living without a microwave is not a big deal (for me). I grew up without one (we got our first fridge when I was 16, we used to have a cellar and a freezer), had one for a couple of years because it was included in my appartments and now don´t have one because it isn´t. I really only miss it for tiny cakes and melting butter/lard...
