The Journey of a one legged fat guy

Well, today I find myself in an interesting place. Ive won the bet I was in, biggest loser is over and I find myself searching for something to drive me onward. This must sound odd, but I feel like Im not going to make it because 2 of my main motivators are out of the picture. I am still doing my routine, but I feel like Ive lost my zest. I find myself not as concerned about the weightloss now. Maybe its just the let down after all of the pressure. It would be nice if I could find another partner to do another competition with. I dont want to stop now, Ive never been this far and I want to be thin. AAAAaaahhhhh!!!! (frustration yell) Im still at least 5 pounds away from 200 pounds and 2 1/2 weeks to go. I need to make it. I just want the stupid fat blubber off of my stomach!!! I need to do this, I cant give up. I have to be 170. I have to be thin. I need to keep going. :banghead:

Sorry for the rant guys. I just needed to let off some steam, to the only people I know that understand what Im going through.

You need to think of something because you're a competitive person. They're currently working on season five of BL, so push to get the weight off before the season starts. How fun would it be to watch it at your target weight! Did your buddy ever show up to work in pink spandex?

Thats a great idea. Do you know when the season starts again?

Did your buddy ever show up to work in pink spandex?

Not yet, we are working on that ;) Should have some pictures for you soon.

Coffeebro... I'm game for something since we're in practically identical situations. You want to see who can lose the most weight in May?

Weigh in tomorrow and post weekly numbers and the final on the 31st?

I'm insane for getting into such a challenge with a guy who loses an average of 4 lbs/week but you want competition and I need a challenge. :D You in?

What's up Bro! Thanks for stopping by my place and saying hello. It's nice to meet new people on here.

Just read your intro. You are doing amazing!!! wow, I'm impressed. Nothing like a little friendly competition to get you motivated and on track. I'll have to read on to see how the challenge is going.

Keep up the good work. You are making it look easy! I bet you feel amazing with that weight off you.

I was listening to Jillian's radio show and she said they're currently working on season 5. Will be out in Sept., I'm thinking...

Very good! That will be just in time for me to hit my final goal. Im thinking of going down to 160. You guys think thats too low? Note, I am 5'-10" large bone structure and I am missing my right leg below the knee.

It may be, or it might not - I think you will have to evaluate that as you get closer.

My original goal is/was 150 but I have no idea what I will look like at that weight so I will have to see if I want to go lower.

:seeya: Hi from Canada!
congratulations on your weight loss so far! I find your story very inspiring, as you have some odds against you that most of us don't - yet you set your goal and have determined to reach it. If you're interested, I'll just be there would be a periodical or two who would like to print your story and encourage others to "just do it!".

Best wishes as you continue your journey,
ABBA

Okay, so I screwed up my metabolism this week. As you
know I have been a contest to lose weight. Well, I did a
extreme crash on Sunday by cutting my calories to around 1200
and doing almost 2 hours of cardio that night. Then the next morning
I did another 45 mins of cardio. As you know I won, but not without screwing up my system. By complete accident I left my calories too low for Monday and Tuesday also. My body when into starvation mode and gain 2 pounds back. It locked up and wouldnt lose any weight until today. I had to pump up my calories to get my body to listen again. Not a great idea, I know, but I had to win.

I have 17 more days to lose 6 more pounds for my birthday. So at this point it is doable but it will be a challenge. To add to the fire Fish and I are now in a challenge to see who can lose more weight in May. Bring it on Fish!!

The last couple of days have been great workouts. Wednesday I did light cardio, but great upper body work. Im sore, which is rare for me now. Yesterday I ran 2 1/2 miles in 30 mins with a great lower body workout.
Tuesday morning I set me new mile record at 9 mins 12 sec. Not bad for a one legged fat guy.

No workout today though. I had a procedure done on my arm and was told to take it easy today. Bummer since it doesnt hurt much. Well, tomorrow then.

I'm trying to stay awake listening someone drone on on aconference call

mmmm reeses, I like your shirt

I don't think 160 is too low, but then again, not sure how much you compensate for the missing leg weight. I would think a leg from below the knee would be at least 10 pounds, but I guess that depends on bone weight and muscle. I'm so inspired by your dedication and motivation. You're making it look easy.
