Don and Cory, it was a nice day, but I'm pooped. My feet and legs are sore, I'm sunburned, and I have to do it again tomorrow. Too much of a good thing at times. I shouldn't gripe, I'm out of the swamps so it's mostly walking and very little shoveling and slogging.
 
Pretty tough day today. I think it will be done soon. We will finish our section tomorrow, but the jerks I'm subcontracting for now want us to do the wet section of their end of the pipeline since they haven't gotten as much done as we did.

Full exercise and water points.
 
Sounds like you have a pretty tough job, but I'm sure it's a big help in getting you to your goal. I hope you have a great day out there today. :)

Don I've been having fruits and vegetables every day.

If I don't get a decent bonus and raise after this I'm gonna coast like it's a pine box derby. They'll throw me a bone. It won't be what I deserve, but it will be something.

I may have gotten out of helping with their crappy part by finding my own crappy part and not finishing my section today.

3 DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!
 
Well I slept in as planned. I had to fish a rotting dead squirrel out of the wall of my shed today. That was super gross. Hopefully I don't end up with some weird disease from it.

I charged up my motorcycles battery last night as it's been over a year since I've touched it. I gave it a good washing, checked the fluids and topped off the tires and I'm happy to say that it fired right up. I went for a 50 min ride on some curvy backroads and it was great! I don't feel like I've done anything just for me and just for fun in a while. My riding jacket was looser than the last time I wore it and I didn't have any problem with my sciatica riding which was why I stopped riding it in the first place.

My weight was up this morning, but there is still hope for tomorrow.
 
I have a desk job so I can't imagine working out in the field like you do. It sounds like a great way to help lose weight, but it also sounds very hard and tiring. I hope you get a decent bonus. :)

Oh.... and I'm very jealous that you get a 3 day weekend!! I hope you enjoy your time off. :)
 
Well I push mowed the whole lawn and pulled a dozen 3 foot sections of rebar out of the ground. I'm officially pooped.

Mandy I worked in a lab for years. I switched careers and assumed having an active job would help me lose weight. I'm in much better shape and weigh 75 pounds less than my heaviest, but I'm still too big. Still working on it.
 
Not too big. I have ten acres but it's mostly forest. It took an hour and 45 minutes to mow the whole thing. An acre at most.
 
Ten acres! Must be amazing to have so much land! Consider me jealous as it sit in my 700 sq ft apartment in the city!

Also, that's great to hear about your motorcycle! Sometimes you just need to take that time for yourself...it's amazing what that can do.

Camila, I miss everything the city has to offer, but I grew up in the woods and that's why I changed careers and moved back to this backwater from Seattle. I have to drive 6 hours to see decent live music. The closest place with a decent restaurant selection is a 2.5 hour drive.

What I do have is quiet, privacy and freedom. If I choose to run around naked firing guns in the air no one will haul me away to a nutty bin. I don't do that but I could. Or do I? No one knows for sure! I do pee in the yard. Don't judge me it conserves water and I use it to drive off fire ants in my yard which keeps me from using poison. Yes I'm a little weird.
 
I live in a similar area, Quercus. Why the hell the dudes like peeing in the yard so much? Both my brother and my dad do it.

Is this a common past time of yours, or do you save it for special occasions?
 
my sons pee outside often lol, but like you we have plenty of space (14 acres) and no neighbours nearby. :D and water conservation is important when you rely on tank water.
 
I have to admit that at one point we rented a house in Seattle that had a privacy fence that had trees on the neighbor's side and I used to pee outside then too. I grew up on 50 acres of woods at the end of a dirt road with no neighbors. That's why I'm a Biologist. That's why I'm socially dysfunctional. That's why I don't pee indoors.

I won't even breech the topic of bathroom circumstances when you're working a project that's in the woods all day every day except to say that a ziplock bag with TP and hand sanitizer is just part of the equipment.
