The big oak (Quercus) needs to drop some dead limbs!

Thanks Mands! I had to buy a sketch pad to make that drawing. I haven't drawn anything in over a year, but nature is generally the theme and insects are a passion of mine.

I hope things are going well for you. The proposed taxes your Prez is suggesting seem crazy.

Also, Mands the dog and goat pictures from your website made me laugh. You have some great photos for sure!

I love the frog picture! Frogs are some of my favorite animals. I'm so excited because I've been hearing spring peepers lately.

I like frogs too. I've seen thousands during this project lately as the weather has warmed and today's cold snap made me think of how the green tree frogs huddle up when it's cold so I found a couple photos and sketched it.

I've never seen a green tree frog in person. I'm not sure I have them where I live. Pretty sure it gets too cold. I don't suppose they're found in Appalachia?

Yup. I'm too far north. We have a ton of these guys, though. These are the peepers. Have them in Texas?

They're adorable and have the most relaxing call. I love listening to them in the spring and early summer.

Yep, plenty of those little guys. One of my sounds of childhood along with bullfrogs, crickets, bobwhites, and whippoorwills.

324.8 this morning which is up a little. I drank 3.5 liters of water in the field today and ate well so hopefully tomorrow will be better on the scale. Tons of walking today. About 7 hours actually in field and mostly on foot.

That's some hard work you're doin'. And some excellent artistic skills. I decided to test out some of my drawing skills, what do you think? (it's a rough sketch right now, not quite finished).

I'm thinking that with your schedule and the strenuous kind of work you do, maybe only a once per week weigh-in might be best? Your day to day weigh-ins are going to be all over the place because of the water retention issue. At least, only take the 1x per week weigh-in seriously.

Mr. Vee: Well we're both skinny. I like that!

Don: I'll be using the tape to keep me grounded, but yeah probably.

Mr. Vee, which one of those things is the frog? I mean....I see a frog labelled, but....

Quercus, it sounds like we had the similar childhood sound tracks. I'm impressed over the 7 hours in the field. Wow.

HAHA ! Loving that drawing!

You are doing tons of exercise Quercus (in the field)! You ll be super fit by summer!!

Another field day mostly on foot. I'm beat. Probably covered 5 miles through the woods.

We had a kitten and a puppy follow us today. The kitten wised up rather quickly, but the puppy followed us for a long time until she got tired and laid down for a nap. She was waiting there when we came back 2 hours later. She was settling down for another nap when we left her at her home.

We also saw 4 rabbits and about 10 deer today. A nice critter day and lots of distance made. :)
