newleaf your in a team with 2 aussies :), as for time differences acording to the net Virginia is GMT -5 and here in Queensland it is GMT +10 so I am 15 hours ahead (we don't have daylight savings time here in QLD. the time zone is different again for sheidi i believe.

yup, newleaf, i'm another aussie :) i live in canberra, our capital city - about 3 hours drive south of sydney :) one of my brothers lives in LA and i think they are like 4 hours ahead of us timewise (although also a day behind).

its been so hot, today is 34 degrees celcius (sorry newleaf, i'm not quite sure how to make that farenheit - probably around 90 i think?) and bushfire season is in full force. i'm not a summer person, bring on winter!

at least it might be helping to melt some pounds off :D

what's virginia like? i imagine it to be leafy and have great big houses :) i've been to the US a few times, but only to LA and once to New York. i'd love to travel around there a bit more, but usually i just go to visit my bro..

Hi gals! Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I had to drive to LA for an interview early in the morning, then went to Beverly Hills to visit a friend, didn't get home until 2am this morning. I am about to meet a friend for a drink in a bit. I didn't eat that good, but I didn't eat that bad. Tomorrow will be a good day with diet and exercise. I'll post more then. I'm glad you all are doing so great.

So are we down one member? Just curious. Have a great weekend!!

ok 34 C = 93 F it is only 21(70) degrees here today because of the rain. also like sheidi i have only seen very little of the US, I have spent time in hawaii and LA. Sheidi, I spent 10 years living in canberra and still have family down there, I sooo miss the ice rink in phillip, the broomball is such great exercize :)

oh i wish it would rain here! it did a few days a go, but it feels like centuries now :D

you lived in canberra, trusylver? whereabouts? i'm in narrabundah at the moment, but grew up in aranda. i've lived all over town though, group houses and whatnot when i was younger. i like it here as everything is pretty close. i lived o/s for about ten years out of the last 14, so i feel like i'm rediscovering oz :D i only got my first car a year ago, so i'm trying to get about and see all i can. its great being near the coast and near the mountains. where in queensland are you?

hi miss jb! its hard to stay on track when you are driving for hours and hours - i'm sure you'll get sorted now you're home - i'm cheering you on :D

when i first moved to canberra for study i was in holt but spent time in aranda for a while, i was living in the units next to belconnen mall when i married my hubby and we were living in palmerston before moving to QLD. my mum lives in macgregor.

i live on 14 acres halfway between Gympie (aka helltown) and Fraser Island.

Thanks sheidi!

Today was much better. I worked out at the gym. 1 hour of cardio, then 30 minutes of resistance training.

I didn't each much today. I wasn't that hungry, probably because I ate late last night.

Anyhow, overall it was a good day. Good luck to everyone tomorrow! Let's go team!

Exellent work on the exercize MJ thats fantastic, keep up the great work.

Go Team :D

wow, an hour and a half - fantastic, miss j!

trusylver, i lived in macgregor for about a year once :D whre you are sounds gorgeous, love to have a property. the countryside there must be beautiful.

happy to report that i've been to the gym today and eaten quite well - yay to our team!

Wow ok I'm slacking off! Wowzers wha ta time difference for you Aussie's compared to us states girls!!

Virginia is possibly 40F if we're lucky today, so its cold, wet and rainy! Not cold enough to freeze luckily (at least not yet!) We don't see too much of a snowy winter here, (as it is our winter season) but it may still come upon us soon. I live near the mountains, so its yes very leafy, very hilly, and well pretty down right gorgeous to be honest! But I'm a little biased. ;)

Alright ladies.. I kind of slacked off this weekend, I apologize. I wasn't ALL out bad, but I wasn't great either. Its that TOM for me and I was craving food like ma d and just wanted to eat CONSTANTLY!! But right now.. I'm a little irked. I've seen so many other people with my weight issues dropping pounds left and right and its gotten me down right pissed. That my teeny slipups here and there are really fouling up my weight loss. So I am MORE THAN determined to shed some weight off, hopefully my Thrusday, lol our first weigh-in one week weigh in?? I think. Also, that day is my birthday, and I wanted to be down 5 lbs. so far I'm 4lbs short of that goal! BUT, who knows.. what it'll bel ike on the scales during this time of month!!

So.. Get ready for a reared up ticked off NewLeaf.. lol :D I can't let this get me!! I've got a wedding dress to wear by golly!!

You all sound like you are doing great, so keep up the wonderful work, and keep on my butt too!!!

Keep at it newleaf your ARE going to get there, we won't let you fail :)

tody will be a day on catching up on work but i have rugby training at the gym tonight but not sure how intense or even what exercize will be involve as we have never been to the gym as a team before. The gym i go to is one of the team sponsors this season. Go the Gympie Gold Diggers and

GO TEAM HURRAH

you are hardcore with the rugby training :D yay to the gympie gold diggers!

btw, why did you refer to gympie as 'helltown'? my knowledge of your neck of the woods isn't very good :D

good luck with the training!

gympie (originally called nashville) has a bad rep and was named Hell Town by penthouse magazine refering to the highest murder rate in the country at the time. The anti gun lobby also calls it Hell Town.

You can even buy the bumper sticker lol

lots of red necks and weirdo's call the area home. I actually like the area but wouldnt be able to stand living in town either gympie or rainbow beach/tin can bay and i think i fit into the weirdo category :D but shooting things is fun to.

Thank you guys!! You all sound like you are doing so great and I really appreciate reading about it! :) I had a great day at the gym, and I'm very pleased with my eating!! :)

great work newleaf keep it up :D

I have just had lunch but still feel half starved :( this is the worst day i have had for a while, i even took it out on my punch bag but it didn't help much.

you should totally get the bumper sticker :D

i'm more comfy with weirdos most of the time, never shot anything except my mouth off - oh and i got a bullseye the one time i tried archery as a kid, must be because i'm sagittarius :D

maybe some fruit or something? if you have recently upped your training you might need a bit more than usual...just a thought..

you'll be okay, a few glasses of water or some nice fat free snack and you'll feel better i hope :)

Chewing gum!! Newbride reminded me of that nifty thing, try that to curb y our appetite.

Another tip I use, is one from my mom, who would remind me, everytime I felt a wee bit of hunger I could think fo it as 1/10th of a pound gone. :D lol.. Just a different perspective!
