Starting Over

Yesterday's Calories: 1353 (A bit low)

I went to the gym and managed to burn 700 calories. The goal was 800 but I got there an hour late and had to get back home and help H pack for our trip. Even though I took three days off and ate like a pic for TG I still lost a pound. If TG hadn't happened, I would probably be down 3lbs. I've lost 4lbs in 3 1/2 weeks so I am now losing about a lb a week. FINALLY!!!!!

I think the synthroid finally kicked in because my hair is no longer falling out and is growing like crazy. It has grown over an inch in a month! People keep saying "Wow your hair is getting so long!" Also, the weight is budging. Yay!

This weekend will be hard on the calories because we will be on the road for so long. I packed snack packs for me along the way and will get fruit or salad for lunch and dinner. Fast food is pretty much the only option on these monthly trips. 13 hours is a long time in a car so we don't stop unless we have to.

It's friday!!!

all sorts of good things going on that's great...

Yes Missy, pack those nutritional snacks!! GREAT JOB on the lost weight again, I'm so happy things are going your way!! Keep it up!! And have a wonderful weekend if I don't talk to you before then.

HUGS!

Snipped these quotes, because it truly shows how good of a person you are:

This is why I plan to go to law school in a couple of years. I have studied so much the past two years on family law that I could probably recite it to you. It's disgusting what some people get away with just because the system is flawed.

We will be moving to St. Louis in about two years (H didn't take the Coast Guard job) for my H's job. We were supposed to move next summer but he has been asked to set up the WIC (Weapons School) for this new airplane he flies. It is a HUGE opportunity for him so we have to stay here for now. I plan to go when we move to St. Louis. I really want to go now but it's just not the right time. Besides I have an awesome job I love so it's not too bad. I have led a blessed life when it comes to my career. I just hope it stays that way, especially in law school.

I honestly believe you are one of THE most kind-hearted individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. From your stellar relationship with your children and husband to your amazing volunteer work in your community... you blow me away, girl. For someone who has so much on her plate, you make things look so damn easy. I just wanted to give you a bit of proppity props, doll. Love yas!

Well that is great that the weight is coming off regularly. I bet eating more at TG actually helped the whole thing.

Hope the trip goes well. It really shows your dedication :).

WRT to the prior post, I only speak the truth, girl. :hug2:

I hope everything goes well in Ohio, doll. Be safe and I'll talk to you soon.

-Sheryl

Thanks Sheryl.

The visit with my SS was very nice. We all had a great time together. We watched him in a parade and spent the rest of the time making homemade christmas ornaments. The getting there in back is what sucked. Sean broke his finger by slamming it in the door and we had a tire blow out on the way home. I'll elaborate more later. My head is pounding and feels like it may explode. Gonna go take some tylenol and lay my head down for a bit.

Ciao!

Hey honey,

I got your PM. If you need to rant, then I'm the right bitch for the job. haha :hug2: I'm happy to hear things went well in Ohio.. well with the exception of poor Sean's broken finger. Yikes! I hope you start feeling better, dollface. Love yas.

PS That new av is just darling!!!!

I'm glad the Ohio trip went well aside from Sean's finger and the tire blow out.

That's fantastic that you want to do to law school. I know you'll do great!

I agree with everything Sheryl said on the previous page. You are supermom/wife/stepmom/employee/volunteer/gymrat. :D

I hope your headache goes away quickly. :ack2:

Thanks so much ladies. I have such a long story from this weekend but I don't have time right now to get into the details. I get off work in 30 minutes an plan on being at the gym for 2 hours tonight. I'll try to sit down at the computer when I get home tonight and tell you what my SS's mother is up to now. And my personal dilemma. You know, sometimes I HATE my conscience!

Here's some pics of our weekend. It was 23 degrees and it started sleeting on us during SS's parade. Brrrrr!

Aren't my little ones darling?

Those are lovely pics, the kids are so gorgeous! I really admire you Amy, to me you really do come across as superwoman, what with the kiddies, the job and you still have time to devote to so many charity functions.

Rest assured that regardless of what happens, SS will always keep in mind how much yall love him that you would drive so far on a regular basis to see him. He may not get this now, but as he gets older he will begin to understand this and will look back with fond memories of your weekends together, with a full recognition of the sacrifices you and Sean have made. I'm sure these visits mean a lot to him now but as he gets older and understands his feelings and things better, this will mean even more to him.

Amy, I was gonna ask you what kind of aircraft Sean flies. My dad is a flying nut, used to fly a little in his younger years. So I've kinda grown up hearing about planes. He has a flight simulator thing on his computer that is pretty cool. He plays it all the time. Man, if I was married to an air force pilot my dad would go apeshit...lmao.

Thanks Claud. I don't feel like a superwoman at all. I am naturally a hyper person and have ADD so I manage to stay busy. Sitting down and relaxing doesn't come easy to me.

I truly hope Wyatt realizes how much we love him. He's is scary smart like his dad so he is very mature for his age. Plus, Sean and I are very affectionate people so he gets hugged alot and we have "family cuddle time" when we watch movies.

Sean flies a C130J. It's a new airplane. It looks like a regular C130 but that's pretty much the only thing that's the same between the two. It's 25ft longer, faster and has way more capabilities.

I have to listen about airplanes all the time too. Sean knows how to fly a bunch of different ones so he never runs out of new stuff. His family has a history of aviators. His dad, my late FIL was a retired Lt. Colonel and a helicopter pilot in the Korean and Vietnam war. My oldest BIL is a Blackhawk Pilot in the Army and is a Major. My second oldest BIL is a Major in the USAF and works with advanced weaponry aircraft (one has a laser for a gun). Another BIL isn't a pilot but is a paratrooper and a medical officer in the Army. My father is retired Army so he LOVES my husband, especially when he flies the plane really low over my parent's farm.

I know MANY MANY single AF pilots that are looking for Ms. Right. Hmmm...

If you and the H ever split, we will have to talk. ;)

I will be off the WLF for most of the day. I just got off a conference call with my Canstruction committee and I and a TON of stuff to do by tomorrow. I will be in San Antonio on Thursday for the weekend so I am having to rush. I'll update everyone later!!
