Starting Over

I am friggin' beat!!! This third trimester feels like I've hit a brick wall. I have suddenly started suffering from insomnia and am now tired often. However, this has not kept me form being active and working out. I just have to push through it each day.

I still eating well most of the time. I've been craving chips lately but try to limit them to small portions. So far I haven't had any trouble with swelling, I'm thrilled! Last time I had cankles throughout the entire pregnancy. I am keeping my muscle tone and my stamina is holding at 20-30 minutes on the elliptical/arctrainer/treadmill which is about 2-3 miles. This makes me incredibly happy since I couldn't do 5 minutes on any of those after having Bella. LOL! I was so sick with her that I lost all muscle tone and stamina I had before. It was rough building it back up!

Awesome news! A few months ago we had to order the dress for my friend's wedding in September. We ordered it a lot bigger to allow for my belly and any added weight. I picked it up on Thursday and I could pull it up over the belly and everything without even unzipping it! Woot! It's so big on me that we have to order a smaller dress because it would be impossible to take this one in, there'd be too much to cut away. Apparently they size dresses according to waist size so they ordered me a size 22. I wore a SIZE 10 before getting pregnant!! According to all my clothing, I am still a size 10 except for the belly so they are going to have to order a 14 or 16 then take the bust in to allow the rest to flow around my midsection.

I am now looking forward to this wedding. The dress is beautiful and will look great as a maternity. She is one of my closest friends and this wedding will be beautiful!!

Here's a pic of the dress.

I love, love that dress! It's going to look gorgeous on you! Sounds like this pregnancy is going pretty well for you, that's great news!

Your body will slow down when it's ready, so don't you worry! Your doing great, keep up the good work, and rest when you need too!

Hope to see you soon!
Kim

Thanks Kim! It's hard to get any rest with a toddler. She crawled into bed with me at 2 this morning then hogged all the covers and pillows. LOL!!

Just left the doc. The baby is doing great and I am up only 20.8lbs for this pregnancy. Woot!!! I have 11 weeks left and he said I should gain .5-1.0 lb each week for now on. So I'm on schedule for about 32lbs total. Yay!!! Shouldn't take long to get that weight right back off after birth.

I also love that dress--stunning! You will look so fab in it!! Can't wait to see pics.

Re the insomnia, how about taking a benadryl or ambien? They are safe for preggo women to take. benadryl was my best friend at times. You need your sleep--important for the baby's well being as much as yours. :)

I'm actually looking forward to wearing the dress. It'll be nice to get so dressed up, especially in the last month of this pregnancy. It's a good time for a self esteem boost!

The doc gave me Ambien this week. It's what I used when I was pregnant last time, but I'm cutting it in half. I still have to wake up for Bella if she is crying in the middle of the night. It's much more exhausting being pregnant while caring for and chasing a toddler around!

Happy birthday.

I hope that you are having fun.

I wonder whether the new baby wants to be born today to join in the celebrations... :)

Good Luck! Not that you will need it. Losing 10lbs with hyperthyroidism is very admirable! It would have been wrecking havoc with your mood as well from what I understand!

All the best! :D
