I have to listen about airplanes all the time too. Sean knows how to fly a bunch of different ones so he never runs out of new stuff. His family has a history of aviators. His dad, my late FIL was a retired Lt. Colonel and a helicopter pilot in the Korean and Vietnam war. My oldest BIL is a Blackhawk Pilot in the Army and is a Major. My second oldest BIL is a Major in the USAF and works with advanced weaponry aircraft (one has a laser for a gun). Another BIL isn't a pilot but is a paratrooper and a medical officer in the Army. My father is retired Army so he LOVES my husband, especially when he flies the plane really low over my parent's farm.

I know MANY MANY single AF pilots that are looking for Ms. Right. Hmmm...

Last night on the History channel they had a show about Vietnam War dogfights. It was really cool.

If I get divorced, I will definitely get in touch with you RE the single AF pilots. :D But they will have to be at least 34 and ready to become fathers. :sifone:

The younger pilots don't have time for relationships so all the available ones are 30+ and ready to settle down and have kids. My H is 32. All our single friends are 32+. :D
 
By the way, the flight suits are facking HOT! There's no question as to what Sean has to wear on "role playing" night. He's always the "Naughty Pilot". Ha!
 
Hey Amy, I was just catching up. Let me add to the chorus--you've got a great looking family. I'm sorry for the problems with the SS's mom. I know that a lot of people I know seem to be having problems with their exes or SO's exes regarding children right now.

Thanks Cannon. I'm sure our problem is common. There's so many people out there who put their stupid selfish needs before their children. They come first. If your not willing to do that then you shouldn't have kids.

Weekend Update:

The visit with SS was wonderful but he told us some stuff that wasn't so good. Apparently their phone, cable and water got shut off because she didn't pay the bills. ALso, he said she doesn't even have enough money for food. Nice huh? A 35 year old woman who gets $900/month in child support from us can't keep a job or pay her bills. She bought 2 fucking alpacas and a miniature horse a month ago and can't even afford to feed them let alone her two kids. For some of you who don't already know, this child is a result from a drunken one night stand. If you met this woman you would see this is obvious. ANyways she is a self proclaimed animal lover so she has 4 large dogs (bull mastif, golden retreiver, greyhound, boxer) living in her trailer along with 5 cats. It smells like dog shit, even after she scrubs everything. Disgusting. We have called child services at least 10 times and they do nothing. In Ohio, all you have to do is have a roof over your child's head and food in their belly to be a "fit parent". Bullshit.


Anyways, this is common for his mother. She's a pathetic liar. She told us she is still selling houses and that she got another job to pay for christmas presents. Hmmm, you'll get another job at christmas to pay for "stuff" but won't pay your bills or hold down a job any other time of the year. Good to know her priorities are in order. She refused to tell us what her other job is but SS told us she now works as a janitor at a Harry and David factory. I checked with the state licensing board and she is no longer a real estate agent, her license was revoked due to her lying about having a criminal record. She was arrested a year ago for theft from her "christmas job" at Kay's Jewelers and was found guilty. Amazing that the courts still let her keep her children after all of this when he could be with parents like Sean and I who devote our lives to being good parents.

Last night Sean called her mother's house to speak with the SS (court orders) but he wasn't there. Her mother, however, did strike up a conversation with him. This is the first time they have spoken since SS's birth. Get this, she APOLOGIZED for how her daughter is. She is a very good grandmother to him and said she was DISAPPOINTED at what kind of mother her daughter was. She told us we are always welcome in her home and that she'd love to talk to us more. She even THANKED us for being such good parents to Wyatt. She agreed that her daughter is irresponsible and lazy but that she's her daughter and that it's her job as a mother to be there for her. Gotta respect that. This was great news to us. At least there is one person in his life that encourages his relationship with us rather that try to screw it up with lies. This bitch had the nerve to tell him that my daughter wasn't his sister. The dog was his only sister. When I tried to confront her in person about this, she LITERALLY ran around her car, jumped in and sped away. Fucking coward. Good thing though because I was about to knock that bitch the fuck out for saying that about my daughter.

So here's the dilemma I am having. I wish I didn't have a fucking conscience. I would love to see that bitch flat broke and living on the street in a cardboard box but when my SS said they didn't have enough money for food, it broke my heart. No child should ever know this, ever. I didn't know I was poor as a child until I was an adult. My parents made sure they never discussed it in front of us. It's not fair to stress your children out like that, they feel guilty like it's their fault. SO, I am buying her some groceries to get her through this month. She doesn't deserve it but those kids shouldn't have to suffer just because their mother is a fuckup. I spoke with her mother last night and she is going to the local Kroger where I have a $150 gift card waiting for her to get the food. What's really bugging me is that this bitch will never be any different. She will always expect us and her parents to bail her ass out when she fucks up yet again. She has asked us for so much money this past year, even asked if we would buy her a computer. We pay the child support AND all his clothes, shoes and cold weather stuff. Along with throwing birthday parties, summer vacations, etc. We have paid her around $100,000 since he was born 7 years ago and she has NOTHING to show for it.

This is why the doc told me to eliminate stress from my life. Can I eliminate her?
 
I forgot, Sean also broke his finger in the car door this weekend and we had a tire blow out on the way home so I had to sit on the side of the road in the rain holding my daughter under my coat for over an hour while we changed the tire. Such a painful weekend.
 
OMG, that is awful! I'm sure you've covered all this already, but I wasn't clear what happened with SS. I am getting steamed reading about this! Did the courts actually declare The Bitch the full custodial parent? I assume so since child support is arranged.

Wouldn't her (a) being a convicted criminal, (b) having all her utilities turned off and (c) running out of money to feed her child, be considered "changed circumstances" that would necessitate, at Sean's motion to the court, a review of the best interests of SS? Also, since the time that The Bitch got full custody, Sean has married you and SS now has a little sister, these would all add to the best interests of SS now being with you all (as opposed to before Sean was married when they gave her custody). What is the hold up with getting a new hearing on this? Is it money for the lawyer? If you won, you'd be saving the $900 plus all the travel expenses and additional expenses you have to cover..but I'm stating the obvious here and I'm sure you know all this more than I.

Well, I know this won't help things at all, but my ex is nearly 40,000 behind in child support and hasn't seen his sons since 9th grade, YEAH isn't that the shits. I tell you what, people who don't care for their children from day one, belong in a shit hole! You made them, you take care of them damn it! Okay, I'm done venting, sorry this just happens to be a topic that hits hard in my home as well.

I hope you find a way to work it out, for that little sweetie pie of a son you have. He knows who the true loving parents are, so don't you worry about that!! You have a HUGE HEART my friend, as I have done that very thing for my nieces and nephews before,(buying them clothes,food, etc) even when I knew their parents were crap! My heart goes out to children, they so deserve the best we can offer.

We are actually trying to find a lawyer that's willing to get this done sooner rather than later. It took our last lawyer a year just to get what we have. They gave her custody because Sean was deploying alot then. He does not deploy now so we show more stability than she does. This is considered a change in circumstances so after christmas we will be filing again. Right now it's impossible to find a lawyer who will call us back!

Wow that really sucks Kim. I hate people who don't take responsibility for their actions. I look at my babies and I couldn't imagine ever living without them. I will do whatever it takes to give them a wonderful life. Your ex is a dick and doesn't deserve to be a father.
 
OMG! That is just horrible, honey. I hope you can find a good lawyer and get full custody of SS. That burns me up knowing he could have a really good home with you, Sean and Annabelle, yet he's stuck with TB (the bitch). And that you all have to deal with her shit. I'm sorry you had such a stressful trip, with the broken finger and tire blow out. Hopefully by this time next year those trips to Ohio will be over and SS will be living with you. Thank God his maternal Gran is decent, eh?
 
Oh yes, the deployment would be a big "change in circumstances", amongst all the other factors such as the CRIME. Hello Judges! I cant believe you cant find a freakin lawyer to do their jobs! If there's any way I can assist in getting things moving let me know. Sometimes they would be embarrassed in front of another attorney to drag their asses. Have you looked up on martindale.com for a lawyer? This is ridiculous! Grrr
