Starting over! And blogging this time.

Hi. Congratulations on keeping the weight loss going even in the face of thyroid disease and a broken foot. And congratulations on your new job! Chalk me up as another one who is envious of your pool -- nothing more refreshing on a hot day.
 
Well if your in the south jersey shore area... lol. I'm still having trouble getting the water to clear. Might have to hire a pool man in a few weeks.

I'm planning on working out a little harder then usual today, hoping to at least have half a pound loss for the week.
 
I'm really upset. Today is weigh in tuesday. I lost ZERO pounds. What.the.hell. I'm even UP from yesterday. I ate very well yesterday, and I walked freaking SIX miles!!!!! My body sucks.
 
Sorry to hear that Heather, but hang in there. If it is water weight, sometimes it takes a few days to come off. Your body needs time to realize that it's getting enough water then it'll shed it. I've had exactly that problem. I'll be up, then I'll drink a lot of water and be up even more, then a day or two later I'll be down to what I was before I went up.

Just don't beat yourself up about it. Every one of us has had weigh ins that didn't go the way we wanted them too. The trick is to stick with it, it's the long term trends that matter, not the individual weigh ins.
 
well I'm suppose to weigh 214.5 by may 14th for the may challenge. It's not looking like I'll make that. I weighed 216.3 this morning though.

Today I am trying dance dance revolution. It's how I originally lost 125 pounds. I'm just afraid i'll rebreak my leg, it's still pretty weak.... Well I guess I'll go try it out, I wont push myself too hard though.
 
That sounds like a fun way to get in some exercise! I'm sure you won't hurt yourself if you take it a little easy. That's pretty low impact, isn't it? Let us know how it goes. ^_^
 
Ummm maybe doing dance dance yesterday did something but I weighed in at 215 this morning!!!!! Yea yea I weigh myself everyday still. I suck. But I was totally NOT expecting that number this morning and I am feeling AWESOME!!!!!!! Tomorrow is the weigh in for the May challenge and I'll be so close to my goal weight for the 14th now. I am back on track!!

Also, here's my face right now, i guess it's slimmed down some, not much though. I think when I reach 200 it'll be pretty noticeable. Also, I had 2 pairs of old jeans waiting for me!!

I'm always so impressed by how happy and beautiful people on here look once they start losing weight - you can see it in your pic too - a kind of inner "chuffedness" that you are getting slimmer and feeling better about yourself! I have that smille too! The "I'm doing it...I wasn't sure that I could...but I can and BOY AM I GREAT!!"
 
it really is an awesome feeling jjjay. It's helping me be so much more confident in myself, like I believe I can actually achieve something other then weight loss now. A few months ago, I felt like I couldn't do anything!
 
yup. I had a real turning point this week - I was all...ooh does this bloke fancy me...or is he thinking "eek. she's flirting with me, better not encourage her" and then I had a whole moment of self-realisation...yeah I am still overweight but I am looking GOOOOOD, he should feel flattered that someone like me finds him attractive. Heheheh. Sense of self-worth coming back a bit more every day :D
 
Today I went for a walk and it wasn't a very fun walk. That leg I broke 2 months ago? It hurt sooo bad the whole time. I could only manage 2 miles. It was just awful. I'm not sure why. Maybe it has to do with the weather? I know its suppose to rain tonight. I don't know. But either way, I was disappointed. I'm afraid I'm going to have days like this for a long time.
 
Whoa! I lost 3.6 pounds this week!!!! I only have to lose 4.2 pounds to reach my 30 lb mark by june 1st. I'm not sure what happened this week that was different then last but hey, I'll take it!

Been doing well. I'm excited for the end of May. At this point, I don't see how I WONT reach my 30 pound goal. I only need to lose 2.8 more pounds! My goal after hitting -30 pounds will be to weigh under 200 by June 21st.

nice to see your hard work is paying off and that goal is getting closer and closer. 30lbs is such an achievement..after that there's 40! and 50! there will be no stopping you!

Being under 200lbs is such a mind-thing - it feels like a real point where you stop, draw a line and say never again. never ever again.

It does, unfortunately it didn't stop me from gaining a bunch of weight back last time! I was down from 305 to 180 but somehow I managed to gain 58 pounds back in a few years. I still think my thyroid was partially to blame.
 
Bleh I drank yesterday, and had around 2000 calories total for the day, including the alcohol. today i weighed 3.5 pounds more. I hope its just water weight. We'll find out in a few days I guess.

Probably water, unless you ate an extra 12,250 calories on top of your daily allowance then there is no possible way that number is correct :) Just keep your head up, tomorrow is a new day.

Plus, alcohol is very dehydrating, which would cause you to retain a lot of water. Water, water, water today!
