Starting over! And blogging this time.

Congratulations on reaching your 30-pound goal -- that is a great accomplishment!

Hope this isn't TMI, but I used to have to be on the pill to regulate my cycle too, and it was a big financial hardship. The good news is that as I lost weight and got fitter, my cycle normalized, and now I am only irregular in times of extreme emotional stress. I also find that having a little soymilk or tofu every day and cutting out caffeine the week before my period helps with the PMS.

Want2lose I'm noticing with losing weight, my period isn't as heavy for as long as it used to be. Hopefully it keeps getting better!

I feel a plateau coming on. I'm not sure what to do to reverse it. I tried the 30 day shred but it's too much of an impact on my leg right now. I can't really do the squats.

I've got my pool up and running though, so tomorrow I think I'm going to wake up early, workout, and then go jump in the pool to cool off. I hope I'm wrong about this plateau. It really feels like it's going to happen though. My weight has been jumping up and down for the past 2 weeks. I lost 5 pounds 2 weeks ago and since then I've been between 201.5-203.5. It keeps going up and down! :(

dont let the bouncing get you down. if it is a plateau and you break it the nice thing is it usually drops alot. At least thats what ive read. So hopefully it will make up for it and drop 4 or 5 at the last minute.

you will be cruising in no time :driving:

200.6!!!!!

I'm so close to being under 200, but I feel so far away at the same time. I have been slacking with working out. My feet hurt so much from standing on them all day at work. Hopefully I can buy some better shoes soon.

I can't wait until tuesday, I really hope I'm under 200! I think I'm going to start losing less then 2 pounds a week, but any loss is fine with me.

I've been stuck at 200-200.4 for a little less then two weeks now. I don’t understand this. I’m working out again, and I’m only eating 1200-1600 calories a day. If I don’t start losing weight I’m terrified I’m going to give up because this is really pissing me off. How is it even possible that I’m NOT losing weight?

Yep, looks like you've hit a little plateau. Just don't give up, eat right and do your exercises, and it'll pass. If you are anything like me, suddenly you'll have a whoosh and drop 4 pounds nearly over night.

Some people swear by having one high(er) calorie day or changing your exercise as a way to break it. Personally, I think it's just one of those things that will happen when it happens. Hang in there and don't give up, you'll be going down again in no time.

I MIGHT be breaking this plateau. Not sure yet. I'm going to give it a few days. I may be under 200 for tomorrows weigh in. Its hard to tell because my weight has been going all over the place lately.

I have some good news. My boyfriend and I joined a gym today. I'm hoping I go 5 days a week. I might try the c25k on the treadmills there.
July 1st I go in for an assessment from one of their trainers. I just hope I can get out of this plateau soon. I'm getting so discouraged which is why I haven't been around much. Hope everyone else is doing awesome!

I've decided to put my highest starting weight on my weight loss ticker. It's bothered me for some time that it wasn't showing my total weight loss. I feel better after seeing 105... lol

Although I've been bummed about my weight yo-yoing lately I'm not letting it ruin my mood. I am so happy I joined this gym! I have always had a phobia of gyms but going to a gym and working out seems a lot better then doing at home. I feel like I push myself harder while at the gym, because everyone there (well... almost everyone!) is pushing themselves as well.

I REALLY want to take their zumba class. I told the trainer doing my fitness assessment today that I want to but that i'm really afraid to go because of how nervous I am about working out infront of people I don't know. She said she would go with me the first class I go to, which I appreciated a lot. I took her up on her offer. I'm going Wednesday night with her! So excited.

I bought myself an ipod nano kind of as a reward for what I've been doing for myself. I've been working on my playlist, not sure what else to add. I have some lady gaga, fat boy slim... thats really it. Any suggestions for high beat, fast paced music that isn't necessarily rap?

Hi Heather

Congrats on joining the gym! If you are anything like me, you'll have a little apprehension at first...but once you get comfy and realize its all in your head, you will turn in to a gym rat! lol

As for music....I'ld hate to offer my suggestions...I got over 4 decades of music to chose from lol. But for me, its gotta be rock.

Keep at it! You are doing fine!

Hey Flumes! I love rock too, classic rock, alternative, everything! I put a lot of lady gaga in my playlist though, haha! She's pretty upbeat and I like her voice. You're right about going to the gym. I am already starting to love it. The environment in the gym is awesome! Yesterday I did circuit training for the first time ever and I actually liked it a lot. My fitness trainer said I should do weights every other day but I really want to do them again today! But i'll listen to her.

My weight loss has been so weird this past month. I think it's just slowing down. It's averaging 2 pounds a week instead of the 3+ it was for awhile, I just need to get used to it.

I went out two nights this week in a dress! *gasp*! I could NEVER do that before. I'm glad I'm starting to get more confident in myself.

Hey lovely--just dropping by to give you some random love and hugs. You're still doing great. My weight loss has slowed (and then sky-rocketed up 6 pounds *rolls eyes*) so I understand hitting that stage where you feel like you can't break the barrier. Hope to see you under 200 soon! It'll be amazing!

xxx

Hey Heather - well done on the gym thing - I know its a big step...and I bet you'll love the Zumba class - what a lovely offer from the trainer to come with you for a bit of support and courage - she sounds great.

As for music on the nano - I find some of the following great:
The Ting Tings
Guns n Roses

I'll have a think when I'm not in a rush and put some more stuff :D

Last week: 197.3
this week: 195.3

not bad!

I spent about 6 hours horse playing in the pool yesterday, I think that helped a bit :D.
Anyway, getting ready to head to the gym! Hope everyone had a great 4th!

Still going to the gym. Still losing weight. I'm at 193.1! Almost under 190, woohoo! Keeping this short since i'm super tired right now. I hope everyone had a great week! Should I post more pics when I get to the 50 pound mark? hmmm... not sure if there will be much of a difference. It's only a 13 pound difference.

very good job! =) Reading this makes me even want to work harder. (not that I am taking it easy or anything lol)

You can Post Progress Picture anytime you did the work you deserve the credit! Progress Pictures are really nice I took one every week since I started and I can't wait to edit all of it and make a slide show slowly shrinking week by week. Right now its just a whole mess of pics on my pic folder when I completed my Goal.

Haha! I have a lot of pictures too, they are so unorganized though, hopefully I'll figure the order out when it's time. I haven't taken a body shot for a few weeks, maybe i should for some encouragement, haven't been feeling it lately.

I'm in a pretty bad mood tonight. Today was a nice day until I had an unpleasant conversation with the boyfriend. I've never felt so rejected before in my life... No details on the matter, but I guess I just wanted to vent...

Taking another zumba class this week! I'm taking it on friday, which is suppose to be held by the instructor that is more for zumba newbies :D
So it should be easier on my leg...

I just realized, I started this blog when my cast was on. which was back in March. I've been on this weight loss journey for almost 4 months now and I'm at 45 pounds lost, not bad. I wasn't even expecting this much lost at this point.

Hi, Heather! I just found your diary and I find it very inspiring! I hope to find the time to read it all and get caught up. There aren't a lot of people on this site (that I've found) that have lost as much as you have, and seeing as I need to lose 245 lbs total I really need to know that's others have lost at least 200 pounds. So that I know that I can too. I haven't found anyone on this site who has lost as much as I intend to, and I find that a bit disheartening.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and thank you for posting your story. I look forward to reading more of your journal. :D

Hey Stacey, not sure if I'll lost 200 pounds at the end of this, but still, 150 pounds is a lot to lose! There are people who have lost a lot on the site though!

http://weight-loss.fitness.com/before-after-between/35430-439-255-still-shrinking.html has lost a lot and
http://weight-loss.fitness.com/befo...ss-_-begin-300lbs-current-137-goal-115-a.html lost a lot too!

I know you can do it! People keep asking "Oh, how do you have the will power? I don't have any!" and honestly it's not even about will power anymore, its about wanting this so bad that it hurts, that I can't see it NOT happening now. I see being myself being at goal weight and I'd rather it happen sooner then later!

Last week: 193.1
This week: 189.8!!!

Wow, was not expecting that! I had my period this week so my weight was just sitting at around the same number for the past few days. Yesterday though, I couldn't stop peeing!

My goal was to be under 190 by the end of July, and it looks like I've achieved that goal :) Maybe I'll hit my 50 pound mark by the end of July, that would be even better! According to my wii, I have less then 15 pounds to lose to have a bmi under 30!!
