Good News:

Chrisy got medicade and they are headed to the WIC office now.
I don't see how they could turn her away from that now since she has the ins.

We'll see... :willy_nilly:

This weekend will be busy around here bc school starts Monday.
I can't believe I'm gonna have a kid in high school!
I feel old! :ack2: lol

Happy TGIF E1 and Have A Great Day!

:grouphug:

Weight-Loss Check In:

First Loss - 189.0

Next Loss - 188.4

8/21/ - 188.2

Today - 188.0

?? It may be more.. This is my 2nd day w/o the horrible :flame: cousin.

lol ... I hate my cycles!

Sadly my measurements are the same.

That's not a shocker though bc exercise has been here and there bc of work, drama, and my horrible cycle.

Now that it's over, I'll feel better and get my energy back.

For the past 3 days I have only ate once a day..

That's bc of stress and feeling ill due to MaeMae's news.

Wow, that is a real shocker about Mae Mae. I thought she'd be able to get medicaid and WIC. My gf got it and she was working at the time. Pregnant women get automatic help like that if they don't have insurance, as long as their incomes don't exceed a certain amount, and I'm sure your sis's income as a college student is pretty small. I hope the baby's father will provide some financial support. It takes two to tango, and when you dance with the devil you gotta pay the fiddler. Or however that saying goes. :D I will be curious to hear what the OB says about her condition affecting her pregnancy. Personally, if I were in her predicament, I'd probably get an abortion. That is just way too much to deal with when she's already got enough on her plate.

Hey sweetie. :)

Hope yer mom is doin' well. :hug2:

***

:) We are pro-life and our own 'personal view' is that something of that nature should only be done if it's life/death for the mother.
Which is still just horrible; but like in MaeMae's case, if childbirth was going to cause her death, that would be a different story.

(Just mentioning our opinion)
We feel it does take two to tango and if you're not wanting a HUGE change in your life such as a baby and major decisions; use many forms of protection or don't have sex. lol

That's how we were raised as Christians and how we still feel through what we have studied and learned on our own.
Even Chrisy.

She gets that point now more than ever and says she'll never get caught off guard again. (I hope she remembers saying this and keeps things with her at all times from now on!)

Guess I will help make sure of that as well! :smash: Beat it through her head!
lol

Good News. She came home with WIC.
She has one last appointment now on Sept 2nd to see if she can get food stamps.
I sure hope so.

Her first endocrine/obgyn visit will be Thursday the 28th.

Gosh,

I wish Dave and I had a house and a nice stash in the bank bc there would be no worries bc we'd take the baby and co-parent with MaeMae until she could finish school, get a good job, and get set up on her own.

I'm already crying at the drop of the hat bc this is so stressful and sad to think about.

Chrisy is really thinking about open-adoption choices.

Her ex mentioned that his sister and her hubby have found out as of 6 mo. ago that they cannot have children...
Once Chrisy and we all have more facts, this could be an answer!

Of course bein' human brings out selfish emotions with me as well.
I can't stand the thought of not knowing and bein' a part of this lil baby's life!
I'll be a 'real' Auntie for the first time!

I tell ya - it sure is a big mess.

Today was the first day I wasn't over at the house trying to take care of her and feed her. lmbo! I'm such a control freak! :sifone: (ocd)

She called with the good news and then was a smarty pants asking where I was I why I wasn't there waiting on her hand and foot? hahaha!

Keelin (baby's father) just started a new job and told Chrisy today that when his check comes in he'll be helping her out with anything she needs and continue to do so. He checks in with her every day.
As a matter of fact, it's causing probs with his new GF.
I told Chrisy not to feel guilty about that.
I told her that you're not trying to win him back or make him cheat, so you guys are doin' nothing wrong.
Plus, they have remained great friends after their break-up so nothing should change just bc he has a GF now.

Whelp, I need ta go finish coupon clipping..
I have to try and get as much as possible for as little as possible at the grocery store tomorrow..lol

So far, I have clipped several healthy coupons for cottage cheese, egg beaters, etc - for gettin' back on track diet wise.

:seeya:

Im glad she WIC andthe ex is being so good so far:) WHo cares about the g/f...he is beign responsible and a friend adn that is totally what she needs.When I got prgoo with my first I was 15...I wasnt living at home, My mom MADE me come home and took care of ME.Made me cut everyhtign out, monitored what and how much I ate and blah blah blah.I think it is a way to be help and do what you can to aid in everyhitng beign ok!

I hear ya about beign involved.I had my oldest cuz I couldnt imagine, abortion or adoption...it was hard but I did it:)

Im glad things are looking up...

I know things are still stressfull, but I'm glad to hear that there is some good progress.

I know you are working hard to take care of you sis right now, but make sure that you keep taking care of yourself as well!

Have a happy & healthy weekend! :troll:

Thanks y'all. :grouphug:

I'll be leaving in a bit for the dreaded store. :svengo: lol

I have to take the calculator since I'm on such a strict budget, so this will make the trip take twice as long. :toetap05:

I have $28 in coupons though! :party:

RE: my job -

I have hit a slow point right now, and that has me worried..

They called me for some shifts to take but they were 40 mins away. :dupe:

I don't get paid enough to go that far bc of gas to and from!

So far, my next shift isn't until Labor Day Sept. 1st. (7 hour shift)

I'm down for Sept. 3rd as well with a different client. (4 hour shift)

I have worked with both client's before. :)

They told me that I 'may' have a new client that would start on Sept. 3rd and I would work with her 'every' Monday - Wed - and Friday.

The lady I'm already down for on the 3rd just loves me and said she would switch to Tuesday's so she could keep me as her Health Aid/CareGiver. :)

So, if this works out I'd have one day left to fill to get a full work week. (Thursday's)

The issue is the office thinks they may have already told another CareGiver about this shift.

I'll find out Monday when I go get my check.

I hope they will have more shifts as well I can sign up for to get me through until the 1st of the month!

~~~~~
I can't believe I forgot to mention last night that I did 30 mins. pilates.
I also vacuumed..(which takes me 40 mins. bc I do the furniture and everything bc of ZuZu.)
I sweated like a pig during both! :piggy:
:biggrinjester:
Today I'll get good exercise as far as the store goes w/walking/loading/unloading/putting it all away, and then I plan on a long walk once the sun goes down.
It's still so freakin' hot here.
I can't wait for the fall weather! (which in Texas feels like spring) :rofl:
I'm so happy to see my weight going down in a steady pace!
Well pooh! :ack2: No grocery store today..
I've had too many side-tracks..(mainly phone calls.)
E1 is calling bc of the news w/Chrisy. lol
I've also talked to her a long time today.
Oh well, I'll just do it tomorrow.
****
Been forgetting to mention this:
I've been reading a lot of GREAT info. at
and thought you guys may want to check it out.
The membership is FREE.
They have a ton of great tools as well!
I'm still reading all the info. re: "The Top 5 Ways to Lose Weight"
I filled out Step 1 and got that set up. :)
I LOVE the walking calendar!
Really good stuff! ;) Just wanted to share.
:seeya:
Just a personal note..........
I am glad to hear that Chrissy is thinking of adoption.
I went that route when I was 17 and I absolutely know that it was the best thing for me.
I was in no way prepared to parent, didn't have a clue or enough money to buy one! LOL
I will keep praying that she makes the best informed decision that she can.
Glad to hear that you just about have a full work week set up. Hopefully a Thursday client will pop up for ya.
Way to go on the coupon clipping.
I am big on price matching from store to store.
At least with working for Wal-Mart I get 10% off my fresh fruits and veggies. Though I just found out by accident the other day I haven't been getting the discount on bananas.
Gonna have to find out what is up with that. As we buy lots and lots of bananas. My kids just love 'em!
Ciao
Thanks so much Dawn. :hug2:
;)
I'm about to leave for the store finally...
Hope I can get a lot of good stuff.
I'm so ready to get serious and lose this weight!
I'm 100% in the right mind-set so far..lol
We have NO sodas or even diet sodas in the house any longer..I will not be buying any either.
Cory is switching to gatoraid and swamp water..
(Swamp Water = Part Sweet Tea - Part Lemonade)
I'm switching to Swamp Water - Water - SF Tang/1 x a day - and 1 c. a day of Light Concord Grape Juice.
(The juice will give me 1 serving of fruit and all of the extra vitamins/antioxidents I need.)
I have added everything up, like an estimate of what I'll be drinking a day and the sugars/cals are very low compared to soda/diet sodas!
I hope to see a good few lbs. come off just from that switch!
Hubby is also switching to Tea - Water only.
We'll also be out of smokes by Wed/Thursday and we will not be buying any more, so Day 1 will start over with that to.
We have a box of patches to get us started.
It's time to get to work!
:party:
I'll check in once I'm back home.
I'll need a break/breather anyway..lol
Yea! I am REALLY excited to hear you are giving up those ciggies... Sounds like you have great plans set. It is always good to reevaluate where you are at along your journey. Good luck at the store!
Hi ya Stacy.. Thanks! ;)
*****
Well, my son is on the bus headed for his first day of high school! :svengo:
I feel old..lol..
After breakfast hubby and I will get dressed bc we have ta drive to Richardson to pick up my check and run a bunch of errands.
The store was a success yesterday. I have lots of healthy foods/snacks.
Thank goodness for coupons, sales, and good planning. :D
I shopped for a month and spent $284 - That includes all the household (non-food) items we needed to. (laundry care - cleaning stuff -hygene - etc.)
I went to Kroger bc they had awesome sales and all of my coupons doubled/trippled. I saved $48! :hurray:
Chrisy went to the store with me and then came home w/me.
I fixed Chicken Spaghetti and Garden Salads.
(used ww pasta.) It was a great meal.
Too much was going on yesterday so the only exercise I had was the store.
Today, I start the walking calendar challenge. (Prevention website.)
I'll still be doin' pilates to.
Have A Goal Reachin' Week Everyone! :grouphug:
I'm gonna have to check out that prevention website. The walking challenge sounds fun. I love competition so I find anything like that exciting.
Glad that you had success at the store! It's nice to have the fridge fully stocked with goodies.
Have a great day today!
Let me know what ya think.. :waving:
The website is really helping me re: motivation! ;)
News re: MaeMae:
Her doc visit's were today..
She's due on Dec. 9th and it's a boy! (awwwwwww)
They said the baby looks great and very healthy.
MaeMae is healthy to.
Of course as explained, she has no choice but to have a C-Section.
The due date may change as she gets further along and at that time they will give a for sure time/day for the baby to come.
It has been a long day for many reasons.
I've not been well. :rolleyes:
I had a bad sinus attack today and then my tooth/teeth (upper right side) started hurting. Right out of the blue for pete sakes.
Took a drink of milk and it hit the teeth and almost brought me to my knees!
OMG..hurt soooo bad.
Now, I have to see if we still have enough money in the dentist fund to even make an appointment. :rolleyes:
It sucks bein' broke!
I hope to have a better day tomorrow.
No exercise -
Food was on plan all day.
:)
What the Heck?!?!
:banghead:
I have the most stupid body. :toetap05:
I have been eating right - exercising - stopped sodas/diet sodas - etc..
Weighed in at 191.0 this morning which is a lb heavier than when I started!
I have been drinking water as well.
My cycle is not due for a few more weeks.
Sheeshhh...I thought I was gonna see some more good results today just bc of dropping the sodas! :rolleyes:
This was a horrible start for my day.
My teeth are still hurting to.
I'm so confused as well.
The battery in my scale is only 2 mo. old, so it can't be that.
Oh well - back to the drawing board.
:piggy:
Stac
Don't beat yourself up! I mean it!! Cuz' if you do then I will only be forced to come to Texas and kick your hinney einny end! You got it!? LOL
So you had an off day with the scale. We have both been at this long enough to know that we have off days. Could be any number of things and you know it. So buck up butter cup. I know that you can do this. Just keep your eye on the prize.
Glad to hear that all is well with Mae Mae and the "little bean".
I am sure that she will most likely be having a Thanksgiving baby if she can't have him normally. They usually do c-sections 1-2 weeks prior to the due date. At least that was how it was with my chili-dogs.
Hope things are still going well with her as far as decision makings and all.
It is a tough thing to have to decide, but I am sure that with you there helping her with whatever decision she makes, that she will succeed.
Sorry to hear about your tooth/teeth bugging you. That is a bummer. Personally myself I have had 2 appts with the dentist in the last 6 months but I just keep cancelling them. 1. I don't like going to begin with and 2. even with health ins. they tend to be pricey.
Hopefully it will clear up all on its own.
Do you have anything to put on it? Try Baby Anbesol. That is what they told dh when his tooth was bugging him.
LOL..Thanks my sweet Bell. ;)
Man, I was so angry... I just knew I was gonna see 187..
To see 191 was a shock! :willy_nilly:
I still have no clue as to what's going on?
Maybe it's all the water? I'm peein' every 10 mins tho..lol
I'm not dragging the scale out again until NEXT Friday.. lmbo! :biggrinjester:
Everything with Chrisy is still going well.
She needs some more time to settle in with all this so to speak before major decisions are made of course. What's important now is for her to eat well and rest.
I'm SO glad she was able to get WIC.
My fingers are crossed she'll get food stamps next week at her appointment!
Her coach is trying to pull some strings and get it to where she can do her classes on-line. I hope all that works out!
My teeth:
They started falling apart 6 mo. after I had Cory.
Before that, I never had a cavity and they were perfect.
The dentist asked me to go to the doc for blood work and pee tests and to bring the results back to him.
I did and he then told me that Cory sucked more than his share of Iron/Calcium out of me..lol..He said that's why I was havin' so much trouble.
Really blew my mind bc I LOVE milk and while preggers I drank even more.
I also took all of my vitamins/minerals from obgyn.
I ate so super healthy as well while preggers.
No wonder my son has turned out to be a giant. lol. :biggrinjester:
He'll be 15 on 1/5 and he's 1/2 in. from bein' 6 ft. and wears a men's 12 shoe.
He has to shave every other day as well.
Anyway - Back to my teeth..lol
After he was born, the next 4 yrs. were horrible! (dentist wise)
I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at once and then had 4 root canals. (1 a year.) Plus 2 fillings.
It's probably more cavities. :toetap05:
Hubby is at work tonight and will check the ins. info/account balance for dentist.
I hope I can make a visit soon bc nothing is working to help with the pain.
Aleve is taking the edge off but I'm still uncomfy.
I'm having to drink everything with a straw.
******
