Whelp - I went ahead and weighed in today to see if there were any changes..(lol)

Thank goodness I saw 189.2

I may be holding on to too much crap..(for real..lmbo!)

I went to the bathroom 2 X before bed lastnight and then 2 X again this morning.

I think the YO+Plus is helping to get my body back on track.

I started getting messed up when we were so broke and I was having to buy lots of cheap processed foods to get us by.

OK - I will try not to weigh again until next Friday now.. :D

I'm about to head out and take care of errands and stop at the store for MORE school supplies! :toetap05:

Some of the things on the list really piss me off!
(as we talked about a few pgs back re: supplies/cost)

I did write notes to each teacher making them aware I cannot afford to send 2 boxes of kleenex per class/teacher.
I let them know that we bought Cory travel kleenex packs that will remain in his backpack and he'll use those when needed.

I got 5 for $1.50 at the Dollar Tree!

It's ridiculous in my opinion some of the things that they want us to send in!!! :icon_bs:
Did you get saddled with having to buy dry erase markers and erasers like I did?

Way to work the system!!! I LOVE IT!!! :biggrinjester:

Hey girlie!
Sorry I haven't checked in sooner, but as you know, I was throwing myself a little pity party yesterday. Anyway, I am doing MUCH better.

As far as your weight loss, just remember (like you told me) to keep positive. Tomorrow is another day.

One thing that you may want to watch is your dairy intake. As far as "hanging on to too much crap" (LOL...) this can literally make you um... "stopped up." So, make sure you are getting lots of fiber in there to help things "come out" ok.

Maybe you should start taking a calcium supplement every day to help with your teeth, as well. I hope you start feeling better! (Boy, do I HATE teeth problems.)

Glad to hear that everything is going well with your sis. You are an awesome person, and she is so lucky to have your love and support!

I was really 'full of it' yesterday huh?! :D

No dry erase markers this time, but lots of red pens and highlighters.
*sigh*

You know me, I can work the system over! hahaha!

Hey doll.. ;)

I'm a dairy freak I tell ya! :sifone:

With my food mover I have 2 Dairy Windows and 6 Protein Windows..
Sometimes dairy items fall under protein.
I will have to keep a closer eye on these tho. :)

Thanks for your support! :hug2:

Job News-

Crap! :smash:

I won't get the regular lady starting Monday after all. <grrrrr>

Someone did not update the puter and the office girl thought a caregiver was needed.

A caregiver was already placed w/the lady.

I'm hoping since school started, more ppl will be calling the agency for help so I can get a regular to work with each week.

Summer's can be slow work wise bc more families are able to help one another.
Now that school has started, I hope things will pick up.

I'm tired of only getting hours here 'n there..We need money and I want to work!

Thank goodness I work a 7 hr. shift on Monday. (Labor Day)
I'll get time 1/2 - $12 an hour! *Woot!*
It'll be with Ms. Ruth. I love her..She is a hoot..(94 yrs. old)

On Wed. 3rd; I work 4 hrs. w/Ms. Karen..Love her to! (82 yrs. old)
She is a shoppin' maniac. :smilielol5:
I'll be driving her all over town.
I get .65 cents a mile added to paycheck as well.

That's it so far!! :ack2:

I'm so ready to get my week full!

I told hubby and he agree's with me that I'm giving this until the first week of October.
If I don't get placed with a regular for each week or if they just can't fill my week up with random ppl/shifts, I'll have to give my notice.

This will really SUCK bc I cannot apply anywhere else as a Caregiver for 1 year. :cuss:
The agency makes you agree/sign a contract or you're not hired.
Their reason is bc they say it makes the company look bad for someone to leave them and go apply to a different agency.
They also do not want you leaving and then promoting a diff. agency of course.

I needed a job in the worst way of course and I was misled a little to bc I "thought" I was going to be given a regular right off the bat and work Mon-Friday. They make you think that. :cuss:

I'm just gonna keep trusting that I'll get placed with someone soon!

Non-compete clauses rarely hold up in court - so they can be challenged.

Oh, well that sounds hopeful!

I just know in no way could we afford to get sued..lmbo! :D

I guess I need to check into court costs just in case.

Thanks Mal. :)

Day 1 - No Smoking!

We ran out of ciggs last night at 10PM

We have started the patches/no smoking today.

May the Lord help and bless us! :Angel_anim:

I want to get through this and move on in my life as a non-smoker!

The extra money will be a GREAT Help as well.

We won't see the full amount of money tho until we are off the patches.
They are $25 a box an Hubby and I are sharing. (14 patches in a box)

I've only been up since 10AM and it feels so strange while I drink coffee without smoking. :svengo:
It sucks that we are gonna have to go through withdrawls again!
:nopity:

This is perfect timing since I have a 7 hr. shift tomorrow!! :D lol

:grouphug:

Have A Happy Sunday Everyone!

Congrats on giving up the smokes! Hang in there. Remember how well you did last time? I know that if all that drama hadn't been going on, you'd still be smoke free, you and Dave were kicking butts. haha

Glad to hear all looks good with Mae Mae and the baby.

My mom always told me that too much dairy binds you up, but I think modern research shows that you can eat as much dairy as you like as long as you get in enough fiber from other things. I eat lots of dairy, but as long as my fiber intake is good, I'm fine. And we women need our calcium to keep our bones strong.

I hope your job works out for you. Even if you can't get the hours you want, wouldn't a few be better than none if you couldn't work anywhere else for a year? Unless you'd get a job in some other field.

:waving: Thanks Kimberly & Stacey. :grouphug:

Kimberly: Yep..We can do it.. I can't wait to PASS the point when we started back. That will be our first mini goal!

re: the job - it just all depends. I'll have to find something else if Dave's company closes in Dec. (hell get the word sometime in Sept.)
I'll need major hours in order to put back as much money as possible so we do not lose everything we have.
It will probably take him a while to find a good paying job somewhere else.
He has been there for 18 years!
There has been a rumor that they would not get sev.pkgs. either!!
We have no savings.
VERY scary! :(

Stacey: :hurray: Thanks Doll!

Doing ok with Day 1 so far. I want one, but I'm just keeping busy and playin' POGO a lot..lmbo!!

I'm looking forward to work tomorrow and the great pay.
$12 an hour. ;)

Can't wait to see Ms. Ruth.

She is too funny!

I will have to plan my meals/snacks tonight and get them ready for tomorrow.(it's a 7 hr. shift)

My eating is going very well and I hope it'll stay that way.
I have to keep control and not turn to food since I can't smoke.

:seeya:

When it Rains..It Pours..

:banghead:

Need to Vent:

I would love to get through 1 week without drama/stress....:toetap05:

Hubby went to the store yesterday evening and came back with ciggs after some horrible news..

Guess we'll try again soon...

Around 8PM lastnight, Cory came in the living room in pain/scared..
He was on his bed resting and he was throwing his drumstick in the air and catching it.
He missed at one point and it came directly down on his left/front bottom tooth and broke it in half!! :svengo:

I had to work today from 1PM-5PM and this morning I did try to see if I could get him in AM wise..They were booked for the entire day.
They are closed tomorrow, so he has an appointment at 3:45PM Friday.

We could not afford the $95 visit, so the Dentist said:

"Let's just be sneaky and put Cory down for a 'Cleaning/X-Rays' since he's due for that anyway. That way MetLife Ins. will cover the visit in full with no co-pay. Once they are done with him, I can look at the tooth and the X-Rays and we'll go from there."

I let her know I was so thankful.

BUT- Here is the really bad news...

The Dentist told me that it sure sounds like he'll need a crown.
By what I have explained to her, she said she's 80% sure it sounds like a crown will be needed.
That's $1,000 - MetLife only covers half.

We would have to pay $500.00 co-pay before it would get crowned.

We DO NOT have that...

I have no idea what we are gonna do now? I cried and cried once we got off the phone and was a mess before trying to get to work.
I had to re-do my make-up and I just felt like poo when I left.
(in a complete panic mess bc I was also running late bc of all the phone calls I had to make today re: Cory and then work called with more shifts I had to get in my planner/orgainzed.)

My check on the 10th will only be $40.. :blush5:

The 25th check will be $180

^Maybe more if I can get some more shifts!

It won't be set in stone until he is seen of course.

I'll wait till then to make phone calls to Baylor Dental school and places like that which could be MUCH cheaper!
We probably won't qualify though bc of hubby's income.
If they would add up all of our bills and the money that flies out the door, we'd QUALIFY for sure! It doesn't work that way though, so all I can do is hope for a solution.

If we can't get any help, poor Cory will have to wait months until I can save up enough from my checks. :banghead:
Nothing can come from Dave's.
We barley were able to pay the bills that come at the first of the month and it's already time for me to go to the grocery store again.
That will have to wait and I'll have a super small budget again.

Cory's tooth hurts and I feel like crap bc all I can do is give him OTC stuff for now.

I'm so stressed out I've been broke out in red splotches all day.

To top it all off, I'm POOPED!

I had a very busy day Monday at work and today as well.

My feet hurt and I'm sore from both work days.

Oh, to make tomorrow bright and perfect, we will once again have NO freakin' water!! :banghead:
The note said for more repairs.. 10AM-6PM..
Can you imagine?
Can't flush toilets either. :dupe:

In the mood I'm in I may decide to pee and crap on the lawn in front of the office!!

Seriously I am beginning to think you have some kind of evil Gremlin on your shoulder!!
You poor thing!!!
I am soooo sorry that things just keep being so very crappy for you. The only thing I can think of that might help you out would be if you have anything you could maybe sell.
I know you probably wouldn't want to do that but I know that usually for me that is the first thing I think of when the poo starts rolling down hill on me.
Sorry to hear that Corey is in sooo much pain.
I know exactly how you feel with the one income hurting your chances for any supplemental help.
We get that all the time with my job.
So even though we aren't rolling in the dough either we don't quailfy for reduced lunches for the kids or help with the costs of the books.
I'll being praying that something somehow will work out for you.
Just hold strong.
And remember even though times are tough by not giving in to the urge to smoke you actually would be saving money.
Keep us updated.

Thanks Dawn! ;) :hug2:

********

Well, thank gosh hubby's friend at work told us about Jefferson Dental which takes our ins.
It's a low-end dentistry which means 'No luxury's' - t.v.'s, mags, decor, etc...
That's fine with us if it keeps the costs down!!!
:iagree:

Poor Cory had these things done yesterday:
X-Rays - Exam - Deep Cleaning - 3 Fillings - Root Canal with a temp. crown.
$75 (this is part of our grocery money.)

The Next Visit to do post/perm. crown will be $365 (instead of $575)

Sadly, we still have to save for the $365..

I hope we can get it fast! Cory's tooth is brittle now bc of root canal and if an accident happens he could lose the entire tooth and have a space! :ack2:

The poor kid was there from 1PM-4:30PM!

He felt like poo warmed over of course. :angelsad2:

I'm back up to 190.6 :cuss:
:flame: is also visiting...

Says: Good-Bye Energy... See you in 8 days! ...
Hello cramps..

I cannot wait to have my surgury!

Back to buying crap for dinner bc of such a low budget.

I really hope I can get a perm. client SOON!!
I need to work as much as possible!

So far, I have 1 shift down for Tuesday. 11AM-3PM

Sorry to be such a downer.. :leaving:

I really need some light and peace in my life!
I hope we'll be blessed w/it soon!
I don't know how much more of this I can take!!

Stacy, I'm absolutely bummed out to hear all this, on top of your family troubles!!!

Would your community, or an organization like Salvation Army or SOMETHING be able to assist your family? If you have ANY resources.....

Hugs and prayers, I KNOW some good fortune will turn up for you....I'll concentrate on my end.....

If you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all, sweetie. :)

So sorry to hear about Cory's tooth. Aren't there state programs that cover children? I know my friend's kids are on one here in Michigan.

I hope you get the money soon.

This too shall pass. Keep that in mind. It'll all work out. :hug2: :hug2:
