****

I've been busy, busy! lol

I'm fixin' ta leave as well.. :biggrinjester:

It's our Tax Free Holiday - Today - Sunday.

I'm heading out to go get all of Cory's uniforms and other clothing for school.
Plus school supplies.
That can cost more than clothes & they are not on the tax free list..(of course.) :dupe:

I just dropped Cory off at his high school.
I'll pick him up at 4PM. It's orientation day and he'll also get his schedule.

I'll journal hop once back home & settled. :waving:

Oh, by the way...

I'm now 188.4  Going down!

You're doing a great job, Stacy! Little by little, the pounds are coming off. Keep it up and you'll be at your goal before you know it.

Oh, and never underestimate the workout you get from running errands. From the sound of it you've got a busy day planned. I'm sure you'll be burning some calories today, without even realizing it.

Keep up the great work!

Ohhh YEAH!!!
Your rocking it now girl!!! I think keeping yourself busy is gonna be your key to success.
I am feeling ya on the school supply thing! GRRRRR:cuss:
The thing that gets me here is that I pay taxes for the school, then I have to "buy" the books, which for 3 kids came to a whopping 300 dollars!!!!
And on top of that I have to buy supplies too! Stuff like kleenex's and sanitzer gel. Whole reams of loose leaf paper. Stuff that I know doesn't go to only my kid.
It gets expensive real fast. And we are considered to make too much money so can't use any assitance.
All and all it came to nearly $400-$450, just to send my kids to school. And that didn't include things like clothes or shoes!
Top that off with my oldest being a Senior this year! Can you say CHA-CHING!!!
Oh Well! Ya gotta take care of 'em regardless............right!
Have a great day sweety!

Hi ya E1. ;)

Thanks so much you guys. :hug2:

Here is my 190. Pic taken a couple of weeks ago when I started my job.
(In my scrubs.) HeeHee.

Can't wait to get this weight off!

I'll take my next pic at 180

I have to get things cleaned up today and take care of laundry to get ready for the work week.

Have A Goal Reachin' Day E1! :grouphug:

Hey there,
Just wanted to check in on you. I was reading back through some of your previous posts... so glad that you are starting out with your new job, and it's something that you love!

I am on the waiting list for the nursing program and it is so exciting (even though I don't start the program until next August.) I will be starting classes Sept 2nd for my CNA (nursing assistant.)

Anyway, I bet that starting this job will be a great motivator for you in your continued success. I know that for me, I want to be healthy before I try to tell someone else how to be healthy.

Can't wait to hear more from you. Have a great Sunday!

Glad to hear things are going well and that the scale is going down!

You and Dawn are scaring me with your talk of how expensive school supplies are..lol. :biggrinjester: I saw that Staples had them on sale, and some things were a penny! That sounds pretty cheap to me. For the last few years my office has been buying school supplies for a local school's low-income students. I watch for the sales and then go shopping.

Hey Y'all.. :seeya:

I'm gettin' ready 4 work..

Man, I bet I didn't even get 2 hrs. sleep.. I feel like pooh. :nopity:

Gotta suck it up bc I'll be caring for a client today that needs lots of TLC bc of all of her health problems.

Minus: Thanks 4 checkin' in. ;)

Best Wishes! That's Great! :hug2:

I'll become a CNA as well in a couple of months.
Once accomplished I'll get a small raise bc CNA's make more an hour.

It'll also give me a head start for college courses I'll be taking later once I have some money saved.
I want to become a PCA/PCT and work in a hospital.

Kimberly: Hi Doll.

Yep, Staples can help some but you wouldn't believe ALL the crap you have to get. You get common sense things you know they will need to start off with during the great sales. BUT, once the sales are over and your kids are in school, the teacher's give you a list and you have to go shopping again.

It gets really bad once they get older and have many teacher's/classrooms.
I dread this year bc Cory will have 7 teacher's. :leaving:

One of the things that always makes me mad is when I have to buy a lot of copy paper. The school should help the teacher's w/that - NOT parents!
That goes for all the dang Kleenex Boxes they ask for as well.

Cory's uniform clothing + shoes/undershirts/underware/socks came to $295
School Supplies to start off (there will be a ton more needed as explained)
$35

The first week of school we'll get the Choir Dues and that will be $125
That's for the Choir Uniform.

I feel so bad for Cory and that we are broke bc we already received a letter from the Choir warning us that the 3rd week of school they will need the $1,500 for the N.Y. Trip they will take in the spring.

He will not get to go of course. The PTA should help the kids I feel.

Start saving now Kimberly!! :smilielol5: *TeeHee*

Dawn: Yep, that's my daughter. ;)

Here is a good pic of her.

She's a goof-ball like me..lol..

Whelp, I better finish gettin' ready!

My shift ends at 3PM..

Have A Great Day All! :seeya:

<3 Stacy

Hey Goofball! ;)

That SUCKS--schools suck, nowadays. no $$$ for nuthin'. But also, in my opinion, kids can learn things without all the damn requirements they have for supplies--it must be a scam by corporate swine. :piggy: I worked for OfficeMax--I remember the huge ass lists that parents brought in from their kids' schools. Ridiculous! I learned, fine, and I didn't have a million pens and things...whatever.

Take care and have a goal rachin' day! :seeya:

Hey Val! :hug2:

Amen Sista! I hear ya.

*****

OMG - Do I have a bomb to drop................

Today my lil sis MaeMae called..(Chrisy Age 20)

She said she was scared and didn't know what to do.
She's supposed to head back to college tomorrow morning. (Abilene)

She said a store preg. test came back positive!

Hubby went and picked her up around the corner from my parents house.

I was on the computer looking up Planned Parenthood #'s

I got the info. we needed and once she got her I took her.

She is 4 1/2 months. I'm a nervous freakin' wreck.

She is special due to a birth defect. She has no white/red blood cells and their bodies cannot handle stress/pain/sickness/etc.
They take meds 3 X's a day that keeps them alive. (I was the only one that didn't get it. They all 3 have it. 2 sissy's and one bubba.)
She will have no choice but to have a C-Section bc girls born w/CAH have no vaginas. It's a long and complicated illness to discuss so just look it up for more info. :)

Once she got her period and reached 18, she had a 20 hour surgery which opened her up and gave her a vagina. She looks and feels normal now.The scary thing is getting with her endocrine doc tomorrow and finding out if even with a C-Section if harm/death could come to her bc of childbirth and her birth defect.

Once she got back to our house I had to go break the news to our parents.
(They always BLOW-UP with bad news.)

Thank gosh MaeMae was not around bc they blew up of course.

My parents hate each other and are divorced in their hearts.
BC they are poor, they are stuck with each other.

This caused them to start fighting with each other and after a while I screamed at both of them to shut-up/put their BS to the side and let's talk about Chrisy.

I swear they can be so freakin' STUPID and childish.

I told them: NO WONDER the KIDS come to ME and hubby re: important events. They only trust us. They know we act like and ARE adults.
Who did MaeMae call and run to?! ME..

My parents then shut the hell up and listened.

Once they were calm and the shock was over, I picked up MaeMae and took her to WalMart to pick out food.
There was nothing in the house bc my parents are flat broke. :angelsad2:
Of course we picked stuff out for E1, but we got things just for her and the baby as well. She needs to eat healthy.
(of course we are broke to, so I just had to charge it.)
This was just a must.

We then went to the house. Mom and dad were quiet as we all put the groceries up.
Mom and dad then calmly started chatting with MaeMae about everything.

I made Chrisy something to eat and poured her a big glass of milk.

I then made her eat a banana to..lmbo.

After about 25 mins. she said: OMG Sissy come here.

I put my hand on her belly and the baby was kicking. (I started crying)
It was the first time she felt any movement.

Of course she had to call the coach and tell her school is on hold.
MaeMae was so excited about getting back to basketball and school. This is sad for her. :angelsad2:

Dad is taking her to human resources tomorrow to get medicade and wic.
We are hoping food stamps to!
They will then go to the endocrine doc and obygn.

I'm so freakin' nervous about her health.

The baby to of course since she didn't know she was preggers and has had no vitamins/proper diet.
She has also had alcohol and pot.
That knocked my socks off let me tell ya!
I was very angry about that but just had to keep it in.

Dad will make sure and get tests set up re: the health of the baby now.

MaeMae said she wants a lot of info. re: adoption and everything else bc she has a huge decision to make.
I agree.

I told her this is up to her.
She has to live with either decision she makes.
I made sure to let her know that of course she can chat with me and discuss everything but she has to make the choice..Not me - mom - dad - etc.

She then called her old BF to give him the news.
He was nice and concerned about her.
My mom/dad wasn't to thrilled to find out it was her ex which is Africian American.
I swear, they need to wake up and get with the program for pete sakes!

He said he will support her decision and be there for either.

Boy, am I right or am I right??

I've always said I should write scripts for Soaps based on my family and our constant drama!

I'm fixin' ta head for bed. I paused from writing and called MaeMae to make sure she ate dinner and drank the juice I bought her. lol ....
She did and was heading for bed.
Thank gosh I don't work tomorrow bc I need a break and I'll be nervous until I hear about what all the docs said.

I'll share more as I know more.

:grouphug: for all!

<3 Stacy

Wow, I don't even know what to say. I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I will keep you all in my prayers. It is good that she has you to lean on, and that you are trying to make sure she stays healthy.

Good luck with everything. Take care of yourself during this time. Stress tends to do weird things with our self awareness. Hang in there, ok!

WOW Stacy!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek2:

I remember you mentioning your parents and your family's health issues, this is SOME BOMB!!!

As "pro-choice" I will keep my mouth shut, but whatever decision she makes will be good and right for her. Your siblings are lucky to have you in their lives, it must be very difficult to have childish parents and I'm sorry you carry the extra burden. You're a sweetheart :Angel_anim:

Take care!!! :hug2:

:grouphug:
Thanks you guys. :)

Nothing much was accomplished today.

 I'm sorry, but if you are born and raised in this country you don't get jack chit.

If you are illegal you get every ounce of help and beyond!!!!!

I swear if I could move my entire family out of America I WOULD!!

They got the run around at human resources which is the story of my parent's life and why they are poor and can't even buy freakin' FOOD!

Dad has spent all day on the phone with Parkland county hospital where she will have to go/stick with.

One good thing about that though is the Wonderful Doc that did MaeMae's 20 hr. surgery is at Parkland and will pull strings to help the family/Chrisy.
The doc is a pediactric endocrine doc, so she can't treat her. :(

She loves Chrisy though and will do what she can to ensure good care.

Someone please tell me why my broke/unmarried/expecting /young sister can't get medicade?

They told her at the office she'll be lucky if she can even get WIC.

Our country is so screwed up and makes no damn sense.

This has been another long/stressful day.

Dinner is almost ready and after we eat I'm gonna catch up on some cleaning/laundry, take a long bubble bath and go to bed.

Talk to ya soon! :hug2:

Sigh, sorry to hear all that!

I am broke too, and my own company barely pays for my health care. I had to pay $220 of the $490 it cost for a pap smear. Whatever!

I hope a miracle comes through for you!!!!!! I believe in em!!!

Your so cute in your scrubs! And ZuZu is cute too:)!!!

I havent done the school supply shopping and not looking forward to it either:(But as you said I buy the basics and then everythign else once school starts...one benefit to high school...Plus as promised I need to get her a cell phone - It was supposta be a bday present and then I just told her that I promised b4 school started:( and buy her some clothes *BLAH* LOL...

We too have been flat broke but what sucks is I live off my pay cheques, no line of credit or credit cards...we are also in the process of buying a new vechicle , which has been a headache in itself!!!Even though I made good money I am still struggling raising the kids alone...

WOW to your sister and good for you for handling things as well as did/are...We all need someone like that we can depend on.It makes dealign with stuff liek this easier. And I totally agree. I spend my first daughters life raising her alone...I was a single mom for at least the first 8 yrs with her. I worked my ass off, finished high school and put myself through college, I struggled alot and could never recieve help. However if I was of a different desent or a druggy, that wasted my money or wanted to sit on assistance I coudl get all the help in the world...but not as long as I worked. I went on assistance once for two months...My student loan ran out before I got a job...I had to support my daughter...and then pressured me into finding her father that has never been a part of our lives and accussed me of running and hiding from him, I got off right away and finally found a crappy job, lol. But I agree with you, as a single parent i have never recieved help from the community, especially as a young single mom...the help I have recieved is from my family and now close friends.

My life is a pretty damn good soapy as well:DWe could write together!!!Never a dull moment over hear either.

Im glad the job is working out for you!You will exceed well in this line of work with your big caring heart!!!

?? It may be more.. This is my first day w/o the horrible :flame: cousin.

lol ... I hate my cycles!

Sadly my measurements are the same.

That's not a shocker though bc exercise has been here and there bc of work, drama, and my horrible cycle.

Now that it's over, I'll feel better and get my energy back.

For the past 2 days I have only ate once a day..

That's bc of stress and feeling ill due to MaeMae's news.

I hope you all are having a super great day!

:hug2:

<3 Stacy

lol Val. :D

Thanks!

As I mentioned, now that :flame: he is gone, my energy will return and I can exercise! That's what will make this weight drop more quickly of course.

I'll start gettin' hungry again soon I'm sure.

My nerves are just torn up at the moment.

The news is still trying to sink in.

:grouphug:

Hey Stacy,

I totally understand the 6 pound cycle...been there, and often still there. I think it's the frustration factor. Hey, if you find anything that helps, let me know! My current thing is when I have an urge to eat, I have to drink a big glass of water first and then wait 10 minutes. If I'm still hungry, then I can eat something.

Are you still having issues with your stomach hurting or has that passed? I've learned that food combining can often help with stomach issues.

Just keep on trucking, and you'll do it. One of my long time troupe members lost 60 pounds through dancing, so focus on finding an exercise form you can love instead of endure. Yoga, dance, even kick boxing can give you that, so keep looking until you find the one for you.

Remember you're not alone. We are all in the same boat with you, and hopefully we can help.

Jana
