Skyler's new diary

Hi skyler, I'm glad you aren't getting discouraged and instead are finding other routes to explore to keep up your success. I think you're determination is inspirational!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Hey Skyler! I agree with Scarlett. Your determination is wonderful! Don't give up, don't get discouraged, don't do some diet you don't feel comfortable doing to drop it fast that may then make you regain it all once you stop doing it. You can do this! We are here to support you along the way! :D

Hey Skyler. How's it going. Here is your daily dose of motivation for you. Do your pilates and because its the weekend dosen't mean it is pizza time. LOL. You are doing great. You can do it and by this time 2 months from now we should be kicking butt in a big way. Yahoooooooooooooo ;)
You gave me some great menu ideas. Thanks for that. You are awesome. I decided not to go to the gym today because it is stinking hot here and I don't want to leave the comforts of my air-conditioned home. (that is a great excuse, don't you agree?) :p Just kidding. No I want to have a garage sale in the next few weeks, so I thought that moving all my crap to a safe place is exercise enough for one day. :D

Anyways, I hope your day is going well. Have a great one.

thanks scarlett, RR and Jodee!! i just cant get discouraged. i've been here before...working my butt off and losing zippo - so i just keep plugging along and eventually something has to give and lose!! just a matter of time (please!!??!!) just gotta keep a positive attitude, get in as much aqua as possible and eat enough and do cardio..and weights a lot...(only that and i'm good, ha!). i am up for the challenge.

anyways, i ll quit rambling...this weekend has been good so far and impressive considering my husband is off w/ me which is a rare occasion b/c of his work schedule (and we tend to over indulge sometimes together!). anyways, fridays cals came in at 1800 which was all healthy but i got into the berry bowl and couldnt help myself ;). at least it wasnt cookies. yesterday(sat) cals came in at 1600 almost and i did plyometrics drills and elliptical mixed for 30 minutes. friday was the scheduled day off from exercise so i just walked the dogs some.

today - we are going to a concert so that usually throws things off, however, i am going to try and make that not happen and see how that goes. ive actually never tried in a "festival like atmosphere" - i just go with the flow...and dance which has to help some! but, we'll see what happens. i did go to the grocery and got plenty of healhty food for the week in hopes of hubby and i both eating at home and being good this comign week ;).

so far so good on the sunday...strawberries for lunch and arugula salad with italian bread/tomatos/parmesan for lunch and did exercise (whoo-hoo!) of 30 minutes of circuit weight training..i m late so no time for elliptical but i will surely dance as much as possible. only at 140 cal. so far for the day so i guess i banked some for those empty beer calores..now just have to remember to drink the water!!

Way to go Skyler. Looks like you have a pretty good day. You can do it. ;)
And yes don't forget to drink you water. That is most important. Have a great day tomorrow. Take care.

Skyler, I too had the same trouble.. For 3 entire weeks I wasn't losing a gram! And then finally yesterday I managed reading an immediate 2 kilo loss and call me insane but I honestly believe this is only the beginning.. Some times weight loss comes all in one go... which trust me- It isn’t half bad in the end..

Stay Strong!

Sday~

:D

yes NTL, you are right. just ANOTHER bump in the road.

this weekend was really fun. last night ended up w/ too many beers and peanuts so i am bloated with salt and dehydrated with liquor....water water water is my best friend right now.

and Sday - thanks for stopping by! and sharing your slow loss wowes as it does help to hear others in similar (or were in) situations!!!

Minimize your alcohol consumption. Excessive alcohol may compromise your liver’s ability to break down and detoxify estrogenic derivatives. When not broken down and detoxified, these estrogenic toxins penetrate the blood and cause unpleasant symptoms like bloating, water retention, and stubborn-fat gain. If these toxins remain unchecked, they may cause chronic diseases, and even cancer.

get it yet?

hey skyler, just wanted to see how you're doing. I think it's great that you and Jodee have kind of paired up in a buddy team. I see y'all bouncing ideas off each other and that's just wonderful to see. Y'all keep it up!!!!

Have a great week!!!

Did you a least wake up with a hang over???? ;) You are awesome Skyler. You admit to your minor oopsies. I am bad for that. I will wolf down a chocolate bar and then deny it. :( But I'm getting better at passing the display of them on the way out of the supermarket. Keep you chin up and keep plugging along. :D

yes maam, started the week off with a hangover and YES, it was fun! :) that is my problem. fun seems to get in the way of all this "staying in line" stuff....thanks. one day at a time. i feel better than yesterday. i was super bloated and feeling out right GROSS. it did make me think about when i was 20 lbs heavier though and how satisfied i am that i at least have lost that and these last 15 WILL come off....eventually. 2010? maybe...

yesterday i had 1450 calories and had my pilates class at night. Drank about 3 liters of water as i was so bloated and salt filled!! i got some sleep (YEAH!!) even though i am still exhausted....i did want to get up this am to do some cardio and i turned my alarm off. oops!! i have class tonight so i'm not sure how i can get the exercise in....depends on what time i get out of work....we shall see...tomorrow may have to be double exercise if it gets too hectic today...

working on getting 1500 cal in today and eating every 3 hrs....and lots of water!!

have a good one...

You can do it Skyler. I know that when I "used" to get smashed, ;) , I would be totally dehydrated the next day too. that is the key is to drink lots of water. Hope you have a not too busy day so that you can recover fully. :D Have an awesome day.

Sounds like you're doing great. Once in a while alchohol is fine, but I think you should try cutting down(or not as often?). Alchohol definitely dehydrates and MAKES you retain water (as I learned this weekend myself).
Other then that, I'm glad you had fun, way to go.

I am getting to think that I am the only one who didn't get to tie one on this weekend....:p Am I getting to old?? and settled??? OH NO I can't let that happen. :D

dont worry Jodee- not a bad thing!! i must be fighting off every notion of being "good" and "disciplined" as a new wife but i'll figure out that balancing act (eventually!! :p ).

yesterday was okay. i was feeling super bloated and just gross all around. Not even hungry...trying to slam food down wasnt working very well.

exercise was minimum b/c of class but i did get an hour walk in with the dogs. calories were LOW- came in at 935 but i did drink about 90 oz of water and truthfully wasnt the slightest bit hungry AND i was trying!!

hopefully will do better today in that arena...and the bloating is dissipating - finally!! :)

Walking the dogs are great exercise. We have a Jack Russell Terrier and it has been way to hot to walk the little guy. It is so hard to go out in the heat. I wish it would rain for 2 days to cool it off. Your calories were low yesterday. You need to keep up your energy for classes. Have a great day Skyler. :D

Don't worry, Jodee, I actually drink very rarely, as I have desire for it very rarely, so there's definitely no peer pressure there, Lol! :) Last Friday was just one of those days and what is better way to escape reality then a bottle of good wine... ;)

Skyler, you're doing great on drinking water. Keep it up, and stay away from salty foods, your body will release water soon! Way to go on fitting in the walk with dogs!
