no, i have been doing weight training for a while now. mostly free weights/exercise bands/exercise balls, then about 8 months ago, i expanded to pilates (reformer/cadillac & machines - twice a week) and 1 day of different free weight type training (as i dont belong to a gym on top of the pilates), so I get 3 days / week of strength training. i was not doing 'supersets' though so maybe it will change it up.

today has been flying by for me. in the process of eating a big salad with fat free dressing and tofu, sprouts, cucumbers, mushrooms..truly delicious ;).

i'll check back later...tomorrow is my weigh in. imagine if two weeks in a row, i show a loss?!! i will be totally shocked.
 
I think the supersets will help a lot and I promise I'll try to get to your diet today.
BTW- Your website it too cute! It's always fun to put faces to names. :)
 
thanks NL, i sure hope we'll be dancin tomorrow, but i do doubt it, considering i have been GREAT this week, but I have been GREAT many weeks, and my body just loves to hold that fat...you will hear if it budges at all, i promise!

today has been good - salad and tofu and lots of water...going to do some yoga tonight and take the dogs for a walk & the 'lower body supersets' that paula recommended. moving back to my house tonight, so i can do elliptical in the morning hopefully!! i think i need a new alarm clock to get myself out of bed. i think i am literally used to the annoying sound and incorporate it in my dreams..if only workouts happened that way! ha!

4 mo. countdown to the wedding...i'd like to be set by june 1 with my goal weight - that is 14 weeks, i lose probably about .75/week so that would put me at -10.5 or 130.5....

this sound so crazy, i'm sure, but I really want to be below 130 for june!! i'm sticking to what i've been doing but where is my magic for a few extra loss?!?! ;)
 
hey paula,
it says to do arms on mon/thurs, legs on tues/frid, sat-cardio, wed/sund - rest...
can i do arms on monday/wednesday, legs on tuesday/thursday, saturday - pilates, sunday - endurance cardio, and rest on friday??? does it matter? i stink at working out on fridays so that's a good rest day for me....

That should be fine. The most important part is to have at least one day of rest before training the same bodypart again. :)

Alright woman. My fingers are crossed. My shoes are on. I am pumped up and ready to dance. (in my best Tom Cruise imitation):"Show me the numbers!!!!!"

I just have a feeling you're going to see a loss! I really do!!! (that or its the coffee sitting in my empty stomach.. ;) )

that must be it...as i am at status quo at 141. however, i am not too frustrated /upset as i went down 2 lbs (after NONE for two months) and to not gain back and stay here is okay with me for now...

NOW, if next week, I am still the same, that angry/frustrated me, might come popping out again.

funny thing is that i thought today was thursday (oops!!) and that is my weigh in day..i guess not this week.

hoping for something for next week, i 'm really wanting to get out of the 140's. :(

Ah HA! You still have to weigh in tomorrow, Thursday!!! See because I bet your scale doesn't tell you a loss until at least a half pound!! See, so that scale could still go down tomorrow. That's it missy, you hear me? I want you to roll out of that bed tomorrow morning and weigh your self buck naked first thing.. well ok you can pee first!! :D I still have hope.. it cant' all be my coffee!!! ;)
 
Okay, okay, I'll weigh in tomorrow!! and yes, my scale only shows 1/2 lb losses, but dont get your hopes up....

i am not going to have a chance to exercise tonight, so gotta be careful on the calories today...

so far, i missed breakfast again (yikes!!), and had a tuna wrap for lunch with some soup. dinner at parents, so generally very healthy..probably fish, veggie, maybe baked potato and lots of salad (my mom is a health nut!).

hopefully, your good wishes weren't stemmed from a cup of coffee & some true ESP :)..we'll see..

Ahh these negative vibes will not help. :D hehe. okyou're doing really good with food. Just drink plenty of water today!! :) Truly.. I hope I'm right, and you see at least 0.5lbs down on the scale. :) Best of luck girl!!
 
Finally! Your Diet Suggestions! :)

typical diet:
breakfast: yogurt or eggs
lunch: salad with tuna or tofu OR soup OR sushi
snack: apple or kashi bar or nuts
dinner: lean cuisine & broccoli OR shrimp stir fry OR salad, sweet potato and chicken

Here's my suggestion to you.
Breakfast: Yogurt AND three Egg Whites (add one yolk if you want) I mix mine with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
Snack: Protein Shake and Apple
Lunch: Salad (what kind of dressing are you adding?) with Tuna or Tofu or Sushi is good but I would cut the soup out (too much salt and fat, not much substance) I would add a small baked potato (plain) to this. I personally eat a can of tuna with wheat thins for this meal.
Snack: Protein Shake and Green Veggie (My personal favorite is the Artichoke)
Dinner: This is the key meal in my opinion. The odds of you buring a lot of carbs after dinner are slim to none. I would have a protein source (meat, fish, cottage cheese) and a veggie (anything green) and I would stay away from the starchy carbs.

If you are hungry after dinner and before bed, have a protein shake.

NOW, YOU MUST allow yourself a cheat meal or even a cheat day once a week! This keeps you sane and your body guessing! Let me know if you have any questions and I hope this helps.

thanks paula. what kind of protein shakes do you have? the advice is much appreciated. well, i guess i could call today, a cheat day!. i had no clue that would be in part of the diet. i think i'll skip the weigh in and be good for this week and wait til next thursday. i ate healthy foods but it felt like a lot - some cheese (no crackers, but i'm a sucker for cheese), 2 glasses of red wine, then dinner was poached salmon, plain baked potato, and asparagus with 'i cant believe it aint butter' and a salad to start (oh, by the way, i always use no fat or vinegar for salad dressing). calories came to 1300 with about 200 being 'empty' calories. ugh. maybe this will shake it up a bit? hmm. i doubt the way that i wanted...and, no exercise to boot...too busy at parents' house for dinner...

hmpfh.

back on the wagon tomorrow, i promise!!
 
Yum! Your dinner sounds amazing and healthy! Oh, the red wine! I love me some red wine. hehe 1300 calories isn't bad. You're "cheat days" are actually pretty good compared to mine. lol Have a great day!

paula, i saw your diary says: It's a new protein powder called Six Starr Body Fuel and I believe you can get it at GNC and some Wal-Marts...

are you still using that one? what do you mix it with, if anything??

i'm going to try your diet out and see what happens...

just checking in on you and seeing how things are going. And Id like to know how that drink you mention to paula tastes...most of those tastes like crap! But if it tastes good...I may try it too!
