As for Miss Scarlett, I love that little reminder. I'll have to find something that weighs 75 pounds lying around. I was carrying quite a lot of tile the other day and did notice that was heavy! How quickly we forget what we've done to our bodies in the past! Don't you feel fantastic about that? Keep that in mind if ever you feel like it's too much work to eat healthy foods in moderation and exercise. Ask yourself if you want to carry around those rocks again (ever!). Good job, hun!:D
 
Gosh, I just realized I haven't posted in my own diary in two days!!! Thanks to you all for dropping by, your kind and inspirational words mean alot to me.

Saturday's Calories

Ate = 1537
Burned = 325
Net = 1212

Went for Sushi Saturday night, had a california roll and a cucumber and avocado roll. Delish!!!

Sunday's Calories

Ate = 1600

No treadmill, should have because I had a major disappointment this morning when the scale creeped up 1.4 pounds :eek: :eek: :eek:

I've had this happen before and I know it can be water weight (I did eat soy sauce Saturday night). But it was terribly disappointing on the morning that I'm starting the two week group challenge. :(

But I'm not changing my ticker, darnit :mad: I'm leaving it right where it was before the weekend 1.4 pounds ago.

Looking forward to catching up with all your diaries this morning.
 
S'ok s'ok...soy sauce will do that sometimes... :)

dont worry scarlett, i'm sure it is water weight...1.4 lbs in the grand sceme of things isnt so bad! it will be gone before you know it. Drink lots of water and get sweating!! Take out your anger/frustration on that treadmill. I'd try some interval work to get your metabolism revving! Keep up the great work.
 
Scarlett, that's no fair. I have no doubt that 1.4 pounds is either water weight or a blip and it will be gone in less than a day. That's just giving you another leg up on the competition for the challenge. Man, the Sisterhood is powerful.
 
Scarlett, it sounds like things are going really well, so I wouldn't worry overmuch over such a small gain, especially with as much sodium that's in the soy sauce. Keep up the great work!!

Hey there girl!

Water weight is a pain in the ass to get rid of. This is gonna sound nuts (just like me) but if you drink regular water it actually helps eliminate water weight. Also try to avoid anything alcohol or caffiene related too, those two nasty things only create more problems. Keep up the good work hun, we are all here for you! HUGS :p
 
Hey there- I am up 1.4 pounds from where I was before the weekend too... It figures! I'm sure we'll be right back down w/i the next couple of days ;)
 
Hey Scarlett, it is definitely water weight. Soy sauce is mostly water and salt from what I understand. If I eat bacon, I can put on 3 lbs overnight, then 2-3 days later its gone. Just steer clear of salt and drink lots of water ;)
 
Hi Scarlett I got the link you posted in my journal but when I went to the thread it said that it was closed. I was just wondering if you were still doing that challenge or not. I would like to join the club if it's not to late.

Staying away from salt is good advice. I'm with Mrs. Bear on the gaining weight with salt. I had sushi on saturday with soya sauce and when I got on the scale on Sunday and I had gained 4lbs. When I weighted myself this am after drinking loads of water all day Sunday I was down those 4lbs. It is so weird but I guess it was all water retention.

That is so good to hear right now....I have to admit I've felt a little down today because of it. As for the challenge, I would suggest pm'ing Hypo Hippo, maybe there is room left on one of the teams.

Thanks to you all for your very supportive comments.....I've already had 75 ounces of water today. And hopefully will get in another 60 at least.
 
Jennifuffa ~ Let me know if you are interested! I have one other person who is a late arrival. I can get you in some time today, either in a group where someone doesn't check in or in a group that only has 5 (some have 6 already). :D
 
Hey Scarlett. Are you lifting weights too? Because that puny little 1.4 could be muscle building. Either that or stupid water weight! Don't worry about it though.
 
My weight was up today, too. I know it is just TOM bloat, so the ticker is NOT moving. But, it might be helpful in the challenge. Just think, our little extra water will fall off easily in the next few days and we'll give our teams an extra boost! :cool:

And Von, I've been doing very minimal weight stuff with 3 pound weights on my arms....but I haven't really built any muscle to speak of so I doubt it's that.

We'll just have to see what the next few days bring...I did let it get me down a little bit today..but all of your visits lifted my spirits so thank you.

Drank a ton of water...I stopped counting after a while but I've peed at least 48 times. But I was a little high on my calories too...I felt very hungry and I'm pretty sure it was just emotional crap.
