Pineola ~ Are you talking about the group challenge? If so, you don't have to weigh in twice a week for that. Oh, I guess unless you are having to weigh in for something else too. :eek: But for the group challenge, you can just weigh on the start day and the end day if you want to. (P.S. If you want to be on Scarlett's team, I might be able to arrange it. ;) )

Wow, I wake up to two very inspiring things this morning. Number one, the scale was kind again this morning. And number two, so many nice visits after I went to bed. You guys are awesome.

Thought I'd answer individually this time....

cannnon - it's funny you mention that because I was having a talk with my husband before we fell asleep last night and I was explaining my plan for maintenance. And when I mentioned having little splurges here and there he said that the exercise could compensate for that. And I hadn't thought about it that way. But once I find my ideal caloric intake number not including exercise, then when I splurge...like you say I will have room to play by compensating for it with exercise. And that makes me incredibly happy to know!!!!

thanks Bize, Von, Mrs Bear and twinmom - as that number keeps getting smaller of what I have left to lose it makes me so happy I feel like crying!!!! It's like I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel and it makes me pretty emotional (and typically I am not an emotional kind of gal!!)

jeniffufa - to be honest my motivation is you. You and every other person on this forum. You have helped me immensely by sharing your stories, your successes, your heartbreaks. By letting me speak my piece and offering words of support. This is what makes this time around different for me. I truly believe I would not be able to do this without all of you.

hillbillylee - you know it baby!!!! And I happen to be a kind of curvy woman even at my goal weight.....so I know all about it!!!! Plus, Trace is hot!

Pineola - I would love to be on a team with you...let's bribe Hypo!!!!

Hypo - consider yourself duly bribed!! And honey you can do anything you want in my diary!!!

sday - I didn't think about my screen name before in that matter but you are SO RIGHT!! She was stubborn as a mule. And I guess that's what we do need in this weight loss game, is some down home hard headedness. Nice observation!

Crunchie - I sure hope so it will drop off in no time...but if it takes a few months I will be totally ok with that as well. Today is one of the days I work in my office (the rest of the time I work from home). So it's not that exciting but I do plan to go buy a new pair of tennis shoes on my lunch hour because I have worn my old pair out!!! That's never happened before. But I just calculated that since I started walking about ten weeks ago I've walked over 200 miles!!!

wow ! more weight lost!!! i am so impressed....scarlett - what kind of plan are you on? i guess i could go back and find it in your diary but curios as to what you do for exercise/food intake as i am so jealous of your successes and want to be like you!!!! he he he...seriously, curiousity is looming and i am so impressed with you and your successes!!
 
Frankly, Scarlet I don't give a....Oh well, really I do. Great work on the weight loss. The thing about having a little splurge that people forget is you don't have to compensate for it all in one day. If you're maintaining and one day you have 700 extra calories, it's a lot healthier to take out those calories over 7 days instead of 1. Exercise is a great way to do it too.
 
But, but.... I want you on my team!! ;) ;) Hmmm... I really haven't thought about whose team I was going to be on. I'll have to consider that. Lol! :D You know, now even if I did find out your real name, I would probably still think of you as Scarlett. Lol! ;) Congratulations on losing more weight! :D
