Sasse's Weight Loss Diary

Well its after 12 am, and I am actually going to sit and write in my Diary..*yay*
Its been a really long week for me both physically and mentally. On monday i had a lump removed from my breast... Really simple procedure but it left me with 9 stitches and a little anxiety. Ate more than i should because i was feeling the need for comfort. So..enough of that because eating stuff i really dont even want acomplishes absolutely nothing. Sooooooo.... Tonight I came home from work, poured a big glass of water with some lime, made a wonderful salad with all sorts of goodies in it and just relaxed. Ive just put warm clean sheets from the drier on my bed. (there is nothing like getting comfy in a fresh bed) I am going to take advantage of the fact that i get to sleep in a little tomorrow morning and im going to celebrate the fact that i didnt go into a huge tail spin of bad eating habbits...i had a couple off days and now its time to recover from it all.
Im looking forward to a new day!!! :D

Thanks for stopping in Sophie, nice to see you. I didnt do well with posting this week at all, but I will be trying to do so more. Thanks for the compliments on the food choices..Im trying to make it interesting for myself..lol

Boy I havent been by for awhile *blows away the cobwebs* Ha Ha Ha - sorry I have been by in awhile- you know what Ive been going through and Ive just been trying to keep myself from sinking...anyway im grateful you have come into my life when you did - you are a great support for me...i enjoy our friendship and appreciate it...I dont feel I can lean on many...and it isnt something I do well...so thanx for being you :):):)

Smiles... what a nice thing to say. Never worry about sinking, no one will let you do that. :) I understand when you cant stop in, and we talk outside of this anyways..so noooooooo worriessssss...lol. Hmmmmmm I had better keep up on my dusting though...nasty lil cobwebs ;)

Ohhhhhh what a loooooooong dayyyyyyyy!..lol. I can honestly say that i love my job, but when all the individuals i support are feeling crappy...it makes for a long shift. After work I went to see my dad, who lives in a group home. He told me about this letter he got from his dad. He said that gramps moved to Russia to work and is dating all sorts of women and really living his life... *** I should mention that if Grandpa was alive, he would be about 110 years old*** I just said...."good for him dad" and dad replies with..."yeah...I just hope he doesnt get any one pregnant" So...I said to dad... "well..if he does...way to go Gramps!" Dad just laughed.
I remember when i used to try to tell him when he wasnt making sense, but now that I know that correcting him only confuses him more,...I just go along with the story. ((shrugs)) keeps him happy.
Soooo... lol...after all of that said..i did have a pretty good day.

9am...woke up ..kind of...lol

tea with splenda and milk
3 egg white omelet with green peppers, mushrooms, spinach and green onions
1 medium pear, sliced
Did about 1/2 an hour on my exercise ball... got pounced on by the cats the entire time. At one point im doing sit ups, with my feet on the ball..and they are sitting on the ball looking down at me..*I really have to remember to lock them both in the bathroom when i exercise at home..lol*

Lunch
water
pink lemon crystal lite
2 lasagna rolls
*** each roll has one lasagna noodle filled with light ricotta, veggie mixture, and spices...then rolled up, topped with tomato sauce and a little cheese..then baked
Salad

Snack:
dark chocolate kitkat bar
**Ok... it was really a treat..not a snack..lol

Dinner:
2 herb biscuits
1 bowl of vegetable soup with lean pork and eggless noodles..
spicy but good
Water

2am...diet coke
cheese stick

 
I had a chocolate bar yesturday was well - lol - peanut butter cups:):):)Im interested in those lazanga rolls - both my kids love lazanga...I think you need to teach me how to cook - tomorrow I need to make some mini quiche...

Why do you need to make mini quiches?...i have a great recipe for them...go to safeway..to the frozen section..open the door of the freezer...lol.you get the picture. ;)
The lasagna rolls are super duper easy...you really can make the filling anything you like. Ill write out the recipe properly for you.

Its late and i thought for sure I would be in bed by now... but something happened..and here i am. I had a good day despite waking up to a headache. Went for a walk then came home and did a little cleaning and laundry... not as much as i wanted, but more than nothing..lol. My daily totals were not too bad.

Breakfast:
Yogurt with and orange
Water with lemon

Snack: two low sugar ginger snap cookies and apple slices, 500ml bottle water

Lunch: Flat bread crackers (4) topped with a seafood mix (prawns, imitation crab, spinach, garlic and low fat cream cheese)
salad

Dinner: Out for sushi
5 gyoza pan fried, 1miso soup, 1 salmon roll and Dan and I split an appetizer tempura
Lots of green tea
one gingerale

12 30am (now) soda water and a cheese stick

Tomorrow Dan and I will be walking at the water shed, so that will be good

Ha Ha Ha - Taneesha and I are going there as well - we decided to make it an every Sunday thing...lol

well we should all go together sometime, I know dan would like it too. As you know, we didn't end up going on Sunday because my ankle was swollen still. Its feeling much better today though. Hopefully the weather stays nice enough for us to walk on Tuesday. :D

Todays totals:
Breakfast:
1 banana
cottage cheese
1 piece raisin toast
500ml water

Lunch:
Tuna salad sandwich with 1 tblsp low fat mayo
1 small pear
1 glass water

Snack:
Chocolate bar :eek: *was good though*

Dinner:
chicken currey with cauliflower, onions and carrots
On brown basmatti rice
1 cup currey mixture, with 3/4 cup rice
Diet coke
Water

11pm.. was starving!
Had some cottage cheese

do you make your own veg curry or is it a bought one? xx

Hi Sophie, its home made..but it is a cheaters version of currey though.
I make a sauce of low fat cream of mushroom or chicken soup, add only half a can of 1 % milk and then currey powder or paste to taste into a bowl, *sometimes ill add a bit of garlic and parsley flakes*whisk until there are no lumps and set aside.
Brown my chicken and onions in a skillet, add whatever other veggies i want in there, pour sauce from bowl over top, cover and simmer for aprox 15 min or until chicken is cooked through and veggies are as soft as you want them.
Its quite tasty.

Hey know anyone who would want to go to the White Strips...they are coming to Deer Lake Park in June...I wanna go but I knwo no one who is interested int hem enough to see them...unless maybe I try to find a date - lol...try being a big word...and part of the equation
 
Just wondering how the rest of your day went...Mine was long as I was thinking abt how long it was and such I thought at you :)
