Sasse's Weight Loss Diary

Yesterday during the day was not so bad for eating..but i did have a girls night last night, and that usually results in much food.

Breakfast:
omelet with salsa and1/4 avacado
toast and cantelope

Lunch:
Wendy's manderin chicken salad
water

Dinner (girls night)
I actually did pretty good, we didnt really have junk food or anything like that and i had little bits of everything
6 large prawns sauteed with asparagus
1/2 chicken roll
smoked salmon wrapped asparagus (ok, i may have had a few of these..lol)
strawberries
homemade black bean salsa with multigrain chips *this salsa rocks the universe!!!*
we all had a brownie
lots and lots of water
I actually decided not to drink, because i really wanted to enjoy the food so i didnt want the extra alcohol calories. (I am also not sure how id feel drinking on my present medication)
I had so much fun!
We do this once a month and everyone throws in 30dollars. One girl leaves with 300 dollars to spend on themselves. *I WON!* Once you have won, your name is taken out of the pot (but you still continue to put in 30 dollars every month) At the end of 10 months..everyone gets 300 bucks to spend on anything that is feelgood and it has to be on yourself.
Its a good excuse to get together as well :)

Wendy's manderin chicken salad? its easy...go to the Wendy's drive thru and say "Ill have a Wendy's manderin chicken salad please" and Snap! its in your hot little hands... lol
Im teasin... well..kind of..that is how i get it...lol
Its regular tossed salad, with chicken breast chunks, orange segmants, nuts and dried noodles..its quite good
As for the recipe book..lol..that is so cute..in all.honesty i LOVE to cook so i do a lot of exploring with recipes to make eating healthy actually taste good. I hate being bored with my meals

I agree totally..lol..we really do have fun. Most of the girls have families and not a lot of free time, so its nice for them to have "adult" time...lol

Well its monday and the start to a very busy week ahead of me. Yesterday I was pretty proud of myself cuz Dan and I went to vancouver and did a lot of walking *im usually a "park as close to the destination as possible" kind of girl*lol..but im really working on that. We went to an amazing market that had tonns of fresh foods and interesting spices and such. We picked up a few salads and then some fresh chicken. We did also get a dessert but ..it was well worth it...lol

Yesterday's totals:

Breakfast:
oatmeal cooked with grated apple and cinnamon.

Lunch:went out to our sunday sushi joint
-shared agadashi tofu
- shared appetizer tempura
- 1 salad shrimp roll (so good they put lots of sprouts and lettuce in this
- 1 alaska roll
- green tea
Water

Dinner:
smoked paprika and garlic chicken ( olive oil, peppercorn mustard, smoked paprika and garlic) let chicken marinate for at least an hour

orzo salad with spinach and olives (store bought)
sprouted grain salad (store bought)
dessert...mousse of some sort..lol good

Dan and I went for a long brisk walk at the park while the chicken was marinading..so that felt really good.

Yayyyyyyyyy my work week is almost over!!!!!
What a crazy week. I have been running like crazy but last night i slept and slept and slept. It felt just great and today i feel much more energetic.

Yesterday's totals:
Breakfast:
Hot lemon water
fruit smoothie with soy protein powder and almond milk

Lunch:
large salad with pear slices, fetta and salmon
water, diet coke
snack
banana
green tea
water

Dinner:
quinoa pasta with olive oil, roasted red peppers, prawns and asiago cheese
water and tea

Snack
100 cal pack of oreo cookies
 
Such a beautiful day out today...though chilly.
Went out for a walk with Cerella and Taneesha, which felt good because it has kinda put some pep in my step for today. Its also great to visit with a friend while exercising cuz it makes it way more enjoyable and fast. Im going to make dinner for Dan tonight and tomorrow he is making a picnic lunch for us. *I love it when he cooks for me*
I didnt have breakfast this morning (oops) i chose to sleep in..which i enjoyed..lol

Lunch, I went through McD's and grabbed a kids meal. hamburger, apple pieces, water and I gave the toy to Cerella's daughter..lol
It was enough to give me energy
Had a little popcorn (very good)
Snack:
Pear and a cheese stick

Dinner will be...
spicy red snapper with mango salsa
Tossed salad with pears and LF fetta
home made dressing
brown basmatti rice

Dessert... Strawberries and whipped yogurt (really good...tastes like mousse)

Tonight Dan and I are going to see his brothers band play at a club in Vancouver, so it should be a fun night.

hope you had fun and had a drink or two hehe :D as for that whipped yogurt, you make it or is that a product you have over there hehe
