Had a really stressful day today but managed to stick to my diet even though I was very tempted to get take-out for tea. Saved myself money and ate fairly healthy. Its going to be a tough week or so as I have a big exam coming up that I must pass, on a subject I don't really care for! After that I get a well deserved 2 weeks holiday so thats the only thing keeping me going.

Breakfast
Nothing again!

Lunch
Cereal (189 calories)
Non-fat milk (68 calories)

Dinner
Sausage and mashed potatoes (545 calories)
Vegetables (50 calories)
Strawberries (54 calories)

Snacks
2 dried fruit bars (82 calories)

Total for the day = 988 calories (212 spare for evening snack)

Am planning to do exercise this evening and hopefully some more during the rest of the week as I haven't done half as much as I set out in my diet rules. I think I may look into doing some kind of class at the local sports centre because going to something regularly would be better for me that just deciding to exercise when I could just as easily watch the tv.

Having another stressful day - why is it that bad things seem to happen all together. So I sorted out yesterdays problem, got all my work handed in this morning then my step-dad calls with bad news - too complicated to go into but am a little worried. Have manged to curb the eating but is very difficult when I don't have my boyfriend here for support. Usually I turn to food but I have worked hard to make this a good start to my diet and I don't want to ruin it. Gonna throw myself into my books and try and revise for my exam to take my mind off things.

Dinner
Oven chips (200 calories)
Chicken in peppercorn sauce (230 calories)
Peas (100 calories) - I didn't realise how calorie heavy they were!

Snacks
1 dried fruit bar (41 calories)

Total for the day = 827 calories (373 spare for evening snack)

I was thinking about using the spare calories for a treat like a chocolate bar or bag of crisps but have decided against it because I think if I start eating bad food I will just end up pigging out and I don't want that. Instead I am going to use them for some plain popcorn and curl up in bed this evening with a film and my kitty.

Have done no exercise again - oops! But have joined the August 10 pound club. Hopefully by the end of August I will be 10 pounds lighter. Although I think this is a little more than my average weight loss, even losing 6-8 pounds would be great and is good as a half way mark to my birthday party where I want to be 140 pounds.
 
I forgot I had to confess I had a diet pepsi today. I know if has about 2 calories but I was trying to quit fizzy drinks and caffeine. It was better than the alternatives though. All my friends were having double-mocha-crazy-fattening-with-extra-cream coffee thingys (not a coffee drinker so don't get what all the names mean :)) but I stuck to diet pepsi - proud of myself in that way!
 
Good job about just drinking the diet pepsi! I hope your day gets less stressful! Good job with staying strong on the diet! :)
 
The stress is still there but I have managed not to break my diet once! I am so pleased with my will power this week and I am hoping it will show for the weigh in tomorrow morning. I have got the new scales I may find that I have put on weight as my original weights won't be comparable, but I know I have done well all week so I will try not to be disheartened.

I have had a good day of revision, sat in the garden with the sunshine, and drank plenty of water. In all its been a good day. I am planning another hour or so of revision after writing this, then I will watch a film as a treat.

I lost 0.6 pounds this week. Was a little disappointed at first but then realised that I have lost 8 pounds in total in 2 weeks and that is still impressive. The new scales probably haven't helped either as they are more accurate than my old ones. Think I may just ignore the weight and carry on as I am. Next week I am sure will be better.

Good Job Rubber Duckie!! You've been doing great so far!!! Don't get discouraged! .6 lbs IS better than nothing!
 
Over the disappointment and onto Week 3. My goals for this week are:

1) Stick with same level of calorie intake
2) Much more exercise (only did 1 hour last week)
3) Drink plenty of water
4) Revise for exam
5) Pass exam!
6) Don't weigh myself until next Sunday

Had a good day today, plan to start my exercising in a minute with my work-out tape. Not done as much revision as I would have liked but still have 2 days to go before the exam. Was feeling a bit lonely, but found out my boyfriend can make it back this next weekend to see me - yippee! Its really nice to have something to look forward to.

Did 30 mins exercise today, better than nothing I guess! Need to get into a routine of doing exercise or at least find a hobby that I would be more interested in following.
 
Another boring day of revision :mad:. I find it quite dull going over the same material over and over again - especially because its a speciality that doesn't interest me at all! At least I got to sit out in the sun whilst revising, and only one more day of it before I have the exam - and then I get a break for 2 weeks!!

For some reason my tummy was rumbling all day long and have felt very hungry even though I have been eating similar things to the previous weeks without this problem. Have put it down to either the 2 cans of diet coke I had today, or the fact that I have been eating breakfast. I find that when I have breakfast I am actually more hungry throughout the day than if I skip it all together (is that weird?)

I too found that since I started eating a good breakfast I was hungry a few hours later - thus I followed with an apple every work day. I used to have horrible eating habits - coffee...coffee...coffee...than something for supper sometimes. Are you fitting in snacks? NAT
 
I get hungry if I eat breakfast also! I hate eating breakfast because it always makes me MORE hungry throughout the day!!

YAY for you two week break... almost ;)
 
Hi yall thought id just rude my way in lol. once i started eating breakfast my weight did come under control but I'm more hungry now than b4. I could go all day without eating now just a few hours after having had I'm starved.

So I guess for the time being I should stick with the breakfast! I thought it would be more healthy to eat more meals during the day. Maybe I should try and find some more low-cal snacks to eat during the day to get rid of the hunger!

Weigh-in for August 10 pound club this morning = 157.6. I am so pleased the weight is still going down after only seeing a small change on Sunday. Will weight myself as per usual on Sunday.
