Risty's Diary (Christina)

Hey Risty, I have been terribly negligent in posting in anyone's diaries the last little while, but I see that you haven't been here a few days. I hope all is well. Any news on the house? Hope things are working out for you with eating on plan and cycling. Have a great weekend!

Moving

Hey Risty,

Was your sister's offer accepted? Purchasing a home can be a bit stressful. I know my husband was pretty tense during ALL the paperwork, but we love our new house. I hope this all works out for you.

Hey Christina,

I hope everything's going well for you. I've been away for a few days myself getting my life in order, so it's good you're taking time out for yourself. I hope your workouts are still going according to plan...and you've healed nicely too.

Enjoy your day :)

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for checking in on me. I've been really busy most of the time so I haven't had time to come on and whatnot.

My sister's offer has been accepted so that's been a big thing. We haven't started packing yet, but we need to. We have to be out by the end of the month. We can actually start moving our things in July 23, my sis has to be completely moved by then because of her condo selling and that's when the new people are moving, but we don't have to move until the end of the month. So I will still be busy so I may not be on so much until everything is done.

To be honest, I started biking and biking to CK and it went well. But I got busy a few days and couldn't and since then I haven't done a single thing. It kind gets me upset that I'm failing right now but I have been busy and to be honest I just needed a break. Even though I had one from my surgery, this is different. I have just been really stressed out with the whole moving thing and with work that I didn't want to even think about exercise and I just wanted to relax.

Once I move, I'm going to buy a treadmill so that I can slowly learn to run (in the privacy of my own house). Also, it'll be good for days that I just don't want to go to CK. Sometimes it's nice to just go home. So I will be going to CK but I also will be getting a treadmill. If I don't go to CK then I will do the treadmill to one of my many fav tv shows, lol.

So yes, I've been doing bad, but I just couldn't handle it. My brain has been about to explode being so stressed :p I know that exercise can help relieve stress I've just been kinda down about everything and feeling like a failure. So even though I have been busy, the times I do have a lil bit of spare time I've been too down to even come on my computer. So today, that's changing.

Once I move, then I'll get back to it. I'll still be checking in but with packing and moving things it won't be so much. But I'll definately be on more than before, and definately in August I'll be back the way I used to :)

I have to take my bf to the bank so later tonight or tomorrow I will check in with your diaries :)

Risty first of all, yay! and hello :) I'm happy to know what's been going on. I am sorry that you are feeling overwhelmed. Take all the time you need and then once your situation is stable and settled you will certainly be back in your routine, and even adding in a treadmill? That's great. Focus on yourself, that is most important. :hug2:

Risty, first of all its nice to hear from you. It does get difficult to come on here when you're busy and you're entitled to take a break anytime you want. When you come back, we're here (except those taking a break :)).

You really shouldn't be feeling like a failure at all. You've lost a bunch of weight already and frankly, your body starts to plateau and get tired after a while and consequently it stops losing the fat. I personally find it a good thing to take a maintenance break after several months of being on your plan, and I think its fine to take breaks from exercise when you're just sick of it or you're busy. I know I do and I dont feel too guilty about it. Despite that, I've ALWAYS resumed my exercise after a break and I think that's very important to maintaining a decent weight.

But I think the main point is that you dont get back into old overeating habits while you're on your maintenance break. You dont have to be so strict that you lose weight, but you just dont want to gain back any of that hard lost fat. That's all I ask from you Risty! Just maintain your weight until you move and get settled, then kick it up again to get the rest off.

In the meantime, try to relax. Everything will go smoothly.

Glad to see you back risty! :)

Take your time, packing and stuff can be stressful. And as others have mentioned, taking a little short break isn't bad at all.

For me now, though, when I get stressed out, I don't eat! :(

Hey, you whole lotta beautiful, how nice to see your post! Sounds like you have a plan to get back in the game, so that's great. A treadmill or elliptical trainer with the telly is absolute heavan. Good luck with the move and everything. See you on here soooooooon.:jump:
