Risty's Diary (Christina)

But when I'm biking to work I feel like I'm accomplishing something, sounds stupid, but it really feels that way just because I never thought I would do anything like this...ever. lol

I think that's so cool. You're right though, because I never would think of myself as the type of person to join a group exercise course or certainly not someone to hit the gym everyday. It's awesome that you're strengthening yourself in such a way. I can't wait to see the results that come from all of your hard work, the biking, CK, and healthy lifestyle in general. Good for you :)

Well, today was pretty crappy. Things didn't go as planned, I didn't get to go to my CK. I was really upset about it.

First of all I have to do the front desk shift this week and I hate it, especially at this one office and that office is the one I'm working at. It's so busy and the people there don't like to help much, so it makes for a very stressful day.

On the way to work my bike decided to kinda break on me. The handle bars just all of a sudden sunk and it scared the crap outta me and I swirved and being on the highway that's not a good idea! So I had to pull up the handle bars and try not to put any pressure. Also I was scared to change any of the gears because a lot of them made horrible noises and I knew it wasn't right. So that started my day off swimmingly. I had to get my mom to pick me up from work to take it to the shop to get it fixed. I know why it's crappy it's because they didn't have it made on time and rushed to put it together. Now it should be fine cause the person checked it out and tightened things and fixed the gears and stuff (apparently something got stretched which wasn't from my doing only biking twice!) So anyways, getting the bike fixed is the reason I missed my CK class... yay.

Then at work no one would help me on the phones and I had tons of patient and walk-ins coming in, and the phones would not stop! This one lady I know couldn't help because the thing she was doing had to be done without interruption so the other lady is supposed to help. She didn't. But she has the nerve to say, line one has been on hold for a long time. I was just like, I know. So the lady who wasn't supposed to help and do her thing came to help me when the other lady should have been helping! She was just booking appointments for this one thing (which isn't important because she'll have ALL day to do it tomorrow and they're almost caught up with it) she just doesn't like answering the phone which makes me so mad.

So basically I was stressed like crazy because there was so much going on and wasn't getting the help. I hate working that shift at that office and I'm stuck doing it all week. And I have another week of that in a couple weeks... I swear it's gonna drive me nuts.

Tomorrow I'll get to bike to work and then to my CK and I should be back on track with those plans, so that's good.

Sorry for the rant, I just had to get it out and hopefully tomorrow is a better day! I think it will be because it's a slow day for the other 2 ladies and so they'll be able to help me at the front, but the rest of the week will be as normal, so moreso I'm hoping from weds-fri will go better than it did today.

First of all I'm really sorry about that dreadful woman at work. Your day was terrible, and I can't imagine how scary it must have been to have the handlebars sink while cruising on the highway. I don't like curbs in a residential area, let alone a malfunction on a busy road. I totally hope tomorrow is a better day and you're able to have a decent day at work as well as make it to your CK because I know you're totally ready to get back to it. I'm sending good vibes your way! :hug2:

Hey there Christina! Been pretty busy lately and just never got the time to get on here for any length of time. :(

Looks like you are doing great these days! My wife and I are now talking about taking our bikes in for an overhaul and get them all dialed in and ready to go and possibly do some bike rides around Mission Bay or something like that. We get our exercise in and our fair dose of "People Watching" at the same time! :D

Sorry your having a crappy day! The day is young it will
get better for ya.Thank you for pulling me out of a suimp
over there <---- you are very inspiring/motivating and make
me feel I can do this!! Have a great day Tammy

Thanks guys!

My day yesterday was much better. For one my bike is all fixed and working wonderfully! And the work day was slow for the other two workers so I got help at the front, woo!

As for exercise, I biked to work. It's so close I almost wouldn't count it. I went for a walk at lunch, nothing speedy just a nice walk. Then I biked to my CK class which is even closer for that work than my ride to work to begin with. Then I did my CK which was awesome, felt so good to be back. Then they're trying yoga to see how popular it is, so I tried that! Man was that ever hard. Everyone was twitching trying to stay balanced it was kinda funny. Then I had to ride the whole way back which was kinda hard after all that, but I made it!

As for exercise today... I'm doing all the above. The only difference is that there's no yoga but a self defense class which I'll do instead.

Have a great day everyone!

WOW on exercise girl - damn the weight will be fallin off you :):):) Today is the day I get my room cleaned and vacummed so I cna start doing yoga agian I am so excited - I miss it terribly and so does my little one :):):) Im sorry for your crappy day the other day but at least yesturday was better :):):)

I've gotta say wow too! I'm so happy yesterday was better for you and I really hope today went just as well. That's cool that you took a yoga class! I still haven't tried it. I do want to eventually though. I'm so curious to know how the self-defense course went! Also thank goodness your bike is fixed and secure, that must feel wonderful knowing everything is all good. Hope you're having a nice night! :)

Risty, I am so glad you bounced back after the surgery, and didn't fall back into a sedentary life style. Keep up the riding and the good work :)

Hey! Weds went well! I biked to work, went on a walk at lunch, biked to my CK and did that, then did the self defense and then biked home. I was the only one who stayed for the self defense so I got a private lesson, lol. It was so fun, I love that kinda stuff.

Yesterday I didn't bike to work because of the rain. I didn't go to CK because it was my bf's grandma's b-day! So I wasn't going to miss that. I'm not going to bike or go to CK today because I had such a late night and barely got any sleep, so I'm kinda out of it. I will go on sat, or at least do something on sat.

Anyways, the reason we had a late night was because my sis and her husband are looking for a house or something like that to move into. Their condo is in the process of getting sold, next week the offer will be finalized so hopefully the people don't change their mind. So anyways because they're getting something bigger, they won't be able to afford the morgage on their own so that's where my bf and I come in. We're going to be living with them when they get a bigger place.

They were thinking about this townhouse, 3 story, very nice. Only thing is it's a bit expensive and it's far out. We looked at this one duplex and it was a piece of crap. Then last night we looked at this other duplex at around 9:30 at night. It's really nice. It's huge, they just redid the flooring and paint and all that so it's nice on the inside. It also has a new roof. The outside looks not as nice, but whatever, it's the outside. The good thing is this duplex, the bottom floor is a suite so my bf and I would have our own space. Also, another good thing is if we have to move, then they won't be stuck, they can rent it out. Which that was a concern for the townhouse because you're sharing living space and so you can only rent to family and you only have so much family. So yeah. Finally at midnight they decided to put an offer. So the guy is gonna submit the offer today and we'll see how it goes.

If all goes well my bf and I will be moving by the end of next month. I'm kinda excited about it. Good thing is, is it's in a good location, almost right by where we're living now so it's very central!

Anyways, I must be off to work. I'll catch up on everyone's diary at some point either tonight or tomorrow!

Hey Christina,

I'm glad everything's been going well for you. I hope work is much better and you've not been too stressed.

Good luck with the new house and moving and all! Very exciting! I'm hoping to get my own place soon too...really exciting - a new phase in life..

Good work with the biking and your return to CK class. I'm off to bed now so ciao..

Holy Risty I can't believe you biked to work, to CK and then home...that's some good amount of exercise in one day! That's cool you two sister couples are moving in together. I love looking for cars and houses...it's just fun. I agree, cares what it looks like on the outside...it's the inside that counts. Good luck on the duplex!

Hey thanks everyone! The thing my sister doesn't like about it, is that it's not in a 'neighborhood'. It's not like you turn down a lil side street and there's a bunch of houses and thing, that's kinda what she wants. The duplex is on not a main street, but it's not down a lil street with a bunch of houses and that makes it not pretty to her. The thing is though, she wants it close to the hopspital because that's where she'll be working and she wants to bike. This half duplex is so close to the hospital it would literally be a 5-10 min bike ride at most. Another thing they wanted was big, and it's big. They also wanted a suite so we could have our own space and if we moved they could rent it out so they could keep affording it. They also wanted a few bedrooms so whenever they have kids they'd have the room. Her husband was also wanting a backyard and it has a nice lil backyard. So all in all it's exactly what they want minus the pretty neighborhood! I told her, that's the least important thing on the list and everything else you have. One day you can sell it and move to something better, but this is perfect for right now. It's also the cheapest one in that area! Everything else near that area isn't affordable at all. So yeah, it's really the best thing to get out of all her options I think.

Anyways, I better go, I'm feeling a bit nauseated and I know I need to eat but I don't really want to ><

Wow Risty congrats! You are melting away! It seems everyone is
haveing a gr8 week,time for me to try to,I am jealous lol.Have a nice
Sunday Tammy

:) Risty that sounds really exciting. I agree that appearance is not the major thing an everything else sounds just about perfect. I hope the offer is accepted and it all goes through, that could be really nice. Fantastic job on CK, bike-riding, and self-defense. You're certainly getting in a well-rounded workout. Good for you, make sure you get in all your cals though!

Missin ya, hope everything is cool! If that offer went through then I bet you're crazy busy packing and such. Which is a lot of work and hassle, but it sounds like it would be very worth it for the new place. Have a nice night Risty. :)
