Renewing my sense of worth. Again.

On another, more AWEFUL note, its now -17f outside. WITH a negative windchill. Eff my life. Freezing. :(

I hear you - this morning it's -26 with the wind, so chilly! I have my heater on at work because I just can't warm up.
Nice job on the work outs! I love the good sore feeling - makes me feel like I worked my body hard! Keep it up!
 
Good sore is great, and now I'm sure I've got muscles, lol. They're just buried under a layer of chub is all, hahaha!
 
Today was a decent day. Worked 11-7, slooowww at work, blah. Makes it go so much slower. Psh. Came home, watched BL finale with my sister- loved that Danny won, he got hot! Wasn't super thrilled that Rebecca won at home. She annoys the piss outta me. Hmm. And I hated her hair, lol. Afterwards my sister and I went and got some groceries- hadta get some lean cuisines cuz they were only 1.88, and yeah, I've been trying to be a more hands on make your own meals kinda person, but those lean cuisines are definately nice for when ya just don't have time to get it done. By the time we got home, it was bout 1am... lateeee. Thank god I don't work till 3pm tomorrow :rolleyes: lol! Got ready for the gym, got out to my car, which I hadn't been in since I got home at 715, annndddd it won't start. Lovely. I've had the car almost five years, the only owner, its my baby; this is the first time this has happened. I know its cold, (again about -14f) but have we realllly never had this cold of a winter in the past four and a half years?! Seems weird to me. I just hope it starts tomorrow :( Anyway, borrowed my sisters car to get to the gym. TO much work lollll.

Food for the day:

b- turkey bowl- 315c, 2f

snack- odwalla bar- 210c, 5f

l- lean cuisine and watermelon- 370c, 11f

snack- fullbar- 160c, 4f

snack?- pita pizza- 465c, 3f (added some pineapple to it, so it was a bit higher in cals than yesterdays)

s- turkey stroganoff with mixed veggies- 435c, 2f
exotic chips- 200c, 4f

Soooo, calories ended up at 2155, with about 30g of fiber.
124oz water.

Gym: Didn't do any weights tonight.
Crosstrainer: 30min, 2.50miles
Treadmill: 30min, 1.3miles

Yeah, so the treadmill was definately not my best work, lol. I didn't really put it at a very fast pace, stayed right around 3 to 3.5mph, and had an incline of 3. Just wanted to make myself do a little bit extra. HOPEFULLY that little extra burned off a little of the extra calories I ate, hahahaaa! I wanna stay at around 1800 cals per day, so I went over by about 350 :( not horrible. not great. Meh. Its a wash :rolleyes:
 
Wow you all really get the cold weather there. It's 67 degrees here today. Of course it's storming but the normal is about 30 or 40 here in GA. I hope your day goes well. I hate having car trouble.
 
Its official. Car needs a new battery :( Its not completely dead, but five years for a battery is a lonnng time, and it just took some low temps to not let it get enuf juice :rolleyes: efffffff. Luckily, I have my old car still, a 96 Monte Carlo that we decided not to get rid of when I got a new car and my sister got her new car, and it has a brand new battery in it :) It hasn't been started at ALL this year, but when I turned the key, it started like a chammmp. Thank goodness for that. I don't have a day off till Saturday, so I may hafta pour boiling water on the battery to get it to start up, and then run to Wal Mart and get a new one put in...

Annnnyway, gotta get ready for work n stuff, just needed to vent a second, lol!
 
Another decent day today :) Other than my car being sick, things were good. I can, however, tell that TOM is coming, uggh, :( and I hate that. Psh. Worked 3 to midnight, so after I got off work I ate some supper and then hit the gym. Woooo. the life I lead man, the life.i.lead. :rolleyes:

Food for the day:

Umm, didn't really HAVE breakfast cuz I slept in soooo late, lol(due to going to the gym so late last night), but we'll call this breakfast :)
b: Leftover turkey stroganoff with veggies- 435c, 2f

snack: energy bar- 140c, 0f

L: sushi! Yum :) - 400c, 7f
watermelon, bout two cups- 100c, ?f

snack: 1 slice of poundcake. Arrghh! It was really tiny, and I coulda taken more, but I stopped myself at the one slice when they set it down, lol. And honestly- I was craving some hardcore sugar, so the fact that I CAN in fact eat a small piece and just SAVOR it was good to know :D

Supper after work: wrap thingy; 1 la tortilla shell(100c, 13f), deli turkey slices(50c, 0f), 1 slice of pepperjack cheese(60c, 0f), lettuce, and little bit of light miracle whip and spicy mustard- 230c, 13f

After workout snack: 1cup of Fiber1 cereal with half cup skim milk- 225c, 9f.
Also, throughout the day I snacked on some exotic chips- 390, 9f.

Total calories: 2020, with 50g fiber. AGAINNNNN with the calories just a little to high... 220 over today. Thats what I get for eating 3 servings of those stupid exotic chips :rolleyes: Also, a LOTTTT of fiber. Wow.
Total Water: only 90oz, little lower than normal.

Gym: Did a few sets/weights each of shoulders and chest, and did tricep
pulldowns.
Crosstrainer: 60minutes, 3.88miles. With a whollleeee variety of intensities and ramp strides.

-Got a GREAT sweat in tonight, and I'm confident that I'll continue in the direction I wanna go in :D Another positive note: I haven't worked out OR stuck to a diet(tho my cals have been a little up) this many days in a row in a lonnnggg time lolll! How exciting!

Going out again Saturday night- have the day off tho, so I think I'll try* to go into the gym during the day just to get a little bit of stuff done. Anyone know of a nice low cal drink I can have one or two of while I'm out?? I always stick to beer, but maybe I need to try somethin else..
Anyway, off to bed finally!

Thank you :) thats what I love about this site: you know that your here to get it done for yourself, but in the long run, ANY little back pats are just wonderful!
 
Had some of the most aweful customers today, they ALMOST ruined my day for me, lol. Luckily, it started off pretty good, so it wasn't enuf cause to ruin it :rolleyes:

snack- more veggies lol. (added this in with the above veggies)

supper- I was still pretty full from all the veggies I ate, but I DID eat a cup
of gelato. AMAZING. 380c, >1f. Maybe too many calories, but it hit
the spot :D

after workout- veggies n cheese- 180c, 4f
half serving of salt n vinegar almonds(mmmmm)- 85c, 1.5f
fruit cup, pineapple- 60c, 1f

water: 86oz. STILL not enuf. Will up it tomorrow for sure.

Total calories: 1775. ROUGHLY. Due to all the veggies eaten, MAY be a little higher. Still managed to get in the area of calories that I want tho, FINALLY! lol.

Total fiber: around 25ish. Decent. Coulda been a little higher.

Workout:

-Didn't do any weights; had ACTUALLY gone to the gym feelin super tired and was just gonna do a bare minimum of 30min cardio, but ended up doing
1 hour and 10minutes on the crosstrainer, 4.51miles. Funny how ya don't wanna, but as soon as ya start, its all good and ya don't wanna QUIT then!

Work 10am to 6pm tomorrow; afterwards a wedding reception at Chuck E. Cheese's, hahaha! awesum :) and will not eat the delish pizza. Hello salad bar! Gym tomorrow night; off work on Saturday, gym during the day, going out at night. Still looking for good not incredibly high caloried drink ideas for the bar if anyone has em ;)

Snack: 100g of amaretto choc chip gelato- 180, 0f

Came home, sat around the house for a bit, ate a few almonds: 85, 1.5f
and 2 cinnamon bears- 65, 0f. HOW can two teensy little cin. bears seem sooo high?? sad. :(

After workout: egg sandwich pita(1 pita-150, 2f; 2 servings egg whites- 50, 0f; 2 slices pepperjack cheese- 120, 0f; 2tbsp lite miracle whip-40, 0f.)- 360, 2f

Water: 76oz. Forgot my water bottle at home today; didn't bring money to buy any :(

TOTAL CALORIES: 2060ish. EFFFFF. Again I'm over by 260. Not HORRIBLY bad overage, but stilllll. Just gotta buckle down and be better! Even tho my salad had a TON of veggies on it, I coulda taken it easier on the blue cheese. That would probably have saved me the overage. Oh well. It was still a decent day :)

Workout: Had actually planned on getting in one last hard workout for the week, but have really bad cramps :( AND forgot a friggin hair clip. I hate hate hate having my hair stick to my face and neck when I'm sweaty, its the worst! So it was a little easier of a workout than I would have tried to do otherwise.

Pretty lame day today. Just covered a coupla hours for someone at work, no biggie there. Its getting colder again, after 2 days of in the 20s and 30s(woo! Friggin heat wave lol), and that sucks. On the upside, I have a zillion adorable winter scarves I can wear finally :rolleyes:

I didn't eat a lot, mostly cuz I slept in super late, but I didn't eat the greatest :blush5: my sister and I went to a Mexi restaraunt, and tho I tried to go healthy-ish, I know it wasn't realy all that healthy. Cripes. Since there was no rhyme or reason to my meals today(ie, no breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc.) I'm just gonna list it out.

Dos Machos- NO IDEA. But, it was chicken cilantro stroganoff on top of a little bit of spanish rice, with tortillas. I only ate half, so at least I wasn't SUPER horrible; and my sister and I split a piece of mud pie. A whole lotta delish in that little slice...
and egg sandwich after my workout- 370, 1f.

workout: half hour of weights- chest and shoulders
cardio: 65 minutes on the crosstrainer. 4.46miles. <--it was a sweaty one :ack2: !!

Ohhh. Duh. Just thought of this: I've been planning on going out tonight alllll week, and at the last minute someone cancelled, and I truly just didn't wanna. Was too worried about spending both money and calories on it, lol. Guess THAT didn't really matter since I ended up eating bad, huh. Anyway, wouldn't have made it to the gym this afternoon like I wanted cuz I slept that late, lol. So, in a way, this worked out. I was able to spend more time at the gym tonight and have the gym to myself. Love that so much!
So I ended up working out every day this week... Incredibly proud of myself... I know I need to give myself a day off here and there, but for now, I'm ok with even a half hour of cardio being done. It keeps me moving, gets my butt off the couch, and makes me feel like I accomplished something. so yayyy!

Decided I would make Sundays my official weigh in days... So tomorrow I'll weight myself first thing in the am to get the best reading. Heres hoping for something great :) I'm a chronic weigher, not gonna lie, I step on the scale every day. BUT, it works for me. If I see the numbers go up, I know I need to push a little harder, same with no changes. It motivates me, so I'm partial to keeping that up :D but Sundays are the official, no bullshit, absolute number day. Crossin my fingas!
 
So today was my "official" 1st weekly weigh in... drum roll pllleasssseeee! Haha, nah. I kid. Anyway tho, I'm down SIX POUNDS. WOOOOHHH!!! Oh my god. I'm so happy I could cry. It PROBABLY coulda been a bigger number if I wouldn't have eaten Mexican last night, TOM hadn't just started, and I had been better about staying within my calories, instead of going over a few hundred every night... But 6lbs aint nothin to sneeze at, and I worked my ass off, figuratively and literally, this week to get that number. Hoping for one just as good next week :)

Alright, off to work, work till midnite, go to the gym, and then I'll make my nightly update!
 
Just got off work. Most horrible cramps right now. Wanna cry :( Took some ibuprofen; hoping itll kick in soon so I can get in a somewhat decent workout... ugggh. horrible. will be back later to update.

Peas and cauliflower salad- cals ALSO unknown(deli item), but I had a very small portion, and even including the light sauce they put on it, I'll guess 200, ??f
Peaches(low sugar)- 80c, 4f

snack: atkins peanut butter cups- 160, 5f

got off at midnite, went to the gym slightly after, so supper is also after workout food: "hot" ham and cheese rollup- 350c, 13f.

water: 90oz.

Total calories: somewhere in the area of 1610ish. Could be more or less, since I'm not quite sure of the cals on lunch.

Total fiber: about 28ish I'm guessing.

Workout:

No weights tonight. Was only gonna do a flat 30min on cardio, but I was watching some good tv, lol, and couldn't quit that early hahaha.
Cardio- crosstrainer 50min, 3.38miles (probably coulda gone to a full hour, but efffff! I was beat. AND, I had already decided to make it a short night, lol)

Felt really damn good all day(minus the TOM cramps, lol) from having a six pound week last week :D hoping for the feeling to last throughout the week!
