Renewing my sense of worth. Again.

I hear ya with the chocolates!! I just can't stop and actually threw out a box this morning on my way to work because I didn't want to come home to them - the crazy thing was I bought it all for my hunnie and ended up eating it all myself - how dumb.
I hate my arms too - they are the worst! I started getting stretch marks on them when I was in grade 8 and now that they are starting to tone up a bit all I can see still is the loose skin and stretch marks - so sad. I am going to work on them more in the New Year - let me know if you find something that really works on toning them up fast!

I Triple the "ARM TALK" here!! :iagree:!!! Maybe we can just focus more on them, ya know!...I bet that we complain way more than we actually do workouts for them!

...and Speaking of Eating It up!...Girls...I must have ate 16 Chocolate Chips Ahoy Cookies yesterday all to myself!...WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!????????... I had to get them out of the house, and that's the way I resorted to. :(

...it's okay...we can Start Fresh, every meal, every day, every moment. No looking back. It's done. Now we can change the present.

:D!....Let's have "ARMS OF STEEL THIS YEAR!" :cheers2:!

Oh.My.God. My calories- oh jeez. I didn't even count half of it.. :( Started out fantastically, ended up eating tons of chocolate again :( Crap.
Hafta get this candy outta my house...

Workout:
Weights! YAY! Finally did em :) chest, and shoulders.
cardio: crosstrainer- 90minutes, 6.11miles

HOPEFULLY all that cardio burned a few of the chocolates off
If you keep up those crazy workouts,....Shieeeeeeet...girl...you'll be at goal in a BLINK! :D! You are inpsiring me!! :D!...Keep it up please!

Yeah.. I think I ate my own weight in chocolate this last week  horr.ib.le. I finally threw some stuff away today that I HADN'T already eaten. It needed to be done. I applaud myself for just doin it already. dang.

Ditto on the arm workouts- if you find something super crazy, TELL ME! The one rediculous thing I've ALWAYS thought- I'm jealous of the fat girls with skinny arms. LOLLLL. How stupid, yeah?! I'm probably more proportionate, but they can get away with tank tops. Psh. Unfair. lol.

Amen to arms of steel! Wooo! lol. And don't fret over the cookies- you'll burn em off. I did that with an entire chocolate orange. Shoulda given it away, or just garbaged it, buuuut there it was, all but screaming at me to "whack and unwrap" it. lol. whack I did. unwrap I did. Gorge myself on orangey chocolate? Ummm, check. Shhiiitttt.

Jess...did you join the New Years Challenge 12 week?! DO IT! If not already! ;)!!!

I think I'm gonna! At first, I thought nawww. Not gonna do it. Buuutttt, I remember the Las Vegas challenge, and how great it was to have all those fabulous people there to encourage, inspire, and just BE there for you/them, and it changed my mind :)

Tonights workout:
a few weights- arms.
cardio: crosstrainer, 105minutes, 7.25miles
--> this was two back to back sessions, as the machine does only sixty minutes at a time with a five minute cooldown. Was actually SUPER excited, because in the first 60min, I did 4.25miles, meaning I FINALLY got over that 1mile=15minutes hump! WOOO~! Second session was the 40minutes, it averaged to a lot less: 2.66miles. Meh, I'm not really upset by that, I was sorta takin it easy on that one. Was actually only gonna do an extra 15minutes, but this stupid show was on VH1, tool academy or some shiz, it was the most goddamn rediculous thing I've ever seen. And I couldn't.quit.watching.it. so yeah, I got some extra miles in, some extra calories burned, extra activity in general. AGAIN hoping that will demolish some of the not so great calories I've eaten the last few days.. ugggh.

Signed up for the 12wk challenge, SOOOO excited! I actually like the challenges because its something to look forward to.. You can't sign up and then walk away, its an obligation to the rest of the challengers, almost. So, for the next 12 weeks for POSITIVE, I'll be here :) workin my ass off(hopefully literally :) )

Goin to bed now, be back tomorrow!

Chocolate is a devil of trying to lose weight. I got a 400g Toblerone for Christmas. That thing is hard to put down. I've been eating salads every day just to make room for an extra 400 calories if I happen to indulge in it.

After seeing more people signing up, I think I might join that challenge too. Good luck! :)

Hiya Jess! Happy New Year!! I gave most of my chocolate away. The stuff I kept I shouldnt have. I havent weighed myself at all in the last two weeks, afraid to jump on the scale, but jumping on tomorrow morning and getting real. Sounds like everyone is having trouble with chocolate. But you are back on track, doing the crosstrainer. Awesome! Now I just need to make it outside lol which I did today, but tomorrow I will make it an all day, We are having massive! storms from Friday through Sunday, icks, but still gonna walk through them.

I hope your doing well! Thanks for checking in my diary, I have had a few down days. You know how that is, I got off track... but I am back.

Jess,

Just signed on today and finished reading your diary. Sounds like you really do have a lot of ups and downs. But it is good to hear that you are sticking to it. Good for you! Hope the new year brings you your desired results!

Oh jeez. Fell asleep on the couch. Not going to the gym tonight... :blush5: I'm a little embarrassed! I know that I won't be going TOMORROW night, fershur, so I was gonna make this night a killer workout.. I guess that on Friday, I'll hafta really hit the gym hard in order to make up for it. AND with the challenge starting on Friday, I guess all that water will be a terrific day to start, lolllll.

Happens to the best of us. I had every intention of walking on the treadmill last night when my husband came home with a pile of work and a pleading look of desperation. So I forfeited my workout to help him get everything done before 1 AM instead of him staying up half the night to do it himself. Lie gets in the way sometimes and you just need to power forward with will and determination. Heck, I dreamed that I worked out last night so does that count?

hahahaaa. if the dreams counted, i would be americas next top model.

Last night: Umm, yeah. I drank a wee bit too much beer. Uggh. Had fun tho. Played lotsa beer pong, so my arms got some exercise, yeah? This morning: leaving my friends house I came down a hill and the road had a slight turn to it, annnnd my car decided not to turn. Oiii. Off the road. Into the ditch. Into the fence. Which LUCKILY was like a plasticy fence, lol. No damage done to either, woo! Anyway, got STUCK in the ditch. Spent 5 minutes trying to go forward and back, to no avail. Tried calling everyone at the friends house: HAAA! Everyone was still passed out. Uggh. Had to call my damn EX to get someone elses phone number that was there. Grr. That was awkward a bit. So I call the other friend, he answers right away, thank GOD! So he says he'll be there in a minute with his truck. 15 minutes later, still not there... He calls me: "Umm, Jessie, did I pass you?" hahahaaa. Not only am I stuck in a snowy damn ditch, I went the wrong direction. FML. Redic. He gets there, hooks up a rope to my car, I throw it into reverse and I'm out. He says he didn't even effin PULL me. lollll! Oh lord. I was literally freaking out about being stuck, when in reality, I only needed to be moved about an inch thataway. Day 1 of 2010: Started off with a bang. Hopefully not an indicator of whats to come...

Was a super lazy slug ALL day long. DIdn't do a damn thing. Whatevv. Had half of a subway sandwich. Slept. Read a magazine. Slept. Ate the other half of my sandwich. Slept. Finally got up to go to the gym bout midnite with my sister. But ate some mac n cheese right before I left. Uggh, bad idea. I felt miserable doin my cardio being full. Never againnnn. Drank 140oz of water today. Rehydrated after my beer filled evening, AND met the goal for the 12wk challenge. woo!
Gym: pretty damn basic. Crosstrainer for 65minutes; 4.52miles. <--- honestly surprised that I made it that far. I thought at about 20 minutes I was gonna quit and go back home...
Work tomorrow 11-8; gym. NO boozin.

Glad to hear that you were okay after that ordeal! And no, beer pong doesn't really count as exercise... though I was really thin in college! Hmmm, maybe there is a correlation?

Either way, you had a relatively lazy day BUT you did workout AND you drank all your water! Woohoo! Look at the glass half full and forget about all the negatives! One of my mentors once told me 'At the end of every day you need to ask yourself, what did I do to better me today?' He said that by doing one thing a day to make yourself a better person WILL eventually add up to a whole new you. Granted, we were talking about my business at the time but I truly believe it works here as well.
