Renewing my sense of worth. Again.

Food today: NO GOOD! Well, PARTIALLY good. But I ate pizza for supper AND like almost a whole bag of damn chocolate donuts. Realllly? I don't even REALLY like them- they make my teeth feel funny. Must be pre-tom. Dammit.

Workout: Just cardio, as I didn't quite make it to the gym early enuf for weights. MUST break outta that mindset. Gotta start goin earlier.
Cardio: crosstrainer- 75minutes, 5.26miles. I'm pretty happy with this number: My original 65minutes on the crosstrainer I started out at just over 4miles in that time, and I've been getting just the teensiest bit better every week. Verrrry Exciting :)

Gotta get off here early; workin 10-3. Meh. Kind of a shitty shift, but its extra hours, I never turn em down!

For the record: Day 2 of 2010= good :)
 
No gym tonight. My plan is to get more sleep tonight than I have been getting, and go to the gym wayyyy earlier than I normally do tomorrow. Food- sorta half and half today. Not sure why I wanna binge on crap... think I need more fruit around the house- if I'm GONNA binge on sugary sweetness, the least I could do is eat too many strawberries, or too much cantaloupe, lol. NOT a half a bag of hershey kisses. EFFFFF.
 
cardio: crosstrainer, 105minutes, 7.25miles

Someday I'm going to be able to do over 7 miles on a cross trainer in an hour and three quarters and still live. I do about 60 meters a minute on the machine at level 13. I don't know if there is any standard calibration, but by my reckoning, if I was able to keep going for 105 minutes at that rate, which I couldn't, I'd do 6300 meters which is less than 4 miles. I tend to do around 110 steps per min. The fastest I can get the machine up to is a little over 150 spm which would have the machine bleeping at me after 30 secs that my heart rate is too high and I'm going to die. Even that rate wouldn't be fast enough to keep up with you at your two hour marathon pace. I reckon if they had a cross trainer event in the Olympics, you'd be in there with a shout.

Thought I would drop by!

So you are finding yourself binging, probably your diet/lifestyle change was shook up and still is. Binging and feeling out of control with good stinks. It does help having fruit around. I used to eat Strawberries at night, usually I didnt gain anything when binging on fruit. But are you more stressed recently? bored and you eat or binge? There could be unconcious reasons your binging. I binge when I am stressed, bored, etc. I havent been doing too much of that recently, I am starting to get back on track. Its hard to remember to eat and than When I do, I eat too much. I do have a schedule. Its no real science, just need to eat when I planned, but as you know... that can be difficult. I am sure you will figure out whats going on with the binging.

I'm not TOO overly stressed or anything... bills and whatnot, but thats bout it :) Today was MUCH better, so I think I may be getting back on track :D
 
Today was MUCH better as far as food went :) still went a bit over my calories- after my workout I made an endive n avocado salad with a little bit of blue cheese crumbles mixed with sour cream, and after eating it ate the other half of the avocado cuz it was SOOO delish! The avocado itself accounts for almost 300 cals... :( holy crap!

Todays food:
b-turkey bowl- 320c, 2f
snack- smartcorn- 100, 1
l- steamfresh noodle meal thingy- 520, 4
atkins pbcups- 160, 5
applesauce- 50, 1
snack- pb on whole wheat- 360, 4
supper- 2 turkey sausages, no buns, with small amt ketchup n mustard- 270, 0
after workout: endive n avocado salad, with blue cheese n sour cream(lofat)- 573, ??f eek...

total cals: 2353. Ummm, ouch. I did NOT think it was that high a minute ago, till I counted it :( I woulda been FINE if I wouldn't have made the salad... I can't wrap my head around the fact that ENDIVES have almost 200cals for 2 small heads.. Its just damn lettuce! Grr. I knew I was overdoing it with the avocado, but it was so delicious I just couldn't help it :blush5: but on the upside: its better to eat a whole avocado than a buncha chocolate, yeah??

workout: small amount of weights; gym was surprisingly busy for 2am, all guys. all beautiful. :rolleyes: no excuse! I shoulda just sucked it up and taken over the free weight section. crap.

Got a good sweat in, and of course, I feel terrific as usual after my workout! Except for a slight headache. Ouch :(

Alrighty! Off to bed, get to work every day this week. Luckily the shifts aren't horribly long really :)

It's not dissimilar at the front, but has a big wheely thing at the back with pullies connected somehow to the motion. I never looked at it that closely to be honest. None of those machines are so easy that you can do nearly two hours on them without being ultra fit though. Well done you.
 
On the plus side Avocado is very healthy, now get in there and show those men at the gym how its done :D it's always busier at most gyms this time of year with all the new years resoution people joining untill most give up.

You have been kicking some serious ass on the workouts! I wish I could put in the time you do with your work outs. Keep up the good work. You know I had to go back and read through your dairy since I've been gone for 2 weeks. But I plan to kick it back into high gear soon.
 
Ugh...you are making me feel so lazy! Must get on treadmill tonight and channel your motivation. The Biggest Loser starts in 40 minutes, perhaps a two hour treadmill walk while watching others like myself would be perfect motivation also.
 
Haha, thanks guys :) bad news tho: NOT going to the gym tonight. with good reason tho... I got to work at 330 this afternoon and it was just starting to snow; I LEFT work at quarter to 1am, and there was more than a foot of snow on and around my car. Seriously- over half of the tires were covered, thats how deep it was! No biggie at that point, I don't live far from home. Well, I get to this tinnnny slight hill, annnnd my car won't go. Uggh. So, I had to back down the damn hill and take an alternate route, which is an even longer route. Grr. Redic. Snow go awayyyy! So yeah, my tiny little car wouldn't even go full speed at 1st gear... no way can I get all the way to the gym. Sounds like a lousy excuse, I know! but its not intentional... Ohhh well... Hopefully it doesn't snow big tomorrow, and the plows get out there n get it taken care of. This blows.
 
I think you are allowed a day off - you have been going very consistently so late when others would choose their bed - hats off to you!! Avocado is for sure better than chocolate!! Keep it up Jess!!

WOW Jess, your salad had that many calories. Watch out for those things. I know if you eat too much fruit you can still gain weight. But man do I wish I could have fruit. We cant afford the hot commodity, but at least once in a while I get my strawberries and pienaple ...the things I would love to eat.


I love my fruit too, but your salad sounded extremely interesting and yummy! too bad about the caloric intake! but yummy all the same!!

Hey nat! Yeah, it SOUNDS like a really high cal salad- the problem was the avocado and the endive... Surprisingly, endives- which are basically like little romaine hearts- had almost 200 cals by themselves... So its sorta bizarre considering that the blue cheese crumbles and teensy bit of sour cream came to a grand total of like 120cals. Interesting...

YOU could rock the workouts too ya know ;) It just takes a coupla hours outta your day, you pick which ones and where ya wanna go, and you could walk the shit outta that workout! WOOO! I am definately envious of you being able to walk around. I hate walking in public. Uggh.
 
Haha! I just realized that on yesterdays post I wrote "I don't live far from home." WTF? Am I a baglady now??!

Annnyway. Today: food was pretty good actually! I only ended up going about 200 cals over, and THAT my friends is due to some chocolate my incredibly inconsiderate 120lb sister left sitting on the table. Damn her. I blame her! :rolleyes: Ahh, if only* it were that easy...
Workout: AGAIN got to the gym at about 1:05ish; much ealier than normal for me :D - and there were a TON of people there! Dammit people, this is MY gym time. EFFF. So anyway. Usually I try to do weights before cardio, but I just decided to do my cardio and let everyone clear out before moving on to the weight section. Did almost a full hour on the crosstrainer by the time everyone was gone, then did another program on the crosstrainer, then did the upright bike for 22min to make it an even 2hrs. I DEFINITELY prefer the crosstrainer to the bike. Ahh, how everyone has their favorites... Moved to the weight section after that, did chest and shoulders... Tho not much, due to me putting so much exertion into the cardio. Couldn't help it. Was watching some rediculous b movie on TNT :rolleyes: Treat Williams, Famke Jansen, and a big ass octopus. Cinematic adventure, people. Ohhh yeah. So anyway, before the rambling continues, heres my times: 98min crosstrainer, 6.71miles. 22:15min upright bike, 5miles.

Sooo, fast forward a half hour, I'm at home, typing THIS, and I am freakishly energized. This blows. I need to go to bed so I can brave the herds at costco in the afternoon, and then move on to work. WHICH by the way I got promoted to a store manager at :) YAYY! Its only a grocery store; I worked at GNC for 5 years, managed it for 3 years, and they fire me for the "not having outstanding numbers". Eff you people. Their NEW manager(who happens to be the big boss' close family friend, psh) is doing twice as bad :D TAKE THAT corporate assholes.. ANyway, so I go get a job so that I at least have a job(I've had a second job at a pool hall for 5 years, but thats only 2 days per week), and I just hate it. A- I feel like I took a step down and back by going from store manager of a job I love, to a damn checker at a grocery store dealing with asshole people. B- DEFINITE pay cut. Ouch. C- the monotony makes me want to poke my eyeballs for fun. And trust me, it WOULD be fun compared to checking! So anyway, the store manager approached me, told me to apply, and a few other people who've worked there for a VERY long time also apply(I've been there 2 months), and I was the one they picked for it :) So I'm very happy, cuz I finally feel like I'm taking a half step back UP and FORWARD again, and its a pay raise- a lot closer to what I WAS making- and I don't hafta do the checkouts all the time, lol. YAY! WOoo! That was a long jumble of nonsense right there. Sorry to do that to you all :rolleyes:

Okay, I'm gonna try to get some sleep, will be back tomorrow :D
