Wow, a lot of people dropped by!
Thanks for the nice thoughts, folks, I do appreciate it and it does help.
Felici, I am working hard on my pessimistic attitude, but generally speaking, I don't feel good or happy very often, and seem to need to pressure myself a lot in order to get things done. My self-talk is almost all negative, and I feel stupid if I ever try to pat myself on the back for a job well done, because you can't give YOURSELF recognition, it just doesn't count. This forum has really done a lot to help give me tools to work on my attitude, and it is one of the reasons I try to stay positive while I am here.
Manaloa, bean threads are white noodles that turn clear when you cook them, they are made from Mung Bean starch. The first place I had them was in the best Thai restaurant in the world (It's just down the road from my house, lucky me), but I have to go to a local asian supermarket to find them. They aren't in any of the smaller asian stores in the area, but they are still cheap

I found a nice, inexpensive version of them, for slightly more than the cost of instant noodles, so I am really thrilled about it.
Britta Bear, thanks for the thought about yogurt, I hadn't thought about it that way, before. I will put peanut butter on pancakes and waffles, sometimes, but I generally just reach for the sugar free syrup these days. I have used yogurt to sub for milk with cereal, topped salads with it, use it instead of sour cream, etc, etc.
I'm thinking about getting some cheese cloth to "hang" the yogurt and get a lot of the liquid out; it can be used as a substitute for cream cheese at that point. Sounds tasty to me
Food so far today:
4 breakfast taquitos (600)
1 cup hot cereal with lots of milk (500)
A few grapes (50) I had to bail on the grapes, I ate one that tasted moldy, so it HAD to be inside the grape, I am really careful about what I put in my mouth, I HATE fruit when it's gone bad. I pitched the last couple of pounds, and am going to buy them more carefully now. The bad part is I am now out of fruit.
More to do and more to eat, but later. I'm probably going to have another monstrous turkey sandwich, and might have some milk in my coffee, it's a cram session weekend for me.
Thanks again for thinking the happy thoughts for me!
