Hello lovely fat-fighters!

I'm back from a super week. Here's some photos!

Eating was AWFUL. As was exercise. I drank too much sangria with my sister in Barcelona & I fell over and sprained my ankle (for the forth time this year) and fractured my kneecap. That was the first day of the holiday so I couldn't avoid walking around so just put my brace on and toughed it out. Got back from camping today and am suffering badly for not resting it straight after it happened. Knee is black, ankle is black and my mood is black :ack2:

Got straight to the doctors when I got back and they've written a letter to a lower limb specialist to get a referral for a consultation and MRI scan. Hopefully within 4 weeks, they've said, so I'm hoping to get on the list for some surgery before too long. Worried about it being this week though, as much as I want it done, as I've just started the new job and I'm worried about needing time off. The surgery involves being in a cast for 6 weeks and then a huge leg brace for another 3. Not going to fly at work I don't think. :nopity:

Apart from that the holiday was fab. Lots of sight seeing and working on the ol' tan :coolgleamA:

I've put on weight, obviously. :piggy: Up to 209. Will see how things stand tomorrow. Have drunk a great deal over the weekend and eaten poorly so I deserve to have put on a few pounds!!

Well good to hear you had a great time (apart from the injury off course).
Now back to the weight loss, I'm still hovering around the 200 lbs, waiting for you to catch up, so no pressure ;)

Slept like shit last night--feeling pretttttty washed out after starting work at 730. Home now and just got a food shop delivered so gonna cook and try not to snack!

Aiming for around 1500 calories a day and gonna see how that works out for me.


L: ham and cheese sandwich on brown bread, no butter. apple (350)
S: hummus and a chunk of bread (240)
D: smoked sausage and mushroom pasta bake (730)

Hey i've read through your diary a couple of times. Well bits here and there. Never got around to commenting. Sorry to hear about your injury. Seems you are back on track. Keep it up! Hows the new job?
 
Sorry about the leg! Way to trooper through it., I see a back specialist tomorrow and Cory has a bum foot so it seems to be going around. Boo!

Talking of money....Things are TIGHTTT this month already. Spent £200 in Barcelona on top of the £200 I took with me, and then another £200 whilst we were camping on booze, meals out, petrol, ferry tickets, etc. So need to be absolute angels with money this month to make sure we don't end up having to borrow off family. Hate having to do that. Wish I could be better with my money!

208 this morning, a lb down from yesterday. Will take that, although I know it may not be accurate. No booze for 2 days now. Going to do that again tonight! Hopefully will make a difference to the scales to detox for a while. Will update with food later xx

Feeling a bit frustrated. Decided to risk the ankle and walk to the Civic Offices to collect my ID and it's just not done it any good at all. Have come home and although I'm pleased I walked 2 miles, my ankle has swollen up again & the bruising is starting to look worse already. It's not even 11 here, it's my day off and I'm just going to be stuck in doing nothing all day instead of out and about enjoying the sun. Hope the specialist gets in touch soon. :nopity:

Can at least control my calories today--no excuse not to!

That's the best with stupid days, one can always be on top of the calories. Treat yourself to a nice cool foot bath with lavender or rosemary?

Here's a depressing thought to help you through your day. When you're young you're broke. When you're old you're broken. It's just not fair.

Here's to your youth and being unbroken soon! I'll soon be both as well attempting so foolishly to get any health care out of my country's spectacularly broken healthcare system.
 
Ugh... just getting caught up on your diary. I'm sorry to hear about your ankle and knee cap. Gotta be painful! I hope it mends well and fast for you. :( I wouldn't worry too much about losing weight right now. Just eat right and let your body heal.
 
Make your husband give you a nice massage to distract you from the pain lol ;) and maybe he'll end up distracting you even more ....
