Thanks for all the sympathy about ze ankle. It's feeling slightly better today but Yank knocked my kneecap last night and made me cry & it's all huge again this morning. If it's not the ankle it's something else!! :smash:

Feeling good though! Off to a late shift soonish. Not a massive fan of the lates as I have to eat whatever they prepare at the home and finishing at 1030pm sucks :p Never mind though, looking forward to going in!

Food yesterday was good and I'm at 207 today! So lost 2 of the lbs I put on over my holidays. Hoping to see 206 tomorrow :D
 
Glad your weight is coming back down. Don't you just feel like a yo-yo? I know I certainly do. It's like the scale is taunting me. "Oh you want to see 200... well I'll get you closer and closer before bumping you back up again". Argh so frustrating! If you get to 206 we'll be very close to each other again. I'm at 205.2 as of this morning. Maybe we'll get to 200 together. :)
 
Oh Hana, I'm such a baby when it comes to pain, I'm so sorry you're all broken right now! How are you dealing with work with all the physical issues?
 
Thanks, Mandy. Certainly feeling like a yo-yo. It's a nightmare! Although completely my fault, so can't wallow too much ;) We'll be in onderland soon!

Laura, work has actually been going pretty good. The kids are all between 14-17 so they kinda do their own thing when they are not trashing the house, doing drugs, getting arrested etc! So there isn't much physical activity once I actually get to work. I've not told them too much about the long-term problems with it because I don't want to show up, work a few weeks and then start bitching about needing time off or anything. Will see how the visit to the specialist goes!

Worked a late last night so not much chance for snacking but had some wiiiiine. Stayed within my calories though. I'm stupid tall so I think I can have up to about 1700 & still loose weight. Not sure though. Should probably check that shit out.

Another late tonight, so lunch at home and then whatever the cook makes at the unit tonight! So nice being cooked for :beating:

Sunflower- Had no idea your ankle was causing you so many problems still!! That really sucks!!! Hope they can do something for it really soon, how frustrating.

Yay for getting rid of holiday poundage!

Been a busy weekend--not had time to check in. Not much happening--had drinks with the Yank & off to see a friend soon. Got a food shop delivered this morning & made egg/bacon rolls for breakfast/lunch. I fail! Scales are not my friend after 2 days of drinking/eating what I want. Back to the drawing board.

Off tomorrow so will post again then -- just wanted to let ya'll know I'm alive! :p
 
Hi Sunflower, I've read your whole diary, it's a great read. I can relate to a lot of the stuff you talk about - I also love wine and cigarettes. I have a really big sweet tooth as well, which you don't appear to have from your entries?

Anyway, keep it up, you're doing great.
 
Emma--I don't have a sweet tooth at all actually--not a fan of chocolate, cake, sweets. BUT, I adore salty popcorn, crisps, crackers, cheese etc. So it balances out quite well. Dread to think how big I'd be if I loved chocolates as well!!

Brawny--It's not going well. At all. Still smoking 3-4 cigarettes a day which is a damn sight better than the 15-20 I was smoking but still not quit.

So today is my day off for the week. Need to do a bit of cleaning and then I'm slow-cooking a spaghetti bolognese for tonight. Going to avoid the garlic bread ;) Yank is talking about going on a health kick as well so have brought lots of fruit & veg this morning. Slept for 10 hours tonight so feeling refreshed but even the 15 min walk to the shop has made my ankle ache. Still waiting for my appointment with the specialist.

Feeling like a giant whale today. Scales are not being my friend but I ate so much salt last night & drank a little too much. Back to logging my calories. :piggy:

L: Bread roll with humus & low-cal ham, no butter (320)
D: lean steak mince spag bol with courgettes, mushrooms & onions (600)
S: 2 crumpets

Glad you felt refreshed after a nice night of sleep! I love sleeping! :)

I'm not feeling to great about myself either right now. I haven't been eating very well the last few days because I'm on vacation. Oh well, whatever happens this week happens. I'll deal with it next week! :)
 
Glad to hear you got a good rest. I can only dream of sleeps that long with the little ones ;) hope your ankle gets better soon.
 
You are making positive changes kiddo! You have turned 20 cigs a day into 3 or 4, soon you will make that 1 or 2... Then you will kiss them goodbye. Don't belittle your progress! You are improving yourself!

Fleeting visit--just got home from a 24 hour shift & the house is a shitting mess. Apparently the other half just watched TV all night! So I get to clean up like a made thing before our friends come over tonight. Sigh. Awesome shift though!

And I'm 206 today! So lost all the weight I put on on holiday now. Now to see 205! xx
