Soooo, I kicked butt again today! I've had the most terrible stomach cramping today and have been told it's most likely gastroenteritis BUT I went to work and then went to the gym! I only stayed 30 mins as I really needed the loo and couldn't face going at the gym. BUT, I did 30 mins on the bike at a good pace and burnt a good amount of calories.
And now I'm home, showered and getting ready to go to the pub! All by 6pm Feeling really good!
Oeh pub *jealous*
Would have liked to enjoy a beer in the garden here tonight, but having BBQ tomorrow at work, so I'll save the empty calories for then
Great job getting the exercise in while not feeling great. I woke up with horrid stomach pain this morning (had to stay in fetal position till my advil kicked in!) It's ok now but I can feel that it wants to come back!
Thanks my lovelies -- Makes me so happy when I come home to comments Go motivation, go!
Sorry Ruth, I missed your post about what my job is. I will be a Residential Social Services Officer at a children's home for special needs kids who are under social services for whatever reason. Going to be challenging. I got called the C word by a kid when I went for my interview! Gonna be interesting
L: quavers (100) chicken bites (130) mango (75)
D: Pasta with a tomato and herb sauce (500) 1/4 of a baguette with butter (400)
S: 1 beer (129)
E: 2 mile walk. No gym today, met a friend for coffee. Am going tomorrow!
Sounds like your job might be quite the challenge, but it also sounds like you're up for the challenge. Good luck with it, I hope it all goes well for you. I also hope your bread baby goes away soon.
You keep on getting ill don't you However, you are like an unstoppable diet lawnmover, that keeps on chopping through the "Illness grass". And your garden shall be tidy
I have decided not to buy not really nice bread (or butter) any more. I can't resist it either.
There was considerably less fail at the gym tonight. Got there at 4pm and it was pretty much empty, which is just how I like it! Did 45 mins on the bike--Not sure about how to work out my heart rate..It was at about 145 after walking to the gym, changing and then getting on the bike. And it went up to about 165-170 when I was really sweating it out. Does that sound about right? I'm really unfit
So yeah, kicked some butt there and then walked the 1.5 miles home and now I'm getting my sweaty butt into the shower and all dolled up for a night out with the Yank. Going for pizza (I know, I know) but will hit the gym tomorrow or Sunday to burn it off. Scales are saying down a lb today so we'll see what tomorrow brings! I have 5 weeks til my holiday with my sister to Barcelona so I really would like to lose 10-14 lbs before then. I think I can do it! Although not if I persist in shoving pizza in my face..And I'm currently writing this sipping a beer. BUT, it's friday. And a kid weed on me today. So I'm gonna relax a little
Hey Roy Great to see you back, will look for your diary
Thanks Clarrisa, I hope it stays habit and doesn't slip this week!
Last night was a drunkenly awesome! We went for a drink at a lovely bar and then got a cab up to another pub and had more drinks and then went to this lovely Italian restaurant where we had hot homemade rolls with garlic butter and pate and toast for starter and then we had pizzzzza! We only ate half though because we were too full so we took leftovers home for lunch today. It's a super thin crust pizza so can't imagine it'll do too much damage..although the rolls and toast wont have done me any good
Here's so photos of me looking ridiculous from last night!
HR is not abnormal for someone who's just starting to exercise.
You should find out what your max heart rate is, and try to train at 60-70% of that, optimal zone for getting fit and burning fat
