Put that down, fatty!

Yeah, the anxiety tends to go until it's time to get off the bike and then I get anxious about how I'm going to get off it, how far the changing rooms are, etc. You can imagine I'm more than a little nervous to start the new job--my anxiety makes change of any sort quite hard but I am excited :D

Didn't get to the gym last night, as I thought. Babysat until 10:30, came home and didn't get to bed until midnight so feeling super tired this morning and OFSTED are still inspecting us today and then I'm off to my induction for the new job! Sigh. At least it's payday tomorrow-beautiful payday :beating:

Am going to do a 2 mile walk today home from the new job, which isn't as good as the gym but it's still solid exercise if I get a sweat on.

Food 26/6

L: "light" egg sandwich (275)
D: pizza (890)
S: 2 satsumas (80)

Also: anyone have any yummy, simple recipes for me? I like most things apart from fish. Been making spag bol and sausage and leek casserole a lot as I've run out of inspiration for cooking.

I do a lot of stir-fries lately, Chinese noodles with beef, chicken or turkey, some veggies in there and some sort of (store bought) stirfry sauce. Quick and easy to make and yummie if I do say so myself.

Thanks, G. Will give that a go! Tonight is sausage pasta with a tomato and herb sauce :D I'm starving! Did well in the inspection today and then went to my induction and got told I'm earning 3 grand more a year than I thought which is lovely! And I walked the 2 miles home in the rain with a big smile on my face! Having an apple sours and diet lemonade and some popcorn as a snack :D

Got a pretty cool bite from a kid today too! Didn't hurt, just looked really funny! View attachment 21050

I hope it went well with Ofsted! Hopefully they weren't around to witness that bite!

When I'm dieting and thinking of new things to try, I always start from the vegetable- oven baked mediteranean veg, sweetcorn, broccoli peas and carrots, just peas, stuffed mushrooms, salad; Then I work my way up to the main that will go with it, as that way you'll get a wide variety of veg in your diet.

Good job on overcoming your anxiety! It's hard but it feels so good. And just remember, when those skinny people (or anybody) at the gym sees you, they are likely thinking good for that person they are doing something to get in shape. Ain't nothing to be ashamed of! Plus as you become slimmer and fitter people at the gym may compliment you- its happened to me :D

Thanks for ze suggestions Ruth, I have my food shop arriving any min so will get to work!

Thanks Slickzchik :beating: Can't wait to start seeing some results!

So I've stayed the same weight this week-- unsurprising since I ate like crap and only made it to the gym twice. This week I'm going for it hard. I have a huge food shop arriving any moment and I'm gonna make up a huge batch of my healthy casserole that will do dinners and lunches for a few days. I had a brilliant weekend--My friends came down from London and we got very drunk and had a BBQ and played mini-golf and went to the fair and had so much fun. I ate like shit on Friday night but yesterday I only had 2 sausages in buns..And then I got so drunk I didn't remember to have dinner. :D

New day today! No gym (so painfully hungover leaving the house will surely kill me dead) but am going tomorrow after work!

Hope everyone has a super Sunday xx

Sounds like you had a great weekend!
And now back to losing weight again, we have a 200 mark to break!

Dang that bite looks horrible! I hope it's all healed up now!

Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend so good for you! I hope your week goes well. I'm also going for it hard this week. It's a new week and a new month so it's time to get refocused and get back on this! :)

The weekend was great until Sunday night. I found out that my great aunt died and then yesterday morning before work I found out that the 5 year old I used to do care work with has passed away too. He was amazing. He was born 4 months early and had a whole host of problems but he was such a fighter. It was a massive shock to learn of his passing and I went home and didn't go to work yesterday. Feel crappy about going back in--don't want to look after other kids & I cried so much in front of a load of staff. Not looking forward to it. Just so sad.

Very sorry for your losses. I just lost a dear friend to breast cancer. She was only 41. I know it's very hard but a really strenuous workout can help you release some sadness. Hard to make yourself do it but if you can I bet it helps.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Brawny :( That's awful. So young.

Thanks G :grouphug:

Well, I went to the gym anyway--and feel better for it. I really worked hard and feel super worn out now and cooking dinner. I did a 12 mile bike ride and then 20 mins on the cross trainer. Sure I will be aching tomorrow!

Just got back from the gym! Two days in a row! :hurray: Still feeling very down but exercise certainly helps.

8 miles on the bike and then 30 mins on the treadmill.

Going to have a healthy dinner and no booze!

Turning something negative into something positive is very theraputic. Good job stringing two good days together!

Back up to 207 this morning--I don't understand :( My food intake has been about the same and I went to the gym 3 times last week, 5 times the week before and I've already been twice this week already. So frustrated. Giving up bread to see if cutting something out helps. I usually have a sandwich for work but am taking 99% fat free crackers today. Sigh.

Change in routine often causes your body to react to it.
Don't quit the gym just yet :)
You will loose weight again!

Fight through it, stay the course, never give up, look both ways before you cross the street....ok better stop now ha ha

Currently sitting on the sofa with my ankle, which is the size of a small planet, elevated on 3 cushions. I am so clumsy!

I have ligament damage from a drunken injury I got when I was 18. I stupidly had a one night stand, stayed over the guys house and drunkenly fell down the stairs in the night, tore ligaments on one side of my ankle and then fell down the same stairs again answering the door to my own ambulance. Wasn't pretty. Didn't go to hospital for a week so by the time I arrived my foot was black and the damage wasn't "fixable". Fast forward 5 years later and every 6 months or so I fall over randomly on a curb or my own feet and pop my ankle and then I'm very sore and stiff and swollen for quite a while.

Absolutely rubbish! So didn't get to the gym. Will give it a go again on Saturday if it's feeling better. I walked home on it to try and loosen it up (2 miles) but it seems to have made it worse so might have to lay off the walking for a few days. Hopefully will feel better tomorrow.
