Put that down, fatty!

Unsolicited advice from Uncle Brawny:
Eat a bit more girl. Your matabolism will shut down if you dont.
Ok intervention over...Still think your really cool!

I certainly did not do it on purpose, if that's what people think! I ate the pasta as a snack before my appointment but by the time I got home it was 21:30 and I went straight to bed! I know to never dip below 1200 as a minimum but couldn't really help it yesterday. Thanks for the concern :beating:

Thanks for sharing your story Ludz <3 I'm sorry you've experience something similar xx

Today has been okay--starting to feel sad about my last day tomorrow. Know they've got me vouchers to my favourite shop so will be spending them on Saturday to get some stuff for the new job. Very mixed feelings at the moment.

I've brought stuff to make my smoked sausage pasta again--the last time was so awful that I wanted to do it again to do it properly! It'll be delicious :D

L: crackers and philli (150) apple x 2 (90)
D: pasta and garlic bread (750)
S: shandy (75)

Maybe try and plan ahead a bit so you don't get caught up and eat too little. Maybe bring a protein shake or something with you to the gym. Or even just the protein scoop and when you're done, add the water and drink it right away.

Hi,

Being here before and having a project I'm sure you will do great this time round also :)

On a side note, I admire people in your line of work, takes someone very caring and patient. It's not an easy job to do and people who make the choice to do it have a very special something about them.
My Aunty is special needs and my cousins son is Down syndrome.

Hey Nostalgic--thanks very much for the compliment :) I adored my job with SEN kids but think this new job should be more of a challenge!

Brawny! I'm doing good thanks dude--hungover but happy :smilielol5:

Right--been a few days. Last day at work was fabulous, got some vouchers so went a brought a pair of jeans (size 14!) and a new top and necklace. First day at the new job is tomorrow--starting at 9 and finishing at 5. Not used to those hours! Going to be interesting getting used to doing earlies and lates and night shifts again. Should be fun though. Will let you all know how it goes!

Drank all my calories yesterday--feeling absolutely vile today. So relaxing on the sofa, drinking diet lemonade and trying not to vom all over myself. Awesome sunday!

Back down to 203 after going up to 207 last week so that's 4lbs lost--even if they were the same 4lbs I put back on :smash:

lol, drink all your calories and you wil pay the price :p
I'll probably feel like you did today next week.....

I know how you feel... almost two days later for me and I still feel like death. Am dragging myself around like I weigh 50 stone.

Good luck for tomorrow :D

Size 14! That's fab :hurray:

Sorry you've had such a rough patch. Nice job maintaining (gain+reloss) through it. I hope the new job is fantastic!

I can't even handle a single glass of wine these days, when I was on holidays I went out for dinner/drinks with a friend and had to go home super early thinking I was going to be sick (after 2 drinks!) Thought it was something I ate! But then a few weeks later I had a drink after dinner and had to stop halfway through because felt exactly the same. I hardly ever drink anyway but now I can't even if I wanted to! Wonder if that means I'm getting old lol.

Sounds like you had fun anyway! Yay on the re-loss!

Nice job on the re-loss! Always such a relief. I hate seeing that number go back... even if its only by .x lbs (my scale is digital)

Congratulations on your weight loss. I gained 87 lbs when I had our daughter. I only lost 30 of it in the weeks after she was born. 9 months later, and I'm still fighting the pounds. I actually gained weight on Atkins. I didn't have any change on the juice diet. I couldn't stick to more restrictive vegan diets. Now I'm doing the newyoulifediet. I'm losing it slowly, but it is so hard. I have actually considered going to the doctor to see if something is wrong with my thyroid, because I run 20 or more miles a week and can't seem to lose weight.

I hate hangovers! I don't drink anymore. And if I do, I only have a couple. There's no way I want to have a terrible hangover and then have to watch a toddler and a baby all day!!! No thanks! ... I can't even drink like that even if I wanted to because I still breastfeed and the baby still wakes throughout the night.

Great job on the weight loss!!

Hey guys!

Had my first day of work yesterday--got called the C word about 30 times! Had a chair thrown at me! It was awesome--had a great day, really got stuck in straight away. Loads of challenging behavior but also had lots of "down time" watching some TV, sitting in the garden and drinking tea.

Food yesterday was about 1400 calories (no booze!) Food is all included at the home so I had to resist all the yummy things! I just had a ham sammich for my lunch.

Will post properly when I get back from work -- need to leave the house soon! And it's only 6:20am :)ack2:)

Right, back from work! Was so hot in the home! BUT, yesterday AND today (and every day for the foreseeable future) I walked 2 miles there and 2 miles back! I got an app for my phone that calculates my route, calories burnt, miles and average speed. I'm burning between 250-280 calories per 2 mile walk! Which is fantastic. Means I'm burning 500 calories a day more than I was when I was at the other job and barely walking. Really pleased. 4 miles a day of walking is pretty good, I think. But will it be enough to make a difference to my weight?! Not gone to the gym at all since last week--honestly, it's now "out of my way" in terms of work and seems like a huge effort considering I'm doing much more exercise in every day life. Will try and go this week though, at least once!

I thought avoiding the food would be really hard at the new job but I've been very good. Ham and cheese on two slices of toast, no butter for lunch. And I drank 2 litres of water and 6 cups of green tea! Very laid back there so have enjoyed drinking more and chilling out a bit more.

Glad you love the chilled out vibe in your new work :D

Are you in a contract at your gym?

500 calories of day equals an extra pound of fat a week, its going to make loads of difference... Plus your toning up your legs, and while you are walking, your not going to be tempted to wander to the fridge or anything.

500 extra calories burnt a day! Thats like 5 light beers! Just kiddin.
Nice job on the walking. Be careful on curbs and such. Dont want to roll that ankle again.

Talking of which....

Thank you for seeing Hana Perry who presents with persistent and repetitive foot and ankle instability following a previous trauma which resulted in a likely severe ATFL injury. She originally had an inversion injury which resulted in immediate swelling and inability to weight bear. She now still experiences regular inversion problems during everyday activities of daily living. She has no neurovascular signs or red flag issues. Her past medical history is generally unremarkable.

On examination she had no wasting, spasm of deformity. Active and passive plantarflexion and inversion were hypermobile with pain at en of range. Resisted eversion was painful at the peronei tendons. Anterior ankle instability tests showed laxity and pain. Palpation to the ATFL was painful. Balance and proprioception tests were reduced.

My clinical impression is she has an ATFL tear which results in regular instability. I would strongly recommend an X-ray and an MRI to the ankle. Post investigation, an onward referral for an orthopaedic review will be appropriate

Woo! Should be seen soon--taking the letter to my GP tomorrow.

Ruth, there's no contract luckily. Just a monthly payment I can cancel at any point. Will see how much I get to go over the next few weeks before deciding anything And yes! Really pleased about my extra 500 calories. Hopefully I'll see a drop on the scales this week!
