I looked up that book & read a couple of reviews. I don't think it would work out for me. It's fun though that it is getting you to step outside your comfort zone & try new things.
Thanks Cate . It is definitely making me do things I don’t normally do . I am finding though I’m very much in the middle ground with a lot , a bit like Goldilocks with baby bear . But I’m learning a lot about myself . I’m doing something for me for a change .

One of my bosses helped me with something this morning and it was really kind the way he did help me . I would not have asked for that help before I don’t think and I think he actually liked tobe asked .

Yes Marsia I actually chatted to my husband about this last night in terms of things we used to do and don’t anymore . For example just heading off on a Sunday drive spur of moment . We discussed how stressful our lives are and that he is so tired from driving . Think we might try now to shake ourselves up a bit this year
 
I like how it's working for you. I started reading one of the books that I asked for today. It's meant to be for psychs to help them, but I find it really interesting. I'm glad you are having the talks with your husband. We have been doing the same. Even with responsibilities, there should be fun & spontaneity, xo

Most people quite like being asked for help sometimes - both because they appreciate the unspoken acknowledgement they know/can do somthing others don´t/can´t and because most folks genuinely enjoy helping others if it´s not too much of an effort.

That's so wonderful! I feel the same in my relationship - that I need to initiate more, and when I do, it helps the relationship so much, and it brings out connection and working together again to have a nice life together. I know a lot of that is from writing to you about stuck places in relationship to our husbands. And getting healthy together has done wonders, as well. I was dancing with my daughter in the living room and J came and joined us and we all had so much fun. When we were first dating, J and I would go dancing in the gay bars in SF, and this brought back that kind of joy of just being happy dancing together.

I think your book is great at getting people to just go out and explore life, and I'm so happy you are writing about your experiences with that. I will probably end up buying the book, but I have all these other books to get through first - the kind of books you just have to read the second you buy them, and I have about 4 of those first!

Anyway, congratulations on getting your husband on the same page as you as far as planning to have a more relaxing and engaging life - that is huge!!!

Thanks ladies . Marsia I'll write more later but I think probably a lot of your books cover the same . Some of the stuff now is a bit repetitive. Not sure what today's task is . Post later. Need to do my hair for work and I'm late lol
 
Yesterday turned into such a mad manic day . I just had very little time .
Today won’t be much better .
Oh I lost 2 lb so that good .
The next phase in my book needs some reading and box tickikg so will do this afternoon.
I have definitely broken some habits over the last 2 weeks. Eating junk in the car is one . My afternoon cuppa is another .
 
Not eating in the car is a big one. That's where I do most of my chomping. Well done.
Me too Emily but I didn't this week except for a banana on Tuesday and some black grapes today . Just a small pot.

Wow, 2 pound weight loss - that's fantastic!! And it's so wonderful how you are taking good care of yourself!!!
Getting there slowly .

Have lots of tasks to do this coming week 3 people and 4 activities. Should be interesting. Finished some major project work today which I had been putting off for ages. Feels great to have achieved it .
 
Good morning all . I had a lovely hours walk yesterday in the woods as it was one of activities. I stopped to enjoy the pretty snowdrops , some wonderful looking fungi , the beautiful ducks and swans and glorious trees. Came home and relaxed and then cooked some stew . I was full of energy then and got on with lots of cleaning . Was a really good day .
