Girl I know what you mean mean. I've stayed the same weight for the last three weeks. Ridiculous:icon_bs:. I think after your surgery make sure you are getting plenty of fiber and water and take some vitamins. Since you won't be able to do much on the outside you really need to make sure you're taking care of the inside. Try to avoid a lot of meat since that take three days to digest. Hopefully you can eat a lot of "live" foods. And LOTS of sleep. That will help your body heal faster. Good luck girl!

Hey Girl!

Found some info for ya.

"
There are roughly 2,000 steps in a mile, although it varies on how tall you are because of your stride. So if you walk 10,000 steps in a day, you are walking about 5 miles. On average, Americans walk about 2,000-2,500 steps in a day. It will require some extra effort to get to 10,000."

Hey all! Thanks for checkin' in on me last week... sorry I was MIA... I need an assistant lol...

Trying to give 99% of the responsibility of my salon to the manager so that I don't have that stress but it's really hard for me to let go of the last couple of things...

And trying to get the property management office settled still... phone companies are THIEVES I tell you lol!!!

Did okay on points last week but no weight loss... I think TOM is on his way so maybe that's it... planning on perfect diet this week and lots of water and green tea... hopefully I'm just holding water...

MJ- thanks for the stepping info. I have a whole book on stepping... somewhere. :blush5: In fact, I think I could start a library with all the fitness books I have LMAO! And I'm STILL a chunk!!! I think the step challenge is definitely a good one but I think I'll have to pick a challenge that I can do at that time as well since that will be the week of my surgery. I'll be spending a lot of time in bed that week.

Lee- Thanks for the advice! Getting on my feet QUICK is definitely my goal! Vegas is coming quick and I think I will need a GOOD 12 WEEKS after surgery to get my body how I want it... so that gives me 2 weeks to recover... not a lot of time to lay around!

Well I'm not even close to my weight loss goal for surgery (in fact, I've gained)... that sucks. BUT I think my results will still be good. The doc says I don't have much fat on my stomach so it should be good and flat after surgery.... I'll just have the rest of me to tone up at that point... and work on getting a VISABLE SIX PACK!!! :hurray:

How cool would it be to have a 6 pack? When is your surgery date again? I'm so excited for you!! You are going to be down for the count for a while though :) A very good reason to be pampered and weighted on.

I think you will be very motivated after your surgery to get ur ultimate results. Your doing what you can right now before surgery but I think you'll still be okay, even if you are a bit over your "ideal" weight going into it. Your a busy lady with two businesses and two kids, and a husband, so you have to cut yourself a little bit of slack there sometimes;) I'm excited to see your final result when everything is done, I bet it will look great.

I've heard tummy tucks can leave a person out of commission for sometime... I don't know quite how long but, the body obviously needs a good amount of time to heal itself after that kind of surgery. I would just try to make sure your diet is as flawless as it can be while your healing just because exercise will probably be forbidden for awhile. An impeccibly clean diet on it's own for a good time can have some great results for when your ready to resume your exercise routines.

Would be awesome huh!?! I think I MAY have had a 2 pack in high school lol... My surgery is August 8th (Big Mac's B-day in fact ;)) and yes, I'm going to be down for a while. Everyone keeps telling me at least 4 weeks before I'll feel like doing anything but I'm shooting for 2 weeks cuz I don't have 4 weeks to lay around lol... I have Vegas coming up quick and girls soccer to coach starting August 20th! I"m going to take Sam and LeeLee's advice and really try to eat clean, drink lots of liquids and take vitamins... hopefully that will get me healed quicker (and take a little poundage off in the process lol). :) Thanks for stoppin' by Humps... always a pleasure to have your positive attitude in my thread! :D

Hey Sam! How's it going? I've heard the same thing (something like 4 to 6 weeks). Basically between the muscles being sewn together and then your skin being S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D FAR beyond comfort, there's a lot of healing to do! I'm excited though! I've had this stupid little pooch for years and I really believe it kills my motivation to get into tip top shape! I will definitely take your advice on the flawless diet while I'm down... BTW thanks for pointing out everything I have going on in my life... somedays I'm pretty hard on myself because I don't get everything done... I appreciate the recognition. ;)

WELL.... I ate like SHIT today! I DID do my 30 minutes of cardio this morning but after this, I'm off to the gym for weights and I'm throwing in extra cardio to try to counter-act the damage lol... I've really gotta work on the diet! It sucks because once I get into it, eating clean is easy but once I slip, it takes FOREVER for me to get back on track! :blush5:

Only 11 days til surgery!

wow, 11 days!! i'm so excited for you :)

I'm back after taking a break and wanted to say HI!! **waves**

Well... last night at the gym went well. They have these bikes called Expresso Fitness and you basically can play games or ride with other people on the screen. It was good cuz I was trying to get up to the front of the pack... Trained legs too.

This morning I got up and took my kids to the skate park. I walk/jogged for 30 minutes while they skated.

I really think I need a new scale... Mine has been stuck on 159.2 for the past week. Day or night, clothed or unclothed, empty stomach of full, I weight 159.2... WTH?!!! Ha! I told my hubby last night that I probably weigh 125 and I just THINK I'm fat cuz the scale says so lol...

Well anyway... hoping to have the STRENGTH to eat better today! Off to work, I'll be back on later...

Did you come up with alternative points? I still need to post something in the vegas thread about this for people who might get sick or injured along the way, just in case.

I haven't read everything in your diary, I know we talked about it recently.

Let me know what your ideas are.

I'm pulling for you girl. Mommies need to stick together. lol Take care of yourself and don't push yourself before you're well enough. Good luck!!!
