Weight today - 242.75 Lbs.
Weight lost from yesterday - none

I decided after I weigh in tomorrow I'm going to lose 20 Lbs. in 2 weeks. I see them do it all the time on the biggest loser & their no tougher than I'm.

I Failed

Well I failed losing 20 Lbs in 10 days. So far I have gained 2 Lbs. So back to basics for me & my wife. That means back to my two week diet plan. For my first two weeks I will have one piece of fruit a day. Considering I have no fruit right now it a huge thing. There is one word for fruit yuck!!!! I do know it is good for me so I will do it.

We bought brown rice today, which we hate. We cooked it & it was pretty good.


T.I.L.A.L.W # 12 - I had to walk some hills today & I did without killing myself. Before I may have made it but I would have been out of commission for a few days. I had so much energy, when I got home I removed wallpaper from a bathroom in our home.

Fruit

I had my fruit one pear. It was not all that bad. But I think of what else I could have eaten instead. But the whole idea of my diet is to lose weight & be healthy, so I think fruit is important.

Did my 4 mile walk.
Had lots of water.
Stayed in my calored range.

My Day

Good day, I did my 4 mile walk / run, stayed within my calories & most of all ate my piece of fruit, today I ate an apple. My body may be going into shock having fruit go into it.

Tough Day

Had my fuit today, a tangerine. Still don't like eating fruit. Did my four mile walk. Stayed within my calories.

Had a very hard afternoon, a craving to eat like I could not believe. Did not have anything but it was really tough.

Hey Chip, Im new here, I just read your diary and I have to give it two thumbs up. You are full of good Ideas. My favorite thing being TILALW. You hit them right on the nose. I wrote down a few things last week, but they were negative things...What I hated about being fat. Like:

I fly a lot and find that Im running out of seatbelt on the plane
Some scales can not accomidate my weight...that just dont seem right.

Anyway, I like how yours are all positive.
I wanted to ask you about your running, how are your knees holding up. I am a runner too but I dont do it right now because Im afraid of screwing up my knees. I was going to "weight" until Im under 220. I tend to take it overboard and run far to long far to fast and I pay for it. But its a great way to lose the #'s

Fruit & T.I.L.A.L.W # 13

T.I.L.A.L.W # 13 - All the things I'm to embarrassed to mention. Maybe you might want to list them, and there are alot of them.

Fruit - I had a banana today, interesting what they taste like without chocolate, or ice cream. I forgot to buy my fruit today so I had to run over to the store at 7:00 P.M. to get it. Yesterday when I went into the store to buy my tangerine, the store checker looked at me like I was nuts. Yes I know I can by more than one fruit at a time.

Did not stay within my calories today :( . It was planned so its OK. Just wonder how much weight I will gain tomorrow morning. Did my 4 mile walk / run.
 
Walking / Running

moabnut, My knees are in good shape. Even thou I have had problems with them before. Also back problems. At my weight I have to be very careful not to push to hard. One day of thinking I'm superman could put me out for a very long time. I'm in this for the long time so I take it very easy. I usually walk & jog (the jogging is very slow, so is the walking for that matter). If I walk the whole 4 miles it takes about 70 Min's. now. If I walk & jog it takes 55-65 Min's. If I jog the 4 miles which I did today, since it had been a long time it took 48 Min's. Which is the my best time by a few Min's. Since I ran the whole way today for the next 2 days I will not run one step, it just not worth the chance. Maybe I'm being to cautious, but I just don't want to get hurt & regret it.

PS - I did actually run a 10-K (6.2 miles) in 40 Min's 59 Secs. That was many years ago. I'm looking forward to the running.
 
Well, I think your doing pretty good running 4 miles in 48 min. You dont want to push it too much or risk injury. I find if I run at all I tend to push it too much so I swore off it till about 220 #'s or so, which will be quite a while if I keep having weekends like this last one! Good luck!
 
Whats wrong wight me?

Depression is setting in. I've come so far & now I'm so close to letting it all slip away. I ask myself how I can let this happen & just keep eating & eating & eating. I will weigh myself tomorrow & post the bad news. I just don't know what has happened. Oh well, what can you do. Except fate, I'm FAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Agh, Chip no no no! Lets get rid of that attitude! You HAVE come so far, and you CAN go further! :) We all have moments of slip ups, and back slides, but you will get through this little snag. Come on now, you've done really well and today is a new day, and you will start again! :D We are all rooting for you!
 
Weigh-in

248.25 Lbs. Very depressing. I'm going to try very hard to get back on track. If I think about this correctly 248.25 Lbs. is really not bad for everything I have eaten.

C'mon Troutman, dont get so down. Of all the diaries and things Ive read, your closest to me situationally. You have to keep it up because your progress has been motivating for me. I slipped up a couple weeks ago and I got back on the bandwagon and the weight I gained just fell off in a matter of days. I had gained about 5 lbs. I went from 255 to 260. My goal was to make 250 by Feb 1st. I just weighed in at 250 this morning, just 2 weeks after my slip up and still in time to meet my goal. So get your butt back on the bandwagon and keep at it. Slip ups are just the nature of the beast, its the big picture we are looking at, remember. Sometimes its hard to see the forest through the trees. Keep it up, you can do it :cool:
 
How old am I?

Newleaf & Moabnut, Thanks for the encourgement, I need it. I will consider myself back on track. Everything you said was true. I just have gotten really scared. That I'm quiting & going back up to 309 Lbs.
Then yesterday I was at Del Taco & the young punk behind the counter asked me if I wanted the senior discount. I wonder do I look that old? Im only 47. Sure I can ask my wife, she would say you look like your 40 or something nice. So I look at myself in the mirror do I look like a senior. I don't think so but how do I know.
Oh well.

Did my 4 mile walk in 62 mins. And a motercycle tried to run me over. I guess its a good thing to run over seniors. And then when he passed me he fliped me off. This is out in the middle of the desert. I'll have to make sure I take the sign off my back that says kick me.

Also stayed within my calories 1,400 today.
