On my way to 63kgs

Well tomorrow I'm back to counting calories and regular exercise so today I'm going to indulge a bit. I'm going to make home made burgers (not too bad) with home made bread rolls and chocolate brownies.(special request from my son and his girlfriend). Don't mind if the weight goes up a little bit as I'll soon lose it again. I'll be happy if I reach 145 lbs by christmas and then I can start to decide how much more I want to lose.

I figured you'd be packed out with stuff organised! Don't forget to go to Bravissimo in Covent Garden whilst you are in London - need to phone ahead and book an appointment though.

YAY to getting back on track tomorrow! When are your group exercise classes starting? That should be soon now everyone has finished work for the winter (how great does that sound!!! I'd love to finish work for the winter and have 4 months off!)

There's actually a Bravissimo shop in Oxford street. I'm going to ring ahead for an appointment and I can't wait to get some proper fitted bras for probably the first time in my life.
Hopefully starting to exercise tomorrow but just walking until one of my friends gets a bit fitter again. It is great to have 5 or 6 months off. That's the way I always used to work and I've had jobs where I've worked over 80 hours a week with no day off for 6 months. I really miss some of my friends in the summer as I hardly get to see them.

Been very naughty today. We ended up making pancakes instead of chocolate brownies and I ate too many and then we have just been to a children's party and pigged out!!!!! Oh well I'm told that sometimes a feed up gives the metabolism a kick start which would be great as I am going to start trying to lose weight again from tomorrow instead of just maintaining.

I've been sort of coasting and maintaining this month too, even though I'm only a few pounds away from my original goal. Too much celebrating of birthdays and anniveraries I think. I'm gonna keep coasting thru this week and after this next weekend I plan to start up again and buckle down. Hopefully I can lose a few pounds yet before the holidays start up.

Do you think it will be hard to lose thru the upcoming holidays?

oh you will LOVE Bravissimo!! I felt like a new woman!! Literally! And proud of my cleavage as opposed to buying "minimiser" bras in M&S.

We don't really do much apart from Christmas day and boxing day here in the UK - no thanksgiving dinner...so I'm planning to drop some weight before Christmas to give myself a buffer to pig out on those couple of days and use the time off work to do some serious running :D To be honest, I think my eating habits/lifestyle has changed so much that I couldn't eat at the same level that I did before anyway without feeling sick.

I know that it will be hard for me to not put on weight over the holidays. Our family tradition is 4 days of non stop binging starting on 24th of December. This year most of the family including my son and girlfriend, my sister and most of my neices are all on a bit of a health kick so I think we need to get together beforehand and agree to allow ourseves to binge a bit on christmas day but to go easier on the other days. Then of course we have new year, then kings day which is when the Spanish celebrate Christmas and then my 8 day holiday in England where my family there love to cook us all the traditional stodgy English food when we visit.
I agree with Jay that I don't think that we are capable of pigging out in the same way that we used to.
After that I'll still have 6 months to get to goal before my son's wedding.

Hey Ecky! I read a cool story somebody submitted to a magazine. The person was talking about how everyone in her family puts money in a jar on Thanksgiving and whoever gains the least amount of weight come Christmas time wins the cash. Might be great motivation! Hope you're doing well! =)

Holiday cookies have been my downfall in the past. I like the money contest idea though, it seems like a way to make some fun ou tof the idea of being somewhat responsible.

Hiya Eycky!

Missed ya hun. Hope you're doing well over there.

Sad times are behind me here and just wanted to thank you for the kind thoughts. They were well received and helped in gettin me thru a tuff time.

Take care.

LOL, not to worry I'm a really cheap date!!!

Great to have you back flumes. The threads are already livening up. Your humour is contagious. :D

Hahahaha, poor Flumes! I would leave you a broke man after paying for my drinking! I'm a "needs 2 bottles of wine to feel a buzz" type girl, I'm afraid!

Hope you ladies are okay with me dancing on tables and singing out of key to 80's songs. It's my party trick ;) OH OH, I can put my fist in my mouth as well!

Have a good dayy Ecky!

Hmmm.... fist in the mouth. I might have to try that one. My trick is getting old (deep throating a party horn) so I need new material!
