Omega's journey

Thanks Kara, Michelle, Kellye and Angel. I am spending a fair bit of time on that other forum these days... I know that I see some of you there from time to time.

I'm new here but I'd like to say that reading through your diary and seeing your pics is really a great inspiration. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I hope I'll be as strong willed as you have been!

Thank you Rosie. We all have it within us to make the most extraordinary changes and be successful in making our weight loss dreams come true.

Thanks for visiting my diary and congratulating me on my weight loss. We can all make amazing changes with the right information and support.

I have been pretty busy putting the finishing touches to a challenge that I am going to be running through the whole month of December on ANOTHER DIET FORUM. It should be really fun and very beneficial for all entrants.

It certainly has a Christmas theme and is flexible enough to be able to fit around everyone's individual party and holiday plans whilst covering what I consider to be the most important lessons in weight control that I have utilised during my weight loss project.

I think that a lot of people (including very experienced people) will learn something new...

I am getting really excited about it as I am going to be unveiling it in the challenges section there over the next few days - Wednesday at the latest!!!

Whilst weight loss is part of the points structure for those looking to reduce their weight - there are also going to be equivalent points for people in maintenance and people who are aiming for a controlled gain - so pregnant ladies and people looking to gain muscle can compete with the same chance of winning...

December is a key month for people who recognise that they need to control their weight. The average (non dieting) person actually gains 7 pounds over that month. By staying on track we can lock in our progress to date and hopefully improve our position - rather than slide backwards.

Experienced direction and an awesome support chat thread always makes success a lot more likely.

It will be my Christmas gift to forum friends from here who visit from time to time and from there. Also to others that join me for the ride. Naturally all are welcome to join.

I have finally got my challenge finished and posted.

If anyone happens to be a member of ANOTHER DIET FORUM - pop over and check it out. I hope that you like it.

Hi Chillen

Good to see you over here. I've been busy setting up a challenge over on my other forum (where my before/after pictures are) and it is going to be lots of fun. It should help a few folk stay on the straight and narrow through the festive season.

You can join in if you like. People dont need to be losing weight to join in my challenges. I believe in a sophisticated points structure with different categories of entrants... Even super fit people like you can play along and have a good chance of winning.

I was surprised to see you posting in my pal Cord's diary. I didnt know that you ever came over here.

Take care
Margaret

Hi Omega,
Hope you don't mind me having a look around your thread for inspiration. Sounds like you're doing great!

It is a joy to have a visitor. Check out my new challenge too. It is only just starting now and should provide a lot of inspiration. Details are on the last couple of pages of this diary...

Thanks Margaret I'll have a little look through your diary. Your posts are always very insparational.
I checked out the pictures of your S/W book - massive congratulations. All your stickers are really well deserved. I have to say I'm a big kid when it comes to getting each half stone award, mainly because of the sticker!

Take care,

Becky XX

Becky - I am not surprised that you like collecting the half stone stickers. I was delighted with mine. It means that whenever I visit another meeting - by book basically is like a ticker and shouts my weight loss to the people there. It certainly seems to get me special treatment LOL...

Thanks for your congratulations.

I am spending more and more of my time over at the other forum these days. A lot of the people that were members here a year or two ago seem to have migrated over there now. It is fun keeping up with old friends. I also like the fact that I can still enter all the challenges there. There is hardly ever a challenge that people in maintenance can enter on this forum and have as good a chance of winning as someone with a lot of weight still to lose... The challenges always did help to keep me on track.

I rarely have time to get by here anymore but got an email alerting me to new posts on this thread and I just want to say congrats on reaching your weight goal Omega!!

I need to find time to get by here as I've put on about 7 pounds since I was here last and I'm definitely feeling it in my jeans. Christmas didn't help much either. :)

Anyhow...congrats on reaching goal lady!!

ETA...what other forum? Is that where Mal has disappeared to?

Thanks Judy. Just like everyone else - I have gained weight over the past 12 days - but I am hoping that some of it will be sodium based. I will know better over the next week when I drink my proper water and eat more normally.

My weight is high at the minute but I was at my goal weight a mere two weeks ago. I am hoping to be back there soon - but hate moving my ticker away from goal...

A lot of the people that used to be here hang out at ANOTHER DIET FORUM these days. It tends to be more supportive and the information is organised in a way that is easier to take on board. There tends to be better challenges there too. In addition there are sections on loads of other topics from losing weight with medical issues to maintenance. As such it is a much better fit for a lot of people - especially folk who actually get to or near goal (since there is nothing here on maintenance)...

My before / after pictures thread is over there. I will link it. You would be able to look around and join up if you fancied...

PM me if you have any difficulties in getting there or posting...

Mal is not over there - but some of the other mods from here are pretty active over there - but I am sure that Mal still posts on Steve's FORUM BODY IMPROVEMENTS... The link is in his signature if you dont get there from googling...
