Omega's journey

Margaret,

What absolutely awesome results for November.

Congratulations - and yes, you certainly earned every single ounce.

Frankie

Thanks Phoebe and Frankie.

I think that month-end is an appropriate time for reflection.

We are all facing a demanding task and I think that there is something motivating in celebrating our many accomplishments.

Thanks Stacy

You say the sweetest things.

On this forum we all inspire each other.

Take care

Saturday 01/12/07

I am OK but certainly carrying germs. Taking paracetamol at max dose and filling paper hankies. Sleeping not so brilliantly so not quite on top of things mentally.

Weather dry for this morning's walk - but wet for the afternoon.

Badly messed up the creaming regime and didn’t organise my day well at all. Was really late going to Tescos and in consequence was really late cooking and eating the main meal. Having said that - I did do all my exercise and my food was adequately controlled with sufficient protein – some of it was just late. I could well see a temporary gain because of this.

Inspired by the challenge went out to the garage and found my box of slimming magazines from years gone by. The box was unopened from the house move in 2000 not to mention the one in 2002. Husband less than impressed that I have brought more things into the house – but he knows better than to get between me and something that has my prime focus (like my weight loss project has). Although not OCD like Stacy – I am certainly inclined to be obsessive!

General Data:

Morning walk = 6.3 miles.
Round the block = 5 times
Extra exercises = none
Weight = 12st 10.2lbs (i.e. 178.2 pounds)
Steps = 29,164
Distance = 10.81 miles
Remembered to take normal vitamin / supplements
Continued my creaming regime badly – missed both bio-oil massages, body lotion massage and night time moisturising.

My Food / Drink:

For this week’s challenge I basically need 90g protein

3 weetabix, sweetener, 350 ml skimmed milk ===17.3g prot
1 handful honey Shreddies ===2.9g prot
150g crumbed ham ===32.7g prot
pork loin steak, tin of baked beans ===27.3g+17.6g prot
1 large handful of raisins ===3g prot
1 glass orange juice ===1g
2 litres of cold water
some diet cola

So this was 101.8g protein

Husband’s food / drink
6 small slices toast, olive spread, marmite
calamari 1220 calories
Viennetta 812 calories
wine gums
lots of diet cola

Haven't you just had the most BRILLIANT November!!! WELL DONE!

Thanks for updating on just how much exercise you've been doing, as well as keeping such a detailed food journal. It is interesting and inspiring! Hope you are feeling 100% very soon; glad DH is back to work.

Cheers
Janice

:leaving: WOW way to go on that 6.3 mile walk!!
You are ticking the ticker away lol say that fast
10 x's hahaha.Hope you have a wonderful day Tammy

Thanks for visiting. I love having visitors to my diary. I hope that things are going well for you both.

Janice

I suppose when I was working I wrote one too many month-end reports. It is just a habit that is difficult to break.

It is nice at the end of the month to look back over the month and I think that you can get a really good impression of how things have gone and are going.

I find writing my own report quite a motivating task - and would love it if other people wrote one too. Part of me thinks that it would make a great challenge. If we had one thread with everyone's month-end report it could make really good reading.

Thanks for the good wishes - I still have cold, but it is not stopping me from walking.

Tammy

I swear that I would never lose weight if I didnt walk 6.3 miles every morning. I am just grateful that I can keep on losing weight by doing it. You are certainly ticking your ticker away too!

Take care

Hi Margaret
Sounds like you had a great weekend. :)
Way to go on not letting anything get in your way of walking.
I am hoping that if the wind will let up around here for a bit to maybe get in a short walk. Not 6.3 miles but maybe like 1. LOL
Keep up all the hard work!

Hi Bellaryna

Thanks for visiting and the words of encouragement.

I have had a pretty busy day with all my walks and my keep fit class. I really enjoy the aerobics.

One thing is for sure - if I had just had surgery I would not be thinking of doing 6.3 miles. I dont think that I would be queueing up to do the 1 mile that you mention. A short walk is always nice if the weather is ok though.

Take care

Hi There Margaret!! I hear ya on the germs, I've currently got a head cold and I'm trying to work past it as quickly as I can, I'm a little worn down today, so probably no exercise, but I'm going to do my best to eat well, which shouldn't be hard since I have no appetite.

Good luck to you this week, hope your weather gets better and the bug (germs) go away!
HUGS
Kim

Hi Kim

Thanks for visiting.

I hope that your bug (germs) go away too. Do as I do - max dose paracetemol and plenty of fruit / fruit juice for vit C. I also start on the honey. It is a natural mild antibiotic and a teaspoonful will do your diet no harm.

They will miss you at your gym. You are always there during the week.

Dont these germs know that there is no room in our busy schedule for their diversions. We are ladies on a mission to lose weight.

Take care

Man! Sorry you are under the weather, but dang, lady! You do more exercise sick than most people do when well. You're awesome.

Howdy Margertt,'
Hope you get to feeling better,my bug
lasted a lil over 2 weeks and I must say the over the counter
medicines actually worked for a change!
Also I noticed your hubby has been doing an awesome job to!

to have others root you on and enciurage you to stick to it,I had my friend
who I nolonger see cuz she moved ,she opened 1 on here from my computer
so you can have 2 account's.aYOU 2 ARE DOING SO GR8!HAVE A GR8 DAY AND GET EEL SOON TAMMY :seeya:

Thanks everyone for visiting me and encouraging me so much. I really appreciate all your company on this huge journey of mine.:grouphug:

Phoebe

We all need to be 100% a.s.a.p.
These germs are just not welcome.
We should give them away to another forum - we are all sick of them here.

Amber

You say the sweetest things - but I know that you are no slouch in the exercise stakes yourself.
I really firmly believe that excessive levels of walking is the only way to effectively shift this huge bulk of mine. I finally have it in my sights and nothing is going to stop me.

Tammy

Thanks for the get well wishes.

I suggested to hubby that he got on the forum - but he didnt seem keen. He likes to play computer games and stuff like that. When he has the computer he just wants to try and shoot things.

I can only do this now because he is watching TV.

I know that he is trying. Like all of us - he has his good days and his less good days.

Frankie

Thanks. I am still well enough to get out and do my walking so you still have company (even if I am on another continent).

Angel

Thanks. Nothing and no amount of germs can get between me and my weight loss project.

Take care:seeya:
