Hi Margaret!

Your workouts and food are amazing! And it's great that hubby is eating healthier as well! I hope he gets to feeling much better very soon!!!

Yes, you certainly have walked yourself to Onederland, and should feel very proud of yourself. It is a huge accomplishment.

I'm glad that you have managed to avoid catching hubby's cold. I hope he feels better shortly. :)

I'm off to go work on my application. :D

Frankie, Tyly and Kimberly

Thanks for visiting me again. All this support really helps me to keep focused.
Hubby is certainly perkier - I think that he will be back to work tomorrow. I am hoping that we can do this week's shopping in the car - it is so much easier.

Well I have been on my long walk for today and I have weighed in. Joy at the scales - not only am I out of the teen stones (first time last Saturday) - but now I am into the 170s. Now I will admit that I combined my weighing ritual (pee, walk 6 miles, pee again before weighing) with Stacy's (poo before weighing) so we really talking about a weight at empty.
Thursday's weight 12 stone 10.8 pounds which is 178.8 pounds.
If only I can keep it off (or the main of it) - it will really be good for my two losing weight on November challenges not to mention get my team points in the Christmas challenge.

Frankie

I am pleased that you enjoyed your walk. It is always nicer if it is not raining.

Tyly

If I dont walk a lot each day I am lost - I dont really have an option in it. Hubby is certainly eating better - he has treats but I am convinced that they are at an allowable level for someone his size. I go over the top with my raisins - so am far from perfect.

Kimberly

I am pleased that you are doing some work on your application. It will take time and effort - and it is too easy to shelve things like that and not get them done.

Take care

WOW.............Margaret............178!!!!! Congrats!!!

I think it would be safe to say that everyone on this board is proud of you!

I hope your hubby is feeling better.

I'm just so happy for you and your loss. ( hmm...when I read that back...somehow that doesn't sound right) But I'm very happy you have dropped more weight. ;)

Congrats again BIG LOSER!!

Anne

Thanks Anne

I must admit to being pretty pleased.

I am off out walking again in a minute.

Hey Margaret!
Thanks for stopping by my diary and wishing me some encouragement with the weight-loss as well as the surgery.
I need to do more walking but around here there are not to many places you could go before the sidewalks end and then you have to worry about being hit by a car. We do have a Nature Preserve of sorts not to far from the house but I am sooooo paranoid to walk by myself. Guess I just need to get over it! hahaha
Hope hubby is back to his old self soon.
Catch ya later!

Hi Bellaryna

Thanks for visiting. I hope that everything is going well for you after your surgery - I'll try and get over to your diary to have a look.

I would not lose any weight if it wasnt for the walking - I have tried and failed too many times not to know this for a fact.

There is nothing wrong with being a little paranoid. We all need to trust our instincts sometimes.

I hope that you do find somewhere comfortable to walk because if the weather is pleasant it is an enjoyable form of exercise. It also gives a wonderful opportunity to mull over life's little problems.

Hubby is improving well and should be back to work tomorrow. He has spent much of today playing computer games on the PC (and not letting me have much of a turn).

Take care

CONGRATS ON HITTING THE 170S!! THAT IS FANTASTIC!

Glad to hear hubby's health is improving. :)

I am finished with the app, just have to print if off for my records, and get permission from one of my verifiers before sending it off.

Hi Kimberly

Thanks for the congratulations. Lets just hope that it doesnt go back up again by too much before Saturday's weigh-in. I often go up a bit after a new low.

I am pleased that you have sorted out the application. Just a question of nagging the verifier. Wish I could help - I'm really good at nagging!

Take care

Margaret,

Congratulations!!!!!! What a fabulous and well deserved achievement - and all on your own two feet!!

Thanks for being such encouragement for me, and I am sure so may others, on this site.

Frankie

Thanks for visiting.

Niles

This weight loss project is a full time job for me - and has monopolised my life since the end of February - but I have to say that I can hardly believe that I have managed to lose as much weight.

I know that I am technically obese still - but I feel so slim I keep feeling my bones under my skin on my side in disbelief.

Life is great and it is a great deal easier.

I used to feel awkward when I went out and people were more likely to make cruel and hurtful remarks.

Now I have loads of energy. It is almost unbelievable that I walk the distances which I do. I have walked turned 300 miles this month.

Frankie

Thanks for your congratulations. I have done nothing that you cannot do - and indeed you are doing using the same methods.

Do not believe the "expert" from the gym that told you that walking will not help you lose weight.

out this weekend.I hope you have a wonderful Friday,Tammy:seeya:

Thanks for visiting me.

Tammy

I must admit to being rather pleased to be in the 170s - you will be back there any day with all that work on the exercise bike that you do. Our weights are so close. I just hope that my weight will stay down long enough for the challenge weigh-in on Saturday. I normally wiggle back up from a new low for a few days before I manage to hold it down and shoot for another new low.

I am pleased that the card arrived ok. I hope that your Friday is wonderful too.

Amber

You wouldnt believe it - Frankie was paying a fortune to a personal trainer. She told him that she couldnt get to the gym easily (car problems) - so she would put her membership on hold and have no personal training sessions for a while. She said that she would continue by herself and do a lot of walking - and he told her that she would never lose any weight that way.

I have put her right on that idea. I do tons of walking and it is the only really difference between this weight loss project and past attempts where I worked so hard with my calories and saw such a poor weight loss - most people would not believe it possible (you might because I swear that the PCOS was working against me). Eventually I always gave up and the hard-lost pounds piled back on immediately.

Frankie is doing a fair bit of walking and also does kayaking and power yoga. I am convinced that while monitoring her diet (and she is studying nutrition) - the pounds will come tumbling off her.

Take care

I agree that Frankie's trainer is full of it. He probably was afraid she'd start walking and never come back to the gym, causing him to lose $$. Sad, but probably true.

Margaret, I looked at the last day's food that you logged, and I think the ham and chicken alone should've given you very close to 90g of protein. I think you shouldn't have any trouble with the protein this week. :)

Verifier has given permission, now I just have to print it out (for my own records) and then I'll click send. I will do this tomorrow as it's 4am here and I'm tired and going to bed--about time, eh? ;)

Have a super Friday. Did hubby feel well enough to go to work today?

Thanks Kimberly

Hubby has gone off to work today thanks. I knew that he was perkier yesterday so I thought that he would.

I am out walking in about 10 minutes.

Now get to bed and get some sleep. You need some rest.

Sleep well

Take care
